Magnetic Solid Phase Extraction for Determination of Dyes in Food and Water Samples

    Get PDF
Recently, magnetic solid-phase extraction (MSPE) is an important technology due to its use in analytical chemistry, biotechnology, and medicinal fields. MSPE shows rapid isolation of target analyte from large volume samples, the huge surface area of magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs), and simplicity in application due to using an external magnetic field instead of using packing column, centrifuge and filter papers. The aim of this review is to evaluate the extraction and determination of dyes in food and water samples by using the MSPE technique

Fourth Derivative and Compensated Area under the Curve Spectrophotometric Methods Used for Analysis Meloxicam in the Local Market Tablet

    Get PDF
Two Rapid, direct, ecological friendly and economical spectrophotometric methods were used for estimation of meloxicam in the market Tablet dosage form. The First method is based on the use the fourth order derivative spectrum (D4) and the second method is depend-ed on the ratio of the area under the curve for the two peaks in the drug (Compensated area under the curve). The linear calibration graphs of the two methods were measured in the con-centration range (5-35)mg/l and the average of recoveries for local market Tablet (AWA)® were 99.8% for D4 method and 100.2% for CAUC method which indicating a good accuracy and precision for these methods. In this study, the results obtained by these suggested meth-ods have been successfully statistically compared by t-test and Mann-Whitney test showed a good agreement

Spectrophotometric Determination of Doxycycline Hyclate in Pure and Capsule using Diazotization Reaction

    No full text
A sensitive spectrophotometric method has been developed for the determination of Doxycycline hyclate (DCH) as pure and  capsule forms. This method is based on diazotization of primary amine group of benzocaine with sodium nitrite in hydrochloric acid medium; the formed diazonium salt is then reacted with DCH in sodium hydroxide medium, to form yellow – orange Azo dye. Beer's law is obeyed in the concentration rang 16-34mg. ml-1 at 480 nm with detection limit LOD and molar absorptivity Є were found to be 0.418 mg.ml-1 and 2.214× 10+4 L.mol-1.cm-1, respectively

Magnetic solid-phase extraction of Fast Green dye based on magnetic nanoparticles (GO/Co3O4/Fe3O4) prepared by photo-irradiation method

    No full text
The magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) of (GO/Co3O4/Fe3O4) were synthesized, characterized, and then utilized to prepare magnetic solid-phase extraction (MSPE), introducing a new method for the determination of Fast Green dye coupled with UV–visible spectrophotometry. The results demonstrated that Fast Green dye was adsorbed on GO/Co3O4/Fe3O4 MNPs and was released using 1 mL of 0.01 N NaOH. Under optimal conditions, the linear range was 0.5–6 mg/L and the limit of detection (LOD) was 0.2648. The high values of the preconcentration factor (25) and enhancement factor (10.5789) indicate that the MSPE process has concentrated the Fast Green dye by 25 times and made it 10.5789 times more sensitive. This highlights the successful extraction and concentration of Fast Green dye into a small volume of 1 mL of 0.01 N NaOH through the MSPE process. Furthermore, the GO/Co3O4/Fe3O4 MNPs sorbent exhibited reusability for up to five cycles. The application of greenness assessment tools (AES, GAPI, and AGREE) confirmed that MSPE can be considered a green chemistry method

This paper involves synthesis some new imidazol derivatives were synthesized reaction of p-nitro Aniline with 3-chloro 2,4-pentadione with KSCN to give [1-(4-Nitro Phenyl)-2-Mercapto-4-methyl-1H-imidazol-5-yl)]-ethanone(1). Which reaction with different aromatic aldehydes according to claisen. Schmidt condensation to get a chalcones were reacted with hydrazine Hydrate to obtained the pyrazol derivatives and (4a-c) was synthesized by the treatment of pyrazol derivatives with benzoyl chloride in TEA. The chalcones were cyclized with the hydroxyl amine hydro chloride to give an iso oxazole derivatives which condensed with furan-2-aldehyde to obtain compounds(6a-c). These compounds  were characterized using FTIR and  1H-NMR. Anti microbial study in  vitro screened against several bacterial by cup plate agar diffusion method and also very good antibacterial activity  was observe

A new, simple, and sensitive FIA-spectrophotometric method has been developed for evaluating pure amoxicillin and pharmaceutical formulations. The FIA method involves the reaction of dapsone with sodium nitrite and hydrochloric acid. Subsequently, the diazotized dapsone is coupled with amoxicillin in an alkaline medium, resulting in a stable orange dye with a maximum wavelength of 440 nm. The developed method was validated according to the ICH guidelines and found to have a concentration range of 1–150 µg/mL, a correlation coefficient of 0.9994, a molar extinction coefficient of 0.273 × 104 L/mol.cm, and a detection limit of 0.074 µg/mL. The FIA method was then evaluated using AES, GAPI, and AGREES analytical greenness assessment tools. The FIA method uses dapsone as an eco-friendly reagent, in addition to the FIA method's advantages of reduced sample and reagent usage, reduced waste generation, and cheaper equipment. So, it has been proposed as an excellent eco-friendly method for the determination of AMX in pharmaceutical formulations
