Combining Student-based Learning Activities with Teacher's Encouragements to Foster Learner Autonomy in Elt

Teacher's domination and authority used to prevail the traditional language teaching is now left and replaced by more acceptable concept of teaching. This concept emphasizes on developing the sense of learners' responsibility, independence, or autonomy, for better learning outcome. Autonomous language learners are those assumed to have greater responsibility on their own learning for their own needs. A series of guided practice through a step-by-step manner is needed in order that students can be possibly trained to be autonomous, independent learners. This paper discusses learning activities created and designed by the students combined with teacher's encouragements to foster learner autonomy. Some theories and previous studies on learner autonomy are analyzed to support the discussion. It is believed that the combination between the two important aspects in autonomous language learning will strengthen the efforts of promoting learner autonomy in ELT. Pengaruh Metode Pemasakan Terhadap Komposisi Kimia Dan Asam Amino Ikan Seluang (Rasbora Argyrotaenia)

The purpose this study was to determine the effect of different cooking methods (boiling, steaming, and deep frying) on chemical and amino acids composition of silver rasbora fish (Rasbora argyrotaenia). This method used completely randomized design (CRD) with three replications. Fresh silver rasbora served as control. During cooking, temperature was measured using thermocouple every minutes until done. The result showed that different cooking methods contributed to changes in chemical dan amino acid composition of silver rasbora fish. Steaming was the best method to maintain the high protein level of fish composed to boiling and deep frying. Results of analysis showed that the lowest water content (7.85%) was fand in deep fried fish while the lowest fat level was found in steamed fish with the value of 2.05%. The highest protein level was found in steamed fish is (12.223 mg/mL). Glutamic acid, leucine, proline and lysine were in high proportion of amino acid content in silver rasbora fish

Small businesses play an important role in the national economy, especially the absorption of workers. The problems of this study are: To find out how wingko babat entrepreneurs are able to be have social competentences of entrepreneurs. To find out what affects that can make wingko babat enrtrepreneurs survive in implementing sustainable business plans. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of Commitment, Trust, and Network toward Competetitive advantage. Population and samples in this study was all Wingko babat entrepreneur in the city of Semarang, namely 86 respondents. Analysis of the data used in this study is the Multiple Linear Regression Analysis. Kajian Ragam Bahasa Slogan Pada Papan Reklame Di Kota Medan (Kajian Sosiolinguistik)

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan fenomena penggunaan bahasa dalam slogan yang terdapat pada papan reklame di kota Medan dan menggambarkan ragam bahasa dalam slogan yang terdapat pada papan reklame di kota Medan. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dengan teknik dokumentasi berupa foto.Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahasa yang digunakan dalam slogan merupakan bahasa yang singkat dan pendek.Kebanyakan slogan tidak mengindahkan unsur sintaksis dan morfologi.Hal itu bertujuan untuk memudahkan masyarakat dalam mengingat slogan tersebut. Slogan yang ada pada papan reklame di kota Medan pada umumnya menggunakan bahasa Indonesia, bahasa asing yakni bahasa Inggris, dan beberapa diantara slogan menggunakan bahasa Indonesia yang dipadukan dengan bahasa asing. Selain itu juga terdapat slogan yang menggunakan dialek kedaerahan tertentu.Ragam bahasa yang digunakan dalam penulisan slogan adalah ragam bahasa USAha.Ragam bahasa ini berada diantara ragam formal dan ragam informal

