Wash-Out in N_2-dominated leptogenesis
We study the wash-out of a cosmological baryon asymmetry produced via
leptogenesis by subsequent interactions. Therefore we focus on a scenario in
which a lepton asymmetry is established in the out-of-equilibrium decays of the
next-to-lightest right-handed neutrino. We apply the full classical Boltzmann
equations without the assumption of kinetic equilibrium and including all
quantum statistical factors to calculate the wash-out of the lepton asymmetry
by interactions of the lightest right-handed state. We include scattering
processes with top quarks in our analysis. This is of particular interest since
the wash-out is enhanced by scatterings and the use of mode equations with
quantum statistical distribution functions. In this way we provide a
restriction on the parameter space for this scenarios.Comment: 26 pages, 4 figures, profound revision, exposition is now in flavor

The Road Towards the ILC: Higgs, Top/QCD, Loops
The International Linear e+e- Collider (ILC) could go into operation in the
second half of the upcoming decade. Experimental analyses and theory
calculations for the physics at the ILC are currently performed. We review
recent progress, as presented at the LCWS06 in Bangalore, India, in the fields
of Higgs boson physics and top/QCD. Also the area of loop calculations,
necessary to achieve the required theory precision, is included.Comment: 7 pages, 1 figure. Plenary talk given at the LCWS06 March 2006,

QCD Corrections to t anti-b H^- Associated Production in e^+ e^- Annihilation
We calculate the QCD corrections to the cross section of e^+ e^- -> t anti-b
H^- and its charge-conjugate counterpart within the minimal supersymmetric
extension of the Standard Model. This process is particularly important if m_t
b H^+ and e^+ e^- -> H^+ H^- are
not allowed kinematically. Large logarithmic corrections that arise in the
on-mass-shell scheme of quark mass renormalization, especially from the t
anti-b H^- Yukawa coupling for large values of tan(beta), are resummed by
adopting the modified minimal-subtraction scheme, so that the convergence
behavior of the perturbative expansion is improved. The inclusion of the QCD
corrections leads to a significant reduction of the theoretical uncertainties
due to scheme and scale dependences.Comment: 21 pages (Latex), 8 figures (Postscript); detailed discussion of

CP violating asymmetry in decays
The CP violating asymmetry from the decay rates of
charged Higgs bosons into the lightest neutral Higgs boson and a boson
is calculated and discussed in the complex MSSM. The contributions from all
complex phases are considered, especially from the top-squark trilinear
coupling, which induces a large contribution to the CP asymmetry.Comment: 19 pages, 10 figures, version published in JHE
CP violation at one loop in the polarization-independent chargino production in e+e- collisions
Recently Osland and Vereshagin noticed, based on sample calculations of some
box diagrams, that in unpolarised e+e- collisions CP-odd effects in the
non-diagonal chargino-pair production process are generated at one-loop. Here
we perform a full one-loop analysis of these effects and point out that in some
cases the neglected vertex and self-energy contributions may play a dominant
role. We also show that CP asymmetries in chargino production are sensitive not
only to the phase of mu parameter in the chargino sector but also to the phase
of stop trilinear coupling A_t.Comment: 14 pages, 5 figure
Chern-Simons theory and the quantum Racah formula
We generalize several results on Chern-Simons models on Sigma x S1 in the
so-called "torus gauge" which were obtained in arXiv:math-ph/0507040 to the
case of general (simply-connected simple compact) structure groups and general
link colorings. In particular, we give a non-perturbative evaluation of the
Wilson loop observables corresponding to a special class of simple but
non-trivial links and show that their values are given by Turaev's shadow
invariant. As a byproduct we obtain a heuristic path integral derivation of the
quantum Racah formula
Two-loop SUSY QCD corrections to the chargino masses in the MSSM
We have calculated the two-loop strong interaction corrections to the
chargino pole masses in the DRbar'-scheme in the Minimal Supersymmetric
Standard Model (MSSM) with complex parameters. We have performed a detailed
numerical analysis for a particular point in the parameter space and found
corrections of a few tenths of a percent. We provide a computer program which
calculates chargino and neutralino masses with complex parameters including the
one-loop corrections and all two-loop SQCD effects.Comment: 12 pages, 11 figures, references modified, clarifications adde
Multi-excitonic complexes in single InGaN quantum dots
Cathodoluminescence spectra employing a shadow mask technique of InGaN layers
grown by metal organic chemical vapor deposition on Si(111) substrates are
reported. Sharp lines originating from InGaN quantum dots are observed.
Temperature dependent measurements reveal thermally induced carrier
redistribution between the quantum dots. Spectral diffusion is observed and was
used as a tool to correlate up to three lines that originate from the same
quantum dot. Variation of excitation density leads to identification of exciton
and biexciton. Binding and anti-binding complexes are discovered.Comment: 3 pages, 4 figure
