Calculation and experimental verification of m drop in tsia electrodes of chlor-alkali cells
A computer program to analyss the current distribution in a chlor-alkali cell using Titanium Substrate
Insoluble Anode (TSIA) has baen developed. The program takes into account the polarisation resistance
characteristics of anode and camode and the electrolyte resistance, in a d d i i to anode nodal resistance.
The results are compared with the experimental data
Simulation of partial discharge propagation in power network
Locating partial discharge (PD) using single-pulse analysis is considered in this research. The studied network is a generator connected to a transformer through the busbar. Since the stator winding of a generator consists of a finite number of wound coils and finite length busbar, an analysis based on a simple ladder transmission-line model with a finite number of sections has been carried out. A simulation study using the SIMULINK package on the model produces network frequency responses under varied line parameters, and a varied number of sections and termination conditions. The investigation shows that the results of simultaneous PD measurements at different locations can be reproduced satisfactorily using the network model in terms of predicting its resonant frequencies and the time-domain envelope profile of the PD. The proposed method enables one to discriminate PD pulses originating from different locations of the generator winding, as it is observed that the PD magnitude attenuates during propagation
Computer program for mercury penetration porosimeter-data analysis
CECRl has a Micromeritics mercury penetration porosimeter for
characterisation of porous electrodes. For quick evaluation of the
experimental data on porous electrodes, computer programme has
been written and tested for reported results. Good agreement an
pore size diibutian, surface area, and particle size distribution
has been observed. The used numerical results and computer

Instrument for measurement of the droptime/balance time of dme
Droptime measurement is one of the useful techniques to evaluate the interfacial tension data in adsorption
studies at the mercury/solution interfacee. A simple electronic circuit to display the droptime
digitally is described. The operation of the unit is tested with 546 CRO delaytime triggering and ia
found to work coneistsntly in the conventionel ac bridge set up
Computer program for nonlinear least square analysis of impedance and admittance data
A computer program to estimate the parameter value from the complex impedance data of the equivalent
circuit is reported. Non-linear complex least squares fitting is made using a laboratory microcomputer
(with real values). Different values are used as the initial guess in the iterative calculation of complex
least-square method which fits both real and imaginary components of the actual impedance. The
program is tested for simple RC circuits which are generally used to model the electrochemical system
by introducing random experimental errors and it is found to converge within a few number of iteration
Computer program for thermodynamic analysis of electrocapillary data
Computer program for analysis of experimental interfacial tension to evaluate excess charge density,
relative surface excess of the organic sorbate and differential capacitance are briefed. Orthogonal moving
polynomial fitting, least square method of smoothing the experimental data and the statistical evaluation
of method of fitting are reported. The developed program is tested for the reported results
Contour potential mapping
A computer aided mapping for electrochemical engineering analysis has been developed using a microcomputer
system. Softwares for linear interpolation, sorting, serialising and plotting have been developed
and reported with flow charts, program listing and plotted result

gas sensors under varying climatic conditions, a laboratory controller to set the
desired humidity and temperature is fabricated. With this Windows™ based IBM PC
controller, the temperature and humidity within the test chamber can be
controlled either manually or automatically. The data over time can be
visualized as a graph in one window and as the digital data in another window. It
could be stored, plotted and later retrieved for future analysis, and it is multitasking
for GPIB instrument interfacing. Under the programmable mode, cyclic testing
could be done for the programmed time. With the modern communication facility,
a pager can be activated for a desired set of conditions.</span
Multipurpose microprocessor based frequency counter
For real time computer based studies in coulometry, mercury drop time measurement, thickness measurement in plating, speed
