Review of Technologies for the Recovery of Phosphorus from Waste Streams
Phosphorus is essential to the growth of living organisms, and, therefore, its presence is considered vital for all forms of life. Research shows that phosphate rock reserves are reducing. Phosphate rock is used as raw material for the production of phosphate-based fertilizers, and its lack of supply could have adverse effects
on the global food supply. New resources that can be a potential replacement for phosphate rock in the production of fertilizers and other phosphorus-containing substances are investigated. This paper provides an overview of technology implementations, methods, and processes, as well as the latest achievements in the field of phosphorus recovery from waste streams. Different methods of phosphorus regeneration from sewage sludge and solid waste, and forms of phosphate regeneration are described. In addition, an overview of the following methods is given: nanonucleation, adsorption and ion exchange, solar evaporation, biological assimilation of P, and membrane technologies
A FUNCTION PROPERTY OF POLYTROPHIC PROCESS WITH ASPECT OF TANGENT CONSTRUCTION
In this paper, starting from general tangent equation in arbitrary point of specified curve, using principles of differential geometry and given mathematical transformation tangent equation of polytrophic function in p ā v diagram was obtained. This form is convenient for solving numerous practical and theoretical problems in engineering thermodynamic by means of graphical method. It was shown that tangent can be constructed easily, using polytrophic equation only, but it is not example with other functions appearing in thermodynamics. Later, in this paper, we have given some methods, which refer to more exact construction of polytrophic and graphical analyze of polytrophic process

Divergent expression patterns of pituitary gonadotropin subunit and GnRH receptor genes to continuous GnRH in vitro and in vivo.
Continuous, as opposed to pulsatile, delivery of hypothalamic gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) leads to a marked decrease in secretion of pituitary gonadotropins LH and FSH and impairment of reproductive function. Here we studied the expression profile of gonadotropin subunit and GnRH receptor genes in rat pituitary in vitro and in vivo to clarify their expression profiles in the absence and continuous presence of GnRH. Culturing of pituitary cells in GnRH-free conditions downregulated Fshb, Cga, and Gnrhr expression, whereas continuous treatment with GnRH agonists upregulated Cga expression progressively and Gnrhr and Fshb expression transiently, accompanied by a prolonged blockade of Fshb but not Gnrhr expression. In contrast, Lhb expression was relatively insensitive to loss of endogenous GnRH and continuous treatment with GnRH, probably reflecting the status of Egr1 and Nr5a1 expression. Similar patterns of responses were observed in vivo after administration of a GnRH agonist. However, continuous treatment with GnRH stimulated LH secretion in vitro and in vivo, leading to decrease in LH cell content despite high basal Lhb expression. These data suggest that blockade of Fshb expression and depletion of the LH secretory pool are two major factors accounting for weakening of the gonadotroph secretory function during continuous GnRH treatment

Trombin, kljuÄni hormon koagulacionoaterogenetske mreže posreduje u regulisanju tonusa i propustljivosti krvnih sudova, migracije i proliferacije VSMC, privlaÄenja monocita i raznih proinflamatornih markera u aterosklerotske lezije i svoje efekte ostvaruje direktno kao serinska proteinaza i aktivacijom svojih receptora spregnutih sa G proteinom (GPCR).
vascular diseases, such as atherosclerosis,
hypertension and restenosis, is excessive accumulation
and proliferation of vascular smooth muscle cells
(VSMC) within inner (intima) layer of vessel wall.
Thrombin, a key player in athero-coagulation
maze, mediates the regulation of vascular permeability
and contraction, migration and proliferation of VSMC,
attracting monocytes and a variety of proinflammatory markers in atherosclerotic lesions.
Thrombin exerts its effects either directly as serine
proteinases and/or via activation of its G proteins
coupled receptors (GPCR). It has been shown that
thrombin mediates transactivation of epidermal growth
factor receptor (EGFR) within the process of VSMC
proliferation. EGFR transactivation process through
the activation of thrombin protease activated receptor
(PAR), includes a matrix metalloproteinase cleavage of
membrane ligands precursors such as epidermal
growth factor like growth factor that binds heparin
(HB-EGF) that binds to the EGFR and activates it,
leading to VSMC proliferation via downstream
signaling pathways of mitogen activated protein kinase
(MAPK).
This review article presents review of the new
literature data concerning: the role of EGFR
activation in mediating the proliferative effect of
thrombin in VSMC and understanding of the concept of
the triple cascade of EGFR transactivation stimulated
by thrombin in the mechanism of VSMC proliferation
