Keywords : Parent involvement, learning English The thesis tried to describe the parent’s involvement in guiding the students’ English learning achievement, which focuses on main issue which explains how do the parents guide their children in learning English at home and how do the children behave in responding their parents guidance. The research design in this research was qualitative research design in the form of Case Study. The data and data source were events, informant, and document. In collecting data, the researcher used observation, questionnaire, interview, and documentation. The data were analyzed by collecting the data, reducing the data, presenting the data, and drawing conclusion. The researcher used triangulation, especially data triangulation to show the trustworthiness of the data. The result of the research showed that parents’ support in students’ English learning process at home is well. Children’s homework is considered to be important by each parent and they assist their children to do homework at home with various method. Although most the parents can not help the children to learn English directly, but they always facilitate the children. It is such as the parents engage English course and they will buy English dictionary for their children. Moreover, Children’s behavior in responding parent’s guidance is also well. Most of the children give positive response and they always do what the parent command. Thus, it may be concluded that by staying involved with their children’s education, parents can guide, supervise and give motivation for the children to reach the academic achievement

Penerapan Team Teaching Untuk Mengoptimalkan Pembelajaran Di Kelas I Sekolah Dasar Muhammadiyah Plus Malangjiwan

Eni Retno Kusrini / A510150113. APPLICATION OF TEAM TEACHING TO OPTIMIZE LEARNING IN CLASS I OF MUHAMMADIYAH PLUS MALANGJIWAN. Essay. This study aims to describe: (1) the application of team teaching to optimize learning, (2) obstacles, (3) solutions. This type of research is qualitative with a case study research design. Data collection techniques using observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The data validity technique is done by triangulation of techniques and sources. The results showed that: (1) the implementation of team teaching has three stages namely, the planning stage includes the preparation of lesson plans, the determination of methods, learning media together and the division of teacher's tasks into two, namely the core teacher and the accompanying teacher. The implementation phase includes the core teacher and the accompanying teacher both have the role of teaching in the same class, the same time with focus on different subjects. Learning methods and media adapt the situation and conditions of students in the field. There are two evaluation stages namely students through summative and formative tests as well as teacher evaluation through student score results, (2) barriers to the implementation of team teaching, namely teachers lack understanding of some teaching material and differences in character between teachers, (3) The solution that can be applied is deepening material with a lot of reading and exchanging information with other teachers, and communication