Evaluasi Pengangkutan Sampah di Kota Pontianak

Pontianak merupakan ibukota daerah Kalimantan Barat yang memiliki jumlah penduduk sekitar 587.169 jiwa (BPS, 2014). Pertambahan jumlah penduduk sangat mempengaruhi terjadinya masalah sampah yaitu Perubahan pola konsumsi dan gaya hidup masyarakat yang dapat meningkatkan jumlah timbulan sampah, jenis, dan keberagaman karakteristik sampah. Meningkatnya volume timbulan sampah memerlukan pengelolaan. Pengelolaan sampah yang diselenggarakan oleh dinas kebersihan berfokus kepada pengumpulan dan pengangkutan ke Tempat Pembuangan Akhir (TPA). Alat pengangkutan sampah yang memadai akan dapat mengangkut seluruh sampah kota. Namun, jumlah alat pengangkutan sampah berupa arm roll yang dimiliki oleh dinas kebersihan saat ini hanya sebanyak 18 unit (Dinas Kebersihan, 2014). Jumlah tersebut belum cukup untuk mengangkut semua sampah yang ada di Kota Pontianak dan menyebabkan banyak sampah yang tertinggal di lokasi TPS. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola pengangkutan sampah di Kota Pontianak saat ini dan mengetahui manajemen pengangkutan sampah yang berkaitan dengan jumlah alat pengangkutan sampah dan ritasi pengangkutan sampah sesuai dengan volume sampah yang dihasilkan, serta mengetahui rute alternatif pengambilan sampah per kecamatan yang efektif di Kota Pontianak saat ini. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengambilan data adalah dengan cara observasi, studi literatur, dan studi dokumentasi. Observasi dilakukan di 6 kecamatan yang ada di Kota Pontianak. Pada tiap kecamatan dipilih 2 titik lokasi kontainer berdasarkan jarak terdekat dan terjauh dari lokasi TPA Batu Layang. Jadi, banyaknya titik lokasi kontainer yang digunakan sebagai sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 12 titik. Dalam pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode Stratified sampling. Stratified sampling adalah perilaku pemberian tingkatan atau kelas pada data yang dipilih secara acak berdasarkan jarak terdekat dan terjauh dari lokasi TPA. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pola pengangkutan yang digunakan di Kota Pontianak saat ini menggunakan sistem HCS (Hauled Container System) dan manajemen pengangkutan sampah di Kota Pontianak masih belum optimal karena adanya kekurangan jumlah alat penangkutan sampah berupa arm roll sebanyak 13 unit dengan ritasi pengangkutan menjadi 6 ritasi per hari. Penambahan jumlah arm roll sebanyak 13 unit dan peningkatan ritasi pengangkutan menjadi 6 ritasi per hari pada setiap pengangkutan menyebabkan semua sampah di Kota Pontianak dapat terangkut dengan baik dan tidak ada yang tersisa

Analisis Kemampuan Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) pada Guru Biologi SMA dalam Materi Sistem Saraf

This study aims to analyze the ability of Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) in high school biology teacher in the material of the nervous system. The method used is descriptive research, where researchers do not provide treatment to the object of research. Researchers only retrieve data without any changes. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling by 7 state senior high school (SMA) in Tangerang City from 15 state senior high school (SMA) in Tangerang, each represented by a single school subject teachers of biology class XI. Data collected through the charging instrument TPACK. Analysis of data by encoding based on seven categories in the framework TPACK (CK, PK, TK, PCK, TPK, TCK, TPACK). Based on the results of data analysis, ability TPACK 7 high school teacher in the city of Tangerang into the perception level (Pn). The conclusion is the ability Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) in high school biology teacher on the land (SMAN) in Tangerang City in the material of the nervous system have the perception towards harmonization of components TPACK because the participants were able to identify the difficulty of content and feel the need to transform content. Also, being able to identify appropriate teaching methods with the use of technology but does not explain how to use technology to change the contents and support the students\u27 learning process.

Penerapan Metode Weighted Product Model Untuk Seleksi Calon Karyawan

The development company is highly influenced by the performance of human resources, so that each company will try to get qualified employees. Constraints are typically faced by companies is the difficulty of selecting candidates who match the criteria, because the number of the incoming beam, so the possible occurrence of lack of proper decision-making, it certainly should not be allowed to drag on because it will affect the productivity of the company. A selection process of employees with the right candidate to be an important thing, because this process will be obtained from prospective employees who fit the criteria desired by the company. Application of the method is widely used to help solve the problem of selection candidates, one of the methods applied is the Weighted Product Model (WPM), because this method can solve the problems of multi-dimensional and one dimensional. It also produces rankings that can be used as a reference for decision- making right. Application of selection methods in the case of WPM candidates have weaknesses when used to assess a prospective employee this is due to the absence of minimum thresholds as a condition of graduation requirements
