A MANET (Mobile Ad hoc Network) is an accumulation of wireless mobile nodes which are autonomous and can dynamically self-organize that creates aprovisional network topology. Numerouspossible applications of MANETs necessitate group communications among several nodes, which is supported by multicasting. In a dynamic environment, it is difficult to maintain group membership management, which is a challenging task to implement robust and scalable multicast routing. For that reason, a novel Zone Based Multipath Disjoint Routing (ZBMDR) is proposed. The proposed ZBMDR is disjoint at the zones which can establish multiple zone disjoint routes between the source and the destination network zones which help to develop the network lifetime and also to reduce the congestion and communication overhead. The proposed ZBMDR protocol is simulated using the NS-2 (NS-2.39) and the experimental results are presented

An Optimized Energy Consumption Algorithm for Manet

AbstractPower-optimization is an essential issue for all types of mobile hosts in the network. This paper proposes a new approach for optimizing power consumption in mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) that consents to maximum life time of mobile hosts while transmitting a packet from the source to destination. It can be implemented by avoiding nodes which has a minimum residual battery power. The proposed approach is implemented by introducing a threshold value on each node and transmitting the equal length of packet on the route. This threshold indicates whether the node should be included in making routing decisions for a packet and length of the packet considered for equal power consumption. Extensive simulation results are presented to verify the effectiveness of the proposed approach

An Intelligent Hybrid Protocol for Effective Load Balancing and Energy Efficient Routing for MANETs

MANET (Mobile ad hoc network) is an autonomous decentralised network. And it is a collection of wireless mobile nodes that dynamically form a temporary network without the reliance of any infrastructure or central administration. Routing is a challenging task in manet. When the size and complexity increases the important challenge in manet is to avoid congestion with effective load balancing and improve energy, QoS parameters inside the network. In this work we propose a new hybrid protocol by combining ACO and Predator prey (LV) model which known as ACRRCC (Ant colony based rate regulating congestion control) method, which works efficiently in two phases. The efficient and optimal routing strategy is done by phase I using ant colony optimization. In phase II the congestion is majorly controlled by employing a mathematical model named predator-prey model which regulates the rate of the traffic flow in the network path. Performance of our proposed hybrid model ACRRCC yields good results under simulation study when compared with simple ACO

Gestational Diabetes mellitus (GDM) is a condition in which women exhibit high blood glucose levels during pregnancy due to insulin insufficiency or insulin resistance . Need for the study When I was posted in Antenatal ward, observed most of the Antenatal mothers with gestational diabetes mellitus were suffering from the complications like pre eclampsia and polyhydromnios. Their babies were also affected with macrosomia and hypoglycaemia. These babies were admitted in newborn intensive care unit. So I had an intention to control the blood sugar level by using la
