Augmented Reality System to Help Train New Skilled Workers for PCB Inspection

    Get PDF
Printed circuit board (PCB) inspection is one of the major requirements in electronic industry, as in the last decades, a number of innovative methods have been designed and implemented. Due to various reasons, many companies are still using skilled workers instead of fully automated systems for PCB inspection. As the training of new workers is time and recourse consuming, this paper presents an augmented reality based system, which provides an additional aid by presenting discrete information gathered from the experience of skilled workers. Keywords: Printed Circuit Board, Augmented Reality, Computer Vision, Automated Visual Inspection

Image Inpainting Methods Evaluation and Improvement

    Get PDF
With the upgrowing of digital processing of images and film archiving, the need for assisted or unsupervised restoration required the development of a series of methods and techniques. Among them, image inpainting is maybe the most impressive and useful. Based on partial derivative equations or texture synthesis, many other hybrid techniques have been proposed recently. The need for an analytical comparison, beside the visual one, urged us to perform the studies shown in the present paper. Starting with an overview of the domain, an evaluation of the five methods was performed using a common benchmark and measuring the PSNR. Conclusions regarding the performance of the investigated algorithms have been presented, categorizing them in function of the restored image structure. Based on these experiments, we have proposed an adaptation of Oliveira’s and Hadhoud’s algorithms, which are performing well on images with natural defects

The present paper wishes to present objectively, through the medium of analyze, the situation of agricultural production from Caras-Severin County. Like all over the country, in Caras-Severin County it practices a subsistence agriculture, underperforming, for self-consumption. The lack of association and weak technological equipment, the large number of elderly farmers, does not allow the practice of an efficient and competitive agriculture. Even if Caras-Severin County is the third as largest on the country, in terms of agricultural area, this being only 396.915 ha, occupies only 13th place thanks to the relief mostly mountainous. From the data presented in this article it can be seen that the agricultural production of Caras-Severin County has registered an upward trend in the 2010-2013 period, after which its level decreased in the year 2014 due to the decrease of agricultural production animal and vegetable, but it can notice an increase of agricultural services in this year
