    Tau mesonic decays and strong anomaly of PCAC

    Strong anomaly of the PCAC is found in τωππν\tau\rightarrow\omega \pi\pi\nu and ωρν\omega\rho\nu in the chiral limit. It originates in WZW anomaly. Theoretical result of τωππν\tau\rightarrow\omega\pi\pi\nu agrees with data well and the measurement of τωρν\tau\rightarrow\omega\rho\nu will confirm the strong anomaly of PCAC.     General Structure of Relativistic Vector Condensation

    We study relativistic massive vector condensation due to a non zero chemical potential associated to some of the global conserved charges of the theory. We show that the phase structure is very rich. More specifically there are three distinct phases depending on the value of one of the zero chemical potential vector self interaction terms. We also develop a formalism which enables us to investigate the vacuum structure and dispersion relations in the spontaneously broken phase of the theory. We show that in a certain limit of the couplings and for large chemical potential the theory is not stable. This limit, interestingly, corresponds to a gauge type limit often employed to economically describe the ordinary vector mesons self interactions in QCD.     Effective chiral Lagrangians for spin-1 mesons

    The commonly used types of effective theory for vector mesons are reviewed and their relationships clarified. They are shown to correspond to different choices of field for spin-1 particles and the rules for transforming between them are described. The importance of respecting chiral symmetry is stressed. The choice of fields that transform homogeneously under the nonlinear realisation of chiral symmetry imposes no preconceptions about the types of coupling for the mesons. This representation thus provides a convenient framework for relating different theories. It is also used to elucidate the nature of the assumptions in specific hidden-gauge and massive Yang-Mills models that have been widely used.Comment: 46 pages (RevTeX

    The Superfluid and Conformal Phase Transitions of Two-Color QCD

    The phase structure of two-color QCD is examined as a function of the chemical potential and the number of light quark flavors. We consider effective Lagrangians for two-color QCD containing the Goldstone excitations, spin-one particles and negative intrinsic parity terms. We discuss the possibility of a conformal phase transition and the enhancement of the global symmetries as the number of flavors is increased. The effects of a quark chemical potential on the spin-one particles and on the negative intrinsic parity terms are analyzed.     An alternative model for the electroweak symmetry breaking sector and its signature in future e-gamma colliders

    We perform a preliminary study of the deviations from the Standard Model prediction for the cross section for the process eγνeWγe \gamma \rightarrow \nu_e W \gamma. We work in the context of a higgsless chiral lagrangian model that includes an extra vector resonance VV and an anomalous γWV\gamma W V coupling.     Strangeness in the nucleon and the ratio of proton-to-neutron neutrino-induced quasi-elastic yield

    The electroweak form factors of the nucleon as obtained within a three flavor pseudoscalar vector meson soliton model are employed to predict the ratio of the proton and neutron yields from 12C^{12}C, which are induced by quasi-elastic neutrino reactions. These predictions are found to vary only moderately in the parameter space allowed by the model. The antineutrino flux of the up-coming experiment determining this ratio was previously overestimated. The corresponding correction is shown to have only a small effect on the predicted ratio.     Exploring \pp scattering in the \1N picture

    In the large NcN_c approximation to QCDQCD, the leading \pp scattering amplitude is expressed as the sum of an infinite number of tree diagrams. We investigate the possibility that an adequate approximation at energies up to somewhat more than one GeVGeV can be made by keeping diagrams which involve the exchange of resonances in this energy range in addition to the simplest chiral contact terms. In this approach crossing symmetry is automatic but individual terms tend to drastically violate partial wave unitarity. We first note that the introduction of the ρ\rho meson in a chirally invariant manner substantially delays the onset of drastic unitarity violation which would be present for the {\it current algebra} term alone. This suggests a possibility of local (in energy) cancellation which we then explore in a phenomenological way. We include exchanges of leading resonances up to the 1.3GeV1.3 GeV region. However, unitarity requires more structure which we model by a four derivative contact term or by a low lying scalar resonance which is presumably subleading in the \1N expansion, but may nevertheless be important. The latter two flavor model gives a reasonable description of the phase shift δ00\delta^0_0 up until around 860MeV860 MeV, before the effects associated which the KKˉK\bar{K} threshold come into play.Comment: 27 LaTex pages + 13 figures (also available in hard-copy

    Role of a_1(1260) resonance in multipion decays of light vector mesons

    The contribution of the a_1(1260) meson to the amplitudes of the decays rho(770) to 4 pi, omega(782) to 5 pi, and phi(1020) to 5 pi is analyzed in the chiral model of pseudoscalar, vector, and axial vector mesons based on the generalized hidden local symmetry added with the anomalous terms. The analysis shows that inclusion of a_1 meson in the intermediate states results in enhancement of the branching ratios of the above decays by the factor ranging from 1.3 to 1.9 depending on the mass of a_1 meson ranging from 1.23 GeV to m_{a_1}=m_rho sqrt{2}=1.09 GeV, the greater factor standing in case of lower mass of the a_1.Comment: 14 pages, 5 figure

    Two charged strangeonium-like structures observable in the Y(2175)ϕ(1020)π+πY(2175) \to \phi(1020)\pi^{+} \pi^{-} process

    Via the Initial Single Pion Emission (ISPE) mechanism, we study the ϕ(1020)π+\phi(1020)\pi^{+} invariant mass spectrum distribution of Y(2175)ϕ(1020)π+πY(2175) \to \phi(1020)\pi^{+} \pi^{-}. Our calculation indicates there exist a sharp peak structure (Zs1+Z_{s1}^+) close to the KKˉK\bar{K}^\ast threshold and a broad structure (Zs2+Z_{s2}^+) near the KKˉK^\ast\bar{K}^\ast threshold. In addition, we also investigate the ϕ(1680)ϕ(1020)π+π\phi(1680) \to \phi(1020)\pi^{+} \pi^{-} process due to the ISPE mechanism, where a sharp peak around the KKˉK\bar{K}^\ast threshold appears in the ϕ(1020)π+\phi(1020)\pi^{+} invariant mass spectrum distribution. We suggest to carry out the search for these charged strangeonium-like structures in future experiment, especially Belle II, Super-B and BESIII.Comment: 7 pages, 5 figures. Accepted by Eur. Phys. J.
