    UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN MEMBACA PEMAHAMAN SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR KELAS TINGGI DENGAN METODE PQ4R (PREVIEW, QUESTION, READ, REFLECT, RECITE, REVIEW)

    Keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa di SDN 194 SK masih sangat kurang. Apalagi ketika siswa diberikan sebuah teks cerita terkadang siswa malas untuk membaca. Terlihat juga ketika peneliti melakukan penelitian, masih banyak siswa yang kurang paham mengenai membaca pemahaman. Ketika siswa diminta untuk mencari informasi penting dalam teks bacaan, siswa masih terlihat kebingungan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada peningkatan keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa setelah menggunakan metode PQ4R. Selain itu juga untuk meningkatkan kualitas proses pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia, khususnya keterampilan membaca pemahaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan terhadap keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa dengan menggunakan metode PQ4R. Dapat terlihat dari hasil persentase sebelum melakukan penelitian pada saat pra siklus sampai siklus I hasilnya cukup meningkat, sedangkan setelah melaksanakan siklus II semakin meningkat. Keberhasilan proses dapat dilihat dari keaktifan dan antusias siswa yang meningkat saat mengikuti pembelajaran, siswa sudah berani aktif dalam bertanya dan menyampaikan pendapat maupun berperan aktif dalam kegiatan di kelas.;--- The students' reading comprehension skills at SDN 194 SK are still lacking. Especially when students are given a story text sometimes students are lazy to read. It was also seen when researchers conducted research, there were still many students who did not understand about reading comprehension. When students are asked to search for important information in the reading text, students still look confused. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was an increase in students' reading comprehension skills after using the PQ4R method. In addition to improving the quality of the Indonesian language learning process, especially reading comprehension skills. The results showed an increase in students' reading comprehension skills using the PQ4R method. It can be seen from the results of the percentage before conducting research during the pre cycle to the first cycle the results are quite increasing, while after carrying out the second cycle increasing. The success of the process can be seen from the activeness and enthusiasm of students who are increasing when participating in learning, students have dared to be active in asking questions and expressing opinions or actively participating in classroom activities
