Wave Equations for Classical Two-Component Proca Fields in Curved Spacetimes with Torsionless Affinities
The world formulation of the full theory of classical Proca fields in
generally relativistic spacetimes is concisely reviewed and the entire set of
pertinent field equations is transcribed in a straightforward way into the
framework of one of the Infeld-van der Waerden formalisms. Some well-known
calculational techniques are then utilized for deriving the wave equations that
control the propagation of the fields allowed for. It appears that no
interaction couplings between such fields and electromagnetic curvatures are
carried by the wave equations at issue. What results is, in effect, that the
only interactions which ultimately occur in the theoretical context under
consideration involve strictly Proca fields and wave functions for gravitons.Comment: Many improvements on the paper have still been made. In particular,

Estrutura da comunidade arborea em uma floresta paludosa de restinga na planicie costeira do sul do Brasil = Tree community structure in a restinga swamp forest in the coastal plain of Southern Brazil
Abstract and Keywords in Portuguese and EnglishAs florestas de restinga desenvolvem-se em condições ambientais que as tornam peculiares quando comparadas a outras formações florestais atlânticas. = The restinga forests develop under environmental conditions that make them unique when compared to other Atlantic forest formations. In this study, we evaluated the composition, diversity and phytosociological parameters of the tree community structure in a restinga swamp forest in the North coast of Rio Grande do Sul state, Brazil. Individuals with DBH (diameter at breast height) ≥ 5 cm were sampled in 50 plots of 10 x 10 m located in the interior of a forest remnant. We assessed tree diversity through species richness, Shannon index (H’) and Pielou evenness (J). We produced graphics of height and diameter distribution and a vegetation profile. We sampled 1,027 individuals belonging to 38 species. The species with the greatest importance in community were Myrcia brasiliensis Kiaersk., Ocotea pulchella (Nees & Mart.) Mez and Guarea macrophyla Vahl, the first ones occurring in the upper stratum and the latter occurring predominantly in the lower stratum of the forest. The low species richness and the low diversity indices (H’ = 2.75 nats.ind-1, J = 0.75), as well as the dominance of some species, corroborate the pattern found in southern and southeastern Brazilian swamp forests and highlight the peculiarity of this forest when compared to the adjacent more diverse and more developed Atlantic forests.Ronaldo dos Santos-Junior, Juliana Gonçalves da Silva and Rafael Martin

Multiplicity of positive solutions for a degenerate nonlocal problem with p-Laplacian
We consider a nonlinear boundary value problem with degenerate nonlocal term depending on the Lq-norm of the solution and the p-Laplace operator. We prove the multiplicity of positive solutions for the problem, where the number of solutions doubles the number of "positive bumps"of the degenerate term. The solutions are also ordered according to their Lq-norms

TODD-Graphene: A Novel Porous 2D Carbon Allotrope for High-Performance Lithium-Ion Batteries
The class of 2D carbon allotropes has garnered significant attention due to
its exceptional optoelectronic and mechanical properties, crucial for diverse
device applications, such as energy storage. This study employs density
functional theory calculations, ab initio molecular dynamics (AIMD), and
classical reactive (ReaxFF) molecular dynamics (MD) simulations to introduce
TODD-Graphene, a novel 2D planar carbon allotrope with a porous structure
composed of 3-8-10-12 carbon rings. TODD-G exhibits intrinsic metallic
properties with low formation energy and demonstrates exceptional dynamic,
thermal, and mechanical stability. Calculations reveal a high theoretical
capacity for adsorbing Li atoms by showing a low average diffusion barrier of
0.83 eV and a metallic framework boasting excellent conductivity, emerging as a
promising anode material for lithium-ion batteries. We also calculated the
charge carrier mobility for electrons and holes in TOOD-G, and the values
surpassed the graphene ones. Classical reactive MD simulation results suggested
its structural integrity with no bond reconstructions at 1800 K.Comment: 21 pages, 11 figure
