With the continuous variation and increasing infectivity of novel coronavirus, people are forced to stay at home for a long time, and their lives and lives are constantly threatened by the virus. In order to provide scientific basis for evaluating and optimizing the epidemic prevention and control capability of high-rise residential buildings under public health emergencies, the evaluation index system of emergency adaptive performance of high-rise residential buildings is constructed. First of all, this paper uses Delphi method to consult experts in the form of questionnaire survey, and determines the framework of evaluation index system through two rounds of index screening process. Then use the analytic hierarchy process to determine the weight value of the evaluation index system, and finally check the consistency of the index weight. As a result, the emergency adaptation performance evaluation system of high-rise residential buildings under public health emergencies is obtained

In order to deal with public health emergencies, five residential areas in the main urban area of Handan were selected for on-the-spot measurement and questionnaire survey, and the survey data were sorted out and sequenced regression analysis. it is summarized that the main problems of indoor space in emergency are poor spatial independence, unreasonable layout, low flexibility and poor natural lighting effect. On the basis of this, the corresponding optimization strategy is put forward in order to help to update and improve the emergency design of interior space in multi-storey residential buildings

    Get PDF
In order to study the bearing capacity of high-performance concrete-filled high-strength steel tube (HCHST) composite stub columns subjected to eccentrical load, 22 HCHST composite stub columns, 4 concrete-filled steel tube (CFST) composite stub columns and 8 high-performance concrete-filled steel tube (HCST) composite stub columns were designed with the cubic compressive strength of concrete (fcu), the yield strength of steel tube (fy), the thickness of tube wall (t), the eccentricity (e) and slenderness ratio (λ) as the main parameters. Considering the nonlinear constitutive model of concrete and simplified constitutive model of steel, the finite element (FE) model of HCHST composite stub columns was established by ABAQUS software. By comparison with the existing test results, the rationality of the constitutive model and boundary conditions was verified. The variation of ultimate bearing capacity and the typical failure modes of HCHST composite stub columns under different parameters was analyzed. The results show that the specimens exhibit obvious bulge outward at the end of the steel tube and shear failure at the end of concrete. High-performance concrete (HPC) can significantly improve the ultimate eccentrical compression bearing capacity of composite columns, and high-strength steel tubes have better restraint effect on HPC. With the increasing of t, the ultimate eccentrical compression bearing capacity and the load-holding capacity of HCHST columns increases gradually, while the ultimate eccentrical compression bearing capacity decreases gradually with the increasing of λ and e. By introducing the reduction coefficient of eccentricity (φ1) and the reduction coefficient of slenderness ratio (φ2), the calculation formula of the eccentric bearing capacity of HCHST columns is proposed by statistical regression, which can lay a foundation for the application of HCHST columns in practical engineering

As the quality of life and the spiritual and cultural well-being of the inhabitants progress, the current rural infrastructure has challenges in adequately addressing the physical and psychological requirements of individuals. This work presents a method for evaluating rural habitats by utilizing electroencephalography (EEG) signals and virtual reality (VR) technology to address the existing gap in physiological data evaluation in rural areas. We choose as experimental images the current situation (C1–C5) scenes of five rural main street nodes as well as the comparative transformation scenes (T1–T5). It then assesses the subjects’ subjective cognition and level of relaxation–arousal responses using the α/β value in the EEG data and the three subjective scale indexes of “Interest”, “Comfort”, and “Vitality”. The study’s findings demonstrated the following: 1. All three scores increased in the transformation scenarios, and subjects’ subjective assessments varied significantly across all five sets of scenes. 2. In all α/β values where significant differences existed, every electrode demonstrated a relaxation response in the transformation scenes (T1–T5) compared to the current scenes (C1–C5), whereas the T8 electrode demonstrated the only arousal response. 3. The Pz electrode in the parietal lobe area was found to be the most sensitive to the visual response to the green landscape and the form of the building façade along the street, and the T8 electrode in the right temporal lobe area was the most sensitive to the response to the overall perception of the surrounding environment, according to a comparison of the longitudinal α/β value. More options for rural streetscape design as well as fresh insights and methodologies for assessing the rural human environment in the future are anticipated from this study

Tuning the formation and stability of microcapsules by environmental conditions and chitosan structure

The goal of this work is to tune the formation and stability of the alginate-chitosan (AC) polyelectrolyte complexes (PECs) and microcapsules. Particularly, we explore the role of the conformation of chitosan on its interaction with alginate to understand the mechanism underpinning their interactions at the molecular level. Reducing the charge density by increasing pH will increase the compactness of chitosan, the values of the enthalpy (H) and stoichiometry (N) of binding between chitosan and alginate. Consequently, chitosan has advantage in being adsorbed on alginate beads to form microcapsules, including the binding rate and binding amount. Though the total heat release remain similar in the range of ionic strength, chitosan diffuses much easier into alginate hydrogels when in higher ionic strength. Increasing pH and ionic strength both help AC microcapsules to have higher stability. The results indicate that the formation and stability of AC microcapsules are related to the rigidity and conformations of chitosan molecules. After increasing acetylation degree (DA) of chitosan, the binding rate of chitosan and mechanical strength of AC microcapsules are both reduced. This work demonstrates the versatility and feasibility of tuning the formation and stability of polysaccharide microcapsules by physical factors and chitosan chemical structures. The binding properties of poly-L-lysine and chitosan to alginate have been evaluated quantitatively and compared. Poly-L-lysine bound to alginate hydrogel more rapidly than chitosan as poly-L-lysine has a smaller molar hydrodynamic volume. In addition, poly-L-lysine showed a much higher binding capacity (6.14:1) for alginate hydrogel beads than chitosan (2.71:1), and a little higher binding stoichiometry (0.58) to sodium alginate molecules in solution than chitosan (0.49). An exothermic heat of alginate-poly-L-lysine complexes formation of 2.02 kJ/mol was detected. For alginate-chitosan complexes, the binding enthalpy has been seen to be -3.49 kJ/mol. The stability of the polyelectrolyte complexes was related to their binding enthalpy. The alginate-poly-L-lysine complexes could be disintegrated and rebuilt. By contrast, chitosan was bound with alginate in a steady state. These results provide fundamental insights regarding the structure and property relationships of macromolecules, and will be helpful in designing and selecting appropriate polymers.
