A cross sectional study was conducted in March 1996 to assess mothers' level of satisfaction experienced during their most recent puerperium and the factors influencing it. A total of 211 mothers who attended the Government Health Clinics in Hulu Langat was chosen for this study. The results showed that 30.3% of respondents experienced high satisfaction of their most recent puerperal experience. However,32.3% of the respondents reported having some problems during this period. The most .common problem faced by respondents with problems during puerperium were breast engorgements (35% of all reported problems among mothers) and 67.7% of their babies 67.7% had jaundice. In addition, about 11% of respondents reported being stressed during this period. The results also showed that compared to only 38.2% working respondents among those with low level of satisfaction, 50.8% of respondents with high level of satisfaction were working. High level of satisfaction was reported by respondents who were Malays and l11dians, primiparous, married 5 years, having higher education and having total family income of > RM 2000. However, the association between these factors and level of satisfaction were not statistically significant except for respondents' ethnicity. The results of this study also showed that there was a statistically significant association between level of satisfaction and social support. This study also showed that among working respondents, 66.7% felt that their maternity leaves should be longer and this was repo11ed more by respondents who were working in public sectors compared to those in private sectors. In conclusion, only 30.3% of respondents reported high level of satisfaction with their most recent puerperium. SUppO11S from closed relatives and spouse should be given to mothers to improve their level of satisfaction with their puerperal experience

One of the most serious discussions on the contemporary urban travel in Malaysia is that of the design facilities that have failed to meet the demand of women travelers. This has led to a higher level of concern for a much safer travelling environment for many women travelers within the Kuala Lumpur conurbation. The main aim of this research is to determine the factors of travel safety among women commuter. This empirical research has used the structural fear dimension model as the underpinning theory. A quantitative and personal administered approach through quota sampling was used to conduct the study in Kuala Lumpur urban area. A sample of 312 respondents were selected throughout the survey. The results indicates that only bus service, infrastructure had significantly affect the travel safety of women travelers but when comes to moderating variable effects, only the combination of bus service and infrastructure affect the travel safety of a women travelers

Equipment Performance Due to Voltage Sags – Test Results for Contactor and Induction Motor

This paper presents experimental test results of contactor and induction motor performances when they were supplied by voltage sags. A Programmable source is used to generate various voltage sag characteristics. A small of contactor and induction motor were used for this purpose. Test results show that magnitude and duration are very important aspects that determine performance of the equipments. Influence of other characteristics such as point on wave and repetitive of voltage sag are discussed. Difference of point on wave of sag initiation will cause contactor performance is different for tripping. The occurrence of the second sag after the first one may affect the contactor performance. The contactor performance becomes sensitive when it is supplied by repetitive voltage sags. Voltage sag cause transient current drawn by the motor is too high and it occurs at recovery voltage instant and the value depending on magnitude of the sags. The current peak is not significant influenced by sag duration. The current peak in the second sag is similar to first sag. Therefore presence repetitive of voltage sags on induction motor is not influence on the current peaks
