// ABSTRACT: We conducted a literature search to identify instruments and studies related to risk perception and self-care measures for COVID-19. There are no precedents for an instrument that measures the risk perception of COVID-19 in Chile. This research aims to validate by experts judgment an instrument that measures risk perception and adherence to self-care recommendations. We are based on the methodology of the Lawshe to calculate the Content Validity Ratio (RVC麓) modified by Trist谩n. Thirty-four items were evaluated, 18 for risk perception and 16 for self-care measures. We used the criteria of relevance, clarity and representativeness. Five experts participated in this study, the experts rated the complete test with RVC 'of 0.91. The RVC' of the domain of risk perception was 0.82 and 1.0 for the self-care domain. Three items were removed. Having an instrument of this type will allow to determine the risk perception and adherence to self-care measures against COVID-19 in the Chilean population. Therefore, helping in public policy decision making. This instrument should be applied in a subset of the Chilean population to continue with the validation process
