The Effect of Coumarin Derivatives(compounds) on the Vibrio cholerae Isolates from Different Clinical Iraqi Sources
From a large number of bacterial samples collected from different hospital in Iraq in central health laboratory ,only ten isolates were identified primary as Vibrio. A number of morphology and biochemical test were carried out to complete this identification that showed all bacterial isolates were related to Vibrio cholerae .In this study all Vibrio isolates were investigated for Bio typing and the result showed that all (10) isolate were related to (Eltor biotypes) .Also, the susceptibility test towards eight antibiotics were carried out .
Results shows that ciprofloxacin , Norfloxacin, Erythromycin, Ampicillin, ceftriaxone and Amikacin were the most effective antibiotics and their resistance percentage were 20%,20%,20, 20,30% and 30% respectively ,While Chloramphenicol and Co- trimoxazole were less effective and their resistance percentage were 90% both of them. Three (3,5,6) isolates V. cholerae were selected depending on results of antibiotics sensitivity tests as showed multiple –antibiotics resistance(100%).
Then tested to study the effect of coumarin derivatives compounds (1, 2, 3 ) which showed inhibitory effect on V. cholera (3,5,6) isolates and the compound ( 3 ) showed the highest antibacterial activity of (12,15,14 mm) of inhibition zone diameter against V. cholera (3,5,6) isolates respectively.
Also, these Iraqi isolates (3,5,6) used to test the effect of acridine orange (0.1%) as acuring agent , the results showed that all (3) isolates V. cholerae were sensitive to (ciprofloxacin, ceftrixone and Norfloxacin), While the rest were resistance to remained five antibiotics.
The results of Agarose –gel electrophoresis of both normal V. cholerae (3,5,6) and cured isolates showed the presence of chromosomal and plasmid DNA bands in the normal case ,While only chromosomal DNA bands occur with V. cholerae (isolate 8) treated with an acridine orange at concentration of (10-2 to 10-4)
Factors affecting loyalty of mobile social networks' users
Increasing world-wide trends of using mobile social networks and the rise of competition between different social applications makes it essential for social network providers and marketers to identify the key factors leading to user loyalty. The purpose of this paper is to identify the key factors that affect the loyalty of mobile social networks users. The proposed model was tested through structural equation modeling techniques and an online survey. The sample consisted of 388 mobile social networks users in Iran. The results indicate that sociability, entertainment and fashion are primary drivers of attitude toward a mobile social network. The results also show the significant role of attitude and satisfaction on consumer loyalty. This study helps both marketers and mobile social network providers know the key drivers of customer loyalty in order to tailor their marketing efforts and communication strategies
Exploring the Capabilities of Analytic Network Process in Curriculum-Related Decisions-making Studies
Curriculum development and design of learning systems have become a sophisticated process due to diverse set of learning needs and differences in learners' interests, contents, teaching-learning approaches and the impact of political, social and economic factors, and, hence, decision-making about this complex process and its related factors must be done scientifically. Therefore, choosing the effective approaches that lead us to make appropriate decisions is of paramount importance. The aim of this study is to investigate the role of Analytic Network Process in decision making for the curriculum development based on philosophical method. In this paper, multi-criteria decision-making techniques, and differences between the Analytic Hierarchy Process with Analytic Network Process were analyzed. Then, the nature of the curriculum design and the complexity of decision-making in this field were discussed, and its correlation with new methods was analyzed. The findings indicated the efficiency of the Analytic Network Process in managing the challenges of curriculum implementation, recognizing the influential and complex factors in curriculum development, developing futuristic outlook toward curriculum changes, and analyzing the educational needs which are beneficial for researchers and curriculum planners
E-participation behavioral in e-government in Malaysia
Electronic government or e-government provides great potential for citizens and governments to reduce information cost and maximize the speed of government-citizen interaction. Nearly all governments around the world use Web-based technologies to provide their citizens with access to government services, and to enhance the chances for e-participation in democratic institutions and processes. In Malaysia, the e-government implementation started in 1997 with the aim to deliver services and information effectively and efficiently, and to achieve a fully developed country in the year 2020. Nowadays, many governments of developing country have utilized Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to deliver their services to citizens, and there is also an increasing demand for successful implementation of e-government services within developing nations. It is therefore essential that citizens must be able to use the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in order to assure nation-wide e-participation besides improving channels and contents of public service deliveries on the part of the government. In view of this, the aims of this chapter are to present the current state of e-government in Malaysia, to discuss participation behavioral in the implementation of e-government services, and to highlight approaches that can be considered in enhancing the e-government services through this participation behavioral
Evaluating Social Media
Despite the widespread adoption and popularity of social media, research on measuring the quantifiable impact of popular social media platforms remains scarce.To this end, this study attempts to investigate how the influence of social media can be assessed in quantitative terms.The main objective is to develop a new assessment model able to integrate a broad range of criteria such as likes, subscribers, comments, posts, shares, and links.The authors extend previous assessment models focused on individual platforms such as blogs and propose a Social Media Influence Assessment model (SMIA). The process of model development—criteria, dimensions, and formula—and its validation are discussed. The results indicate that social media's influence can be measured in a structured, quantifiable manner by utilising a set of nine criteria grouped into three dimensions: recognition, activity generation, and credibility
