Understanding CMP stacking hyperbola in terms of partial derivative wavefield
Common midpoint (CMP) stacking and velocity analysis
are fundamental seismic imaging concepts based on
a layered velocity model. We relate these concepts to
partial derivative seismograms, which give seismic amplitude
variations as a function of layer coordinates. The
CMP stacking hyperbola can be described kinematically
by partial derivative seismograms, resulting in an interesting
seismic imaging relationship
Overflow-detectable Floating-point Fully Homomorphic Encryption
We propose a floating-point fully homomorphic encryption (FPFHE) based on torus fully homomorphic encryption equipped with programmable bootstrapping.
Specifically, FPFHE for 32-bit and 64-bit floating-point messages are implemented, the latter being state-of-the-art precision in FHEs.
Also, a ciphertext is constructed to check if an overflow had occurred or not while evaluating arithmetic circuits with FPFHE, which is useful when the message space or arithmetic circuit is too complex to estimate a bound of outputs such as deep learning applications
Injection scheme with deflecting cavity for a fourth-generation storage ring
We suggest a new on-axis injection scheme that uses a transverse deflecting rf cavity to kick the incoming beam into an already populated bucket but with a timing offset from the synchronous phase. In a new on-axis injection scheme, two deflecting rf cavities are required: one upstream of the injection point that crabs the stored beam and the other downstream of the injection point that both uncrabs the stored beam and kicks the incoming beam onto the axis of the orbital plane. We present a theoretical analysis and numerical simulations of the stored beam and injected beam with the new injection scheme.11Ysciescopu
