Evaluación y análisis de costos de certificación de buenas prácticas agrícolas (BPA) en manzanos

51 p.El objetivo de esta tesis es analizar la relación entre los costos de certificación de buenas prácticas agrícolas (BPA) y variables socioeconómicas y productivas para una muestra de productores de manzanas de la VI y VII región de Chile. La muestra involucró a 115 productores de manzanas de ambas regiones. Los datos de interés para este estudio fueron sometidos a dos regresiones lineales múltiples. La variable dependiente considerada fue al logaritmo natural de los costos totales de BPA y como variables independientes se consideraron los años de experiencia en el rubro del productor, años del cuartel en producción, el logaritmo natural de la producción total y el número de certificaciones para la regresión lineal 1, mientras que en la regresión lineal 2 sólo se reemplazó la variable explicativa del número de certificaciones por la cantidad de productores certificados de forma individual. Los resultados obtenidos por el análisis estadístico establecieron que existe una relación lineal positiva y estadísticamente significativa entre los costos totales BPA y la producción total, así como con el número de certificaciones que posee cada productor, así también se concluyó que hay una relación positiva entre los costos totales de BPA y las certificaciones individuales declaradas por los productores. Por otra parte se comprobó que existe una relación lineal negativa estadísticamente significativa entre los costos totales de BPA y la edad promedio del cuartel en producción concluyéndose que a menor edad del cuartel mayores son los costos totales de BPA en los que se debe incurrir, y por consecuencia se puede establecer que huertos más antiguos debiesen presentar menores costos totales de BPA. Finalmente cabe destacar que no se demostró relación lineal entre los costos totales de BPA y los años de experiencia en el rubro que poseen los productores, ya que los resultados obtenidos para estas variables mediante la regresión lineal múltiple resultaron ser estadísticamente no significativos. Palabras claves: BPA, Regresión lineal múltiple, significancia estadística./ABSTRACT:The objective of this thesis is analyzing the relationship between certification cost of good agronomic practices (GAP) and socioeconomics variables and productive for a sample of apple growers from the VI and VII Chilean regions. The sample was involves to 115 apple growers from both regions. The interest data was submitted to two multiple linear regressions. The dependent variable considered was the natural logarithm of GAP total costs and as independent variable it was taken the years of field experience of the grower, the age of the plants, the total production natural logarithm and the number of certifications used in the first lineal regression, while in the second lineal regression it was replaced only the number of certifications variable by the amount of single producers certified as explanatory variable. The results obtained by the statistics analysis found that there is a positive lineal and statistically significant relation between the GAP total costs and the total production, as well as the total certification number that have each grower, as well it was concluded that there is a positive relation between the total GAP costs and the individual certifications declared by the growers. On the other hand it was tested that there is a negative lineal relation statistically significant between GAP total costs and the average age of the plants concluding that to a younger age field there is a higher total cost in GAP and consequently it may state that older fields should be less expensive GAP total costs. Finally include that it could not be demonstrate a lineal relation between GAP total costs and the years of field experience that have the growers, because the obtained results to this variables by multiple lineal regression where not statistically significant.
