    The Effect of Soil Tillage System and Weeding TIME on the Growth of Weed and Yield of Soybean (Glycine Max (L.) Merril)

    The growth and yield of soybeans can decrease due to competition from weeds. Various efforts have been made to control the growth of weeds such as land preparation and weeding periods. An experiment to study the effect of soil tillage systems and weeding time on the growth of weeds and soybean crop yield (Glycine max (L.) Merril) has been done in Wringinsongo Village, Tumpang Sub-District, Malang Regency from February to May 2017. The split-plot design with three replicates was used with the soil tillage system as the main plot consisting of three levels, T0: no tillage, T1: minimum tillage, and T2: conventional tillage, and weeding time as the sub plot consisting of 4 levels, P0: no weeding, P1: weeding 1 time, P2: weeding two times and P3: weeding three times. The results showed that the dominant weed species before treatment were Amaranthus spinosus (Spiny amaranth), Cynodon dactylon (Bermuda grass), Cyperus rotundus (Purple nutsedge), Ageratum conyzoides (Billygoat weed), and Portulaca oleracea (Common purslane). After treatment, the dominant weed species were Cyperus rotundus (Purple nutsedge), Amaranthus spinosus (Spiny amaranth), Ageratum conyzoides (Billygoat weed), Physalis Peruviana (Cape gooseberry), and Eclipta alba (False daisy). There was no significant difference of the dry weight of weeds in conventional tillage followed by weeding 3 times at 15, 30 and 45 days after planting, and minimum tillage and no tillage. For the yield of soybeans, conventional tillage followed by weeding 3 times at 15, 30 and 45 days after planting were not significant with that of minimum tillage. The yield of soybeans was lower than that of with no tillage and no weeding

    Perairan Selat Lampa di Kepulauan Natuna merupakan perairan yang cukup strategis sebagai alur lalu lintas pelayaran utama bagi warga Natuna dan bagi kapal-kapal asing. Dengan peran utama tersebut, kondisi hidro-oseanografi seperti arus dan pasang surut sangat dipertimbangkan dalam pengembangan dan perencanaan suatu wilayah pesisir dan laut. Data arus dan pasang surut sangat dibutuhkan dalam pengembangan daerah pelabuhan Selat Lampa sehingga dapat memberikan hasil yang maksimal. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui karakteristik pola arus di Perairan Selat Lampa, Kabupaten Natuna. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua tahap yaitu pengambilan data lapangan dan tahap pemodelan numerik dengan menggunakan software MIKE 21 Flow Model Flexibel Mesh untuk pola arus. Pengambilan data lapangan dilakukan pada tanggal 20 Mei–4 Juni 2014 yang terdiri dari pengukuran arus selama 5 hari menggunakan ADCP, dan pengamatan pasang surut yang dilakukan selama 15 hari menggunakan palem pasut. Tahap pemodelan hidrodinamika dilakukan selama bulan Juli-Oktober dengan menggunakan input data batimetri dari DISHIDROS dan data pasang surut. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Sedangkan penentuan lokasi pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling method. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data, karakteristik arus di Perairan Selat Lampa didominasi oleh arus pasang surut dengan dengan arah arus yang cenderung bolak Balik. Tipe pasang surut di Perairan Selat Lampa adalah pasang surut campuran condong ke harian tunggal. Hasil model hidrodinamika arus menunjukkan dominan menuju ke arah barat laut pada saat fase surut terendah, dan arus dominan menuju ke arah tenggara pada fase pasang tertinggi.     UED-SPis a part of the Program Pengembangan Desa (PPD) in Riau Province aims to prevent and reduce poverty in village. The purpose of this research is to analyze the performance of social and financial UED-SP BUMDes Ngaso Mandiri Ngaso Village Ujung Batu district Rokan Hulu Regency. Analyzed using reachment and PEARLS analysis to assess financial performance 2008-2012. The results of this research showing the social performance of the range 1) fluctuated productivity staff, 2) fluctuated custumers number, 3) increasing the participation of women custumers , 4) distribution of loans in employment dominated by trade sector and 5) increased public awareness to save . Financial performance show rates of Protection isn't ideal,rates of Effective Financial Structure at a rates of current assets, debt ratio , capital ratio indicates in ideal conditions , while the rates of savings ratio and loans outstanding indicates conditions are not ideal . Rates of Asset Quality in calculation of NPL are in ideal conditions and the rates of non productive assets in ideal conditions. Rates of Return and Costs in calculation of return ratio loans are in ideal conditions, the rates of operating expenses not in ideal conditions and the rates of net income to be in ideal conditions. Rates of Liquidity at a ratio of current assets not produce are not ideal.Signs of Growth Ratio in the calculation of asset growth, deposits and custumers institution are in ideal condition while capital growth and loans outstanding growth is not ideal

