    The purpose of this study is to know the influence of gender diversity that proxied by the existance and proportion of female directors in a firm on capital structure that proxied by debt to asset ratio (DAR) and debt to equity ratio (DER). Sample of this study consists of 78 firms (384 observations) listed on Kompas100 Index between 2011 and 2015. Controlling for firm size, profitability (ROA) and asset growth, the results show that 1)the existance of female on board of directors has positive and significant effect on DAR 2)female proportion on board of directors has no significant effect on DAR 3) the existance of female on board of directors has no significant effect on DER 4)female proportion on board of directors has no significant effect on DE

    In many countries the use of mediation as a method of dispute settlement was initially voluntary. The banking dispute that begins with a costumer's complaint against the services of a bank which is not responded, will cause a dispute. The banking dispute can also occur due to contractual relationship between bank and debtor. There is several action that can be done by debtor for doing banking mediation, namely debtor has meeting with bank party to ask explanation for mediation, if acknowledge and understand so debtor can propose a mediation process to the implementation of banking mediation function, the debtor follows the mediation process and put it into an agreement. In this case, author also describe the benefits and weakness about banking mediation

    Penelitian ini dilakukan karena rendahnya hasil belajar mahasiswa jurusan teknik Teknologi Informasi dan Komputer pada materi kombinatorik. Salah satu sebab rendahnya hasil belajar adalah karena sebagian besar mahasiswa tidak memahami dengan baik konsep dasar kombinatorik yang sudah diajarkan sejak SMU. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh penerapan strategi contextual teaching and learning terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa pada materi kombinatorik di semester I jurusan teknik Teknologi Informasi dan Komputer Politeknik Negeri Lhokseumawe. Penelitian ini merupakan eksperimen semu (quasi experiment) dengan rancangan pretest-posttest control group design. Adapun analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah uji beda (uji t). Berdasarkan hasil analisis data penelitian diperoleh bahwa thitung = 2,49 dan ttabel = 1,68 pada taraf signifikan α = 0,05 dan dk = 41. Oleh karena itu dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan strategi contextual teaching and learning berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa pada materi kombinatorik di semester I jurusan teknik Teknologi Informasi dan Komputer Politeknik Negeri Lhokseumawe

    Pengaruh Kemampuan Membaca Alqur'an Terhadap Hasil Belajar Mahasiswa Politeknik Negeri Medan

    This article is the result of research to find information about student's ability and persistence to read Alqur'an and its effect on result of learning. The research method used is f test and t test and analyzed with simple linear regression statistic formula. This research was conducted on 46 students of Energy Conversion Technique State Polytechnic of Medan.Data collection techniques are observation, interview, questionnaire and oral and written test. Based on the statistical analysis concluded that the data show the hypothesis of researchers have been tested empirically that the ability to read Alqur'an has an influence on student learning outcomes. This is indicated by Fcount> F table (106.726> 4.06), so Ho is rejected and Ha accepted. Also indicated by the test tcount> ttable = (10.331> 2.01537).This means that there is a linear, positive and significant influence between the ability to read Alqur'an on student learning outcomes. Improved student learning outcomes are influenced by the ability to read Alqur'an 70.1%. The rest of the students' learning outcomes are influenced by factors that are not observed in this study that is equal to 29.9%.This finding becomes a great opportunity for the effort to improve student's learning achievement by way of guiding the ability of reading the official and sustainable Alqur'an. Concrete students need to be motivated to form groups (halaqah) Alqur'an on campus whose activities can be up to Polmed even by using media on line. For lecturers also have to give rewards for students who are diligent and have good reading ability, let alone he has a good recitations talent and has achievements in MTQN

    Penelitian ini dilakukan karena rendahnya hasil belajar mahasiswa jurusan teknik Teknologi Informasi dan Komputer pada materi determinan. Penelitian ini merupakan eksperimen semu (quasi experiment) dengan rancangan pretest-posttest control group design. Adapun analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah uji beda (uji t).     Pengaruh Penambahan Cu Pada Paduan Al-7si Terhadap Sifat Mekanis Dan Struktur Mikro Hasil Coran Kepala Silinder Motor 2 Tak Dengan Metode Pengecoran Lost Foam Casting

    Tujuan penelitan ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahkan Cu sebesar 3% pada paduan Al-7Si terhadap sifat fisis dan mekanis pada hasil coran kepala silinder (head cylinder) sepeda motor 2 Tak yang dicor dengan metode lost foam casting (LFC). Aluminium paduan Al-7Si sebelum dan sesudah penambahan Cu dilebur menggunakan dapur krusibel pada temperatur 750 oC dan selanjutnya dituangkan kedalam pola styrofoam yang sudah dipersiapkan sebelumnya. Untuk mengamati sifat fisis dan mekanis hasil penambahan Cu pada aluminium Al-7Si, hasil coran dipotong pada beberapa bagian seperti pada bagian sirip dan alas/bawah kepala silinder. Benda cor sebelum dan sesudah penambahan Cu diuji nilai kekerasannya menggunakan mesin uji kekerasan metode Rockwell, sedangkan struktur mikro diamati menggunakan mikroskop optik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penambahan Cu sebesar 3% pada paduan Al-7Si menurunkan nilai kekerasan benda cor baik pada bagian sirip maupun pada bagian alas dari hasil coran head cylinder.     Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa Dengan Menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Problem Solving Berbasis Eksperimen Dalam Pembelajaran Fisika

    The objective in this study to improve students learning outcomes by using learning model problem solving based experiments in learningphysics. The subjects were students of class XI IA-1 SMAN 1 Stabat totaling 38 people, consisting of 10 men and 28 women. Student learning outcomes inthe cognitive domain in the first cycle the average values posttest obtained 72.95 with N-gain of 37% including the category, the second cycle increasedto 77.30 with N-gain of 43% including the medium category. The number ofstudents who pass the study increased from 63.16% to 86.84% first cycle tothe second cycle. Student learning outcomes in the psychomotor domain ofthe first cycle obtained an average value of 72.11 including sufficient criteriaand the second cycle becomes 77.54 including both criteria. Classicalcompleteness in the first cycle of 52.63% and the second cycle becomes 89.47%. Student learning outcomes in the affective domain, the averagevalues obtained 64.47 including sufficient criterion in the first cycle and thesecond cycle becomes 75.09 including both criteria. Completeness in the firstcycle of 44.74% and the second cycle becomes 94.74%. Conclusion: there isan increase in student learning outcomes in the cognitive, psychomotordomain and affective domain by using learning problem solving basedexperiment
