The study aims to estimate the extent to which the reflection wave is affected by the initial stress, magnetic field, and fractional parameter within a semiconductor photothermal diffusion medium when taking into account the Classical (CT) theory and the dual-phase-lag (DPL) theory. Its problem is defined in examining the generalized framework concerning plasma, thermoelastic waves under the thermomechanical responding of reflecting the photothermal diffusion for the semiconductor constituent. It applies the Maxwells equations while considering the absence of the medium of infinite conducting and displacement current. Moreover, it applies the boundary settings for the Maxwells and mechanical stress, diffusion, chemical reaction, as well as temperature gradient on the interface next to the vacuum. It obtains analytically and displays graphically the ratios of the reflection coefficient as tasks of the angle of incidence, diffusion, initial stress, magnetic field, semiconducting, and photothermal. It compares the CT to the DPL theory. It also compares its findings to the results of the literature. The results of the paper include generalizing the photothermal semiconductor medium and deducing to a special case when neglecting the novel parameters. When neglecting the magnetic field, fractional parameter, and initial stress, the findings of the current study deduce to the findings of Lotfy et al. (2020) as a special case of study

This thesis was submitted for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy and awarded by Brunel University. This thesis presents health care organizations as heterogenic and highly complex in nature with particular normative structures underpinning their formal rational structures. It seeks to explore the evolution of organization structure as applied to a medical corporation in Qatar and to examine the nature of organizational culture and multi professional cohesiveness. In doing so it assesses a range of models on organizational design and change. The three hospitals that compose the corporation are investigated through triangulated interpretative qualitative and quantitative methodologies and the application of the Competing Values Framework. The comprehensive approach of the investigation resulted in a series of conclusions on the evolution of hospital organizational structures, the link between life cycle and structure, forms of organizing health services, characertistics of professional structures, the nature and success of change management strategies, coordination mechanisms, organizational and professional cultures, and health service, organizational and team effectiveness assessment. Findings demonstrated that autonomous and sometimes conflicting professions worked in harmony and cohesiveness as a consequence of shared core values and the human relations focus of health organizations. In examining organizational design it showed that coordination mechanisms were preferred to integration mechanisms with the former playing an important role in conflict resolution and human relations. Finally, findings indicated that when organizational design has shortcomings, the organization substitutes through other mechanisms.Government of the State of Qatar; Ministry of Education, Qatar; Hamad Medical Corporatio

Objective: The present study aimed to evaluate the role of crude extract and phytosterol fraction of Fumaria officinalis in experimentally induced hypertrophic scar in rabbits. Methods: Surgical wounds were performed on day 1 with an 8‑mm biopsy punch four wounds were created on the ventral surface of the rabbit ear (in vivo) down to cartilage. Triamcinolone acetonide (TAC), crude and phytosterol extracts of F. officinalis L. are administered topically to established scars on day 31. The outcome measures included study of histopathology of skin sections, transforming growth factor beta‑1 (TGF‑β1), level, and collagen three alpha1 in skin tissue. Results: In comparison with the induced hypertrophic scar, all treatment produced a significant reduction in scores of TGFβ1, collagen III, inflammation, and measurement of SEI (p ≤ 0.01). The most significant reduction in inflammation and thickness observed in TAC and extract of crude F. officinalis L. Only crude F. officinalis L. decrease fibroblast counts in comparison to induced hypertrophic scar group and other group (p ≤ 0.05). No statistically significant differences were found between the treatment groups in terms of TGF β1and collagen III. Conclusion: Topical crude extract of F. officinalis L. was more effective in the treatment of induced hypertrophic scar as compared with phytosterol of F. officinalis L. and comparable to the effectiveness of topical TAC

The present study was carried out to evaluate the molluscicidal activity of the pesticide Emamectin (5% aqueous solution) and the methanol extract from the wheat bran (MEWB) against B alexandrina and their infection with Schistosoma mansoni was studied. The LC90 and LC50 values for Emamectin were 50.4 and 22.3 ppm, respectively. Infection of snails with S. mansoni under the effect of the tested agents was evaluated via four experimental groups, each of 50 snails For three consecutive days, one group of snails was exposed to 9.08 ppm aqueous Emamectin solution, another group received 100 ppm methanol extract of wheat bran (MEWB), a third group was administered by a combination of 9.08 ppm Emamectin and 100ppm MEWB, The fourth group was control maintained under similar experimental conditions. After three days, all the experimental groups were infected with S. mansonimiracidia and observed till shedding of cercariae. The physiological and histological changes were assessed before and after the infection. The changes in hemocytes of infected snails after administration with LC25 of Emamectin or wheat bran was significantly (20% and 30%, respectively) suppressed compared to 75% for the control snails. However, the snails treated with joint of Emamectin and MEWB were the least infected snails (10%). On the other hand, the biochemical test results showed a remarkable reduction of GOT (p<0.01) GPT (p<0.05) and total protein (0.05) in the heamolyph extracted from the snails treated with an aqueous Emamectin solution. Yet, the levels of GOT were significantly increased in the groups administered with the MEWB alone (p<0.01) or in combination with the Emamectin (p<0.001). As for the total protein levels, there were slightly declining (p<0.05) in the group exposed to the aqueous Emamectin and to the contrary, theses levels were significantly increased (P<0.05) in the snails of the two other experimental groups when compared to the controls. Moreover, the haemocytes cells showed a differentiation which varied in number when detected under the microscope. Administration of the aqueous Emamectin solution resulted in a significant increase (p<0.05) of the amaebocytes and a considerable decrease (p<0.05) in the number of granulocytes and hyalinocytes compared to the control snails. On the contrary, a remarkable surge (P<0.05) of granulocytes and decrease of the amaebocytes was detected in the haemolyph of snails treated with MEWB
