H∞ Estimation Approach to Active Noise Control: Theory, Algorithm and Real-Time Implementation

This paper presents an H∞ estimation approach to active control of acoustic noise inside an enclosure. It is shown how H∞ filter theory and algorithm can be effectively applied to active noise control to provide important robustness property. Real-time implementation of the algorithm is performed on Digital Signal Processor. Experimental comparison to conventional FxLMS algorithm for active noise control is presented for both single channel and multichannel cases. While providing some new results, this paper also serves as a brief review on H∞ filter theory and on active noise control

Model Predictive Control for Linear Complementarity and Extended Linear Complementarity Systems

In this paper, we propose model predictive control method for linear complementarity and extended linear complementarity systems by formulating optimization along prediction horizon as mixed integer quadratic program. Such systems contain interaction between continuous dynamics and discrete event systems, and therefore, can be categorized as hybrid systems. As linear complementarity and extended linear complementarity systems finds applications in different research areas, such as impact mechanical systems, traffic control and process control, this work will contribute to the development of control design method for those areas as well, as shown by three given examples

Strategy Implementation: the Efect of Decentralization, Participation in Budget Setting, and Managers' Attitude on Performance

The performance of a business unit, to a large extent, is determined by the quality of its strategy and how well the strategy is implemented. This study examines the effect ofstrategy implementation on performance. In particular, it investigates the extent to which the fit between two crucial strategic supporting systems, namely decentralization andbudget system, and managers' attitude with the strategy of SBU on performance. It is argued that the more consistent the level of decentralization, degree of participation in thebudget system and managers' attitude with the SBU strategies, the higher the performance will be, and vice versa. Unlike most prior studies, the hypothesis was tested by adopting the system of fit approach. Responses from 75 divisional managers of 75 diversified companies are analyzed. The results show that managers pursuing a strategy of differentiation (cost leadership) report high performance when they worked in highly (less) decentralized structures, are given more (less) opportunity to participate in the budget process, and had strongly positive attitude toward their jobs and their firms. These findings are consistent with the basic premise of strategy implementation that different strategies should be supported with different configuration of organizational structure and process to achieve optimal results

Perancangan Ulang Jembatan Bengawan Solo Lama Cepu – Blora

Central Java and East Java is separated by the Bengawan Solo River. To support the activities of transportation which across Central Java and East Java, was Bengawan Solo Bridge built on the road Cepu -Padangan on Blora KM SMG 160.09. Bengawan Solo Bridge consists of two bridges, Bengawan Solo Baru Bridge and Bengawan Solo Lama Bridge. Since 1994, only Bengawan Solo Baru Bridge which operated, while Bengawan Solo Lama Bridge had no function anymore because the condition is not feasible. Along with the growth and movement patterns of traffic, it was found that in certain conditions, especially during peak hours, often seen queues of vehicles will cross the Bengawan Solo Baru Bridge. This is based on the value of Degree of Saturation (DS) Bengawan Solo Baru Bridge is 0.78 (> 0.75), which indicates the traffic condition is already unstable. Therefore, operating Bengawan Solo Lama Bridge again can be a solution to the congestion and potential overload that occurs. However, to realize that, Bengawan Solo Lama Bridge needs to be redesigned considering exsisting condition is not feasible and the age of the bridge is already very old. As the technical and aesthetic considerations, Bengawan Solo Lama Bridge is designed by considering the condition of Bengawan Solo Baru bridge so that the Bengawan Solo Lama Bridge is planned use steel structures for the upper structure and reinforced concrete structures for bottom structure. After that, Bengawan Solo Lama Bridge is designed to serve traffic from Cepu to Padangan with the type of road 2/1 UD (two-lane one-way) which has a width of 6 meters and width of sidewalks 2 x 1 meter. The planning of traffic aspects use a life design for 25 years with the traffic growth by 2,472% per year. Implementation of Construction is at a cost of 33.4 billion. The scope of the planned bridge elements in this thesis includes work for the overall structure bridge and approach bridge

The research aims are to know (1) the effect of learning approach toward mathematics echievement, (2) the effect of reasoning level student\u27s toward mathematics echievement, and (3) intraction between learning approach and reasoning level student\u27s toward mathematics echievement. The research method that be used is experiment research. Collecting data is conducted by reasoning test and echievement mathematics test. The research is experimented at Senior High School number 1 Kayuagung. Population of research is all student at tenth class grade that involve 7 class. The sample are class X.A that involve 31 student as experiment class and X.B that involve 31 student as control class. The research show that the Anova two way for approach learning is obtained F hitung = 15,982 and Ftabel=4,02, so F hitung > F tabel, or the mathematics echievement student that be following at constructivism approach is better than at conventional approach. The anova two way for level reasoning student\u27s is obtained F hitung = 39,489 and Ftabel=4,02, so Fhitung> F tabel, or The students that have high level reasoning is better than the students that have low level reasoning. The analysis of two way Anova for interaction between the approach learning and the level reasoning student\u27s is obtained F hitung = 0,265 and Ftabel=4,02, so F hitung < Ftabel, or there isn\u27t interaction between learning approach and the level reasoning student\u27s to reach mathematics echievement

2. Terdapat korelasi di antara karakter komponen hasil

Filtered-X Radial Basis Function Neural Networks for Active Noise Control

This paper presents active control of acoustic noise using radial basis function (RBF) networks and its digital signal processor (DSP) real-time implementation. The neural control system consists of two stages: first, identification (modeling) of secondary path of the active noise control using RBF networks and its learning algorithm, and secondly neural control of primary path based on neural model obtained in the first stage. A tapped delay line is introduced in front of controller neural, and another tapped delay line is inserted between controller neural networks and model neural networks. A new algorithm referred to as Filtered X-RBF is proposed to account for secondary path effects of the control system arising in active noise control. The resulting algorithm turns out to be the filtered-X version of the standard RBF learning algorithm. We address centralized and decentralized controller configurations and their DSP implementation is carried out. Effectiveness of the neural controller is demonstrated by applying the algorithm to active noise control within a 3 dimension enclosure to generate quiet zones around error microphones. Results of the real-time experiments show that 10-23 dB noise attenuation is produced with moderate transient response