    The purpose of this study is to analyse household food security over village food resilience Programme Participants at Sei Geringging Village in Left Kampar District of Kampar Regency. Sampling using purposive sampling method (75 people) with 30 people respondents. The result shows that the availability of food at Sei Geringging Village in Left Kampar District Kampar Regency in 2013 as village food resilience disable to provide food for villager because from eight kinds of comestible, threre are just side dish, vegetables and fruits available from the village. Total distribution of respondent income is IDR 66.339.750,00 which are 75,77% main income and 24,33% other income. The average of respondents expends is IDR 749.028,00 in which 78,88% for food expenditure and 21,12% for non food expenditure. Aspect of food consumption indicate that people have a good knowledge for food and nutrition at score of 3,70 (knowing category), in practicing prefer to fill the food needs without taking seriously for nutrients and energy standards that must be filled every day instead. That is illustrated by the number of calorie 1.197,57 Kkal which is far below from Food and Nutrients National Widya Karya Standard (2.000 Kkal and at 42,48% lower than rular calorie consumption in Riau Province

    Penambahan jumlah udara pada proses pembakaran diyakini akan dapat meningkatkan performance dari suatu mesin. Salah satunya dengan mengurangi jumlah sekat pada filter udara. Udara yang masuk ke ruang bakar terlebih dahulu akan di saring melalui filter udara agar selalu terjaga kebersihannya. Hal ini tentu saja merupakan suatu hambatan yang menghalangi udara yang akan masuk kedalam ruang bakar. Dengan pengurangan sekat pada filter udara tersebut maka hambatan yang ada akan semakin berkurang dan udara yang ada untuk proses pembakaran akan terpenuhi sehingga akan terjadi pembakaran yang sempurna. Dengan demikian penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh jumlah sekat filter udara sebagai upaya meningkatkan performance mesin diesel. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen yang menguji jumlah 153 sekat, 144 sekat dan 135 sekat. Dari setiap jumlah sekat dilakukan pengujian menggunakan variasi putaran mesin. Pada jumlah sekat filter udara 153 sekat konsumsi bahan bakar lebih hemat,dan efisiensi juga lebih tinggi. Pada jumlah sekat filter udara 144 sekat, konsumsi bahan bakar,putaran output mesin dan daya engine akan meningkat pula. Pada jumlah sekat filter udara 135 sekat, konsumsi bahan bakar akan menjadi lebih boros tetapi putaran output dan daya engine juga meningkat dengan efisiensi lebih rendah

    Automatic Detection and Tracking of Coronal Mass Ejections. II. Multiscale Filtering of Coronagraph Images

    Studying CMEs in coronagraph data can be challenging due to their diffuse structure and transient nature, and user-specific biases may be introduced through visual inspection of the images. The large amount of data available from the SOHO, STEREO, and future coronagraph missions, also makes manual cataloguing of CMEs tedious, and so a robust method of detection and analysis is required. This has led to the development of automated CME detection and cata- loguing packages such as CACTus, SEEDS and ARTEMIS. Here we present the development of a new CORIMP (coronal image processing) CME detection and tracking technique that overcomes many of the drawbacks of current catalogues. It works by first employing the dynamic CME separation technique outlined in a companion paper, and then characterising CME structure via a multiscale edge-detection algorithm. The detections are chained through time to determine the CME kinematics and morphological changes as it propagates across the plane-of-sky. The effectiveness of the method is demonstrated by its application to a selection of SOHO/LASCO and STEREO/SECCHI images, as well as to synthetic coronagraph images created from a model corona with a variety of CMEs. The algorithms described in this article are being applied to the whole LASCO and SECCHI datasets, and a catalogue of results will soon be available to the public.Comment: 18 pages, 10 figure
