Signals of Leptophilic Dark Matter at the ILC
Adopting a model independent approach, we constrain the various effective
interactions of leptophilic DM particle with the visible world from the WMAP
and Planck data. The thermally averaged indirect DM annihilation cross-section
and the DM-electron direct-detection cross-section for such a DM candidate are
observed to be consistent with the respective experimental data.
We study the production of cosmologically allowed leptophilic DM in
association with , at the ILC.
We perform the analysis and compute the 99\% C.L. acceptance contours
in the and plane from the two dimensional differential
distributions of various kinematic observables obtained after employing parton
showering and hadronization to the simulated data. We observe that the dominant
hadronic channel provides the best kinematic reach of 2.62 TeV ( = 25
GeV), which further improves to 3.13 TeV for polarized beams at
TeV and an integrated luminosity of 1 ab.Comment: 17 pages, 10 figures, 5 table
Data-Driven Application Maintenance: Views from the Trenches
In this paper we present our experience during design, development, and pilot
deployments of a data-driven machine learning based application maintenance
solution. We implemented a proof of concept to address a spectrum of
interrelated problems encountered in application maintenance projects including
duplicate incident ticket identification, assignee recommendation, theme
mining, and mapping of incidents to business processes. In the context of IT
services, these problems are frequently encountered, yet there is a gap in
bringing automation and optimization. Despite long-standing research around
mining and analysis of software repositories, such research outputs are not
adopted well in practice due to the constraints these solutions impose on the
users. We discuss need for designing pragmatic solutions with low barriers to
adoption and addressing right level of complexity of problems with respect to
underlying business constraints and nature of data.Comment: Earlier version of paper appearing in proceedings of the 4th

Testing the dynamic origin of Quasi-periodic Oscillations in MAXI J1535-571 and H 1743-322
We investigate spectro-temporal properties for two black hole X-ray binary
sources, MAXI J1535571 and H 1743322, during their hard and
hard-intermediate states. For MAXI J1535571, we analyze Swift/XRT, NuSTAR
and NICER observations, specifically focusing on the occurrence of type-C
Quasi-periodic Oscillations (QPOs). Regarding H 1743322, we analyze
multi-epoch observations of NICER and AstroSat, identifying a type-C QPO with
centroid frequency ranging from 0.1--0.6 Hz. In both sources, we fit the
spectra with a relativistic truncated disk and a power law component. In MAXI
J1535571, we also observe an additional relativistically smeared iron line.
Through temporal and spectral analysis, we estimate the QPO centroid frequency
and spectral parameters, such as the accretion rate and inner disc radii. We
test the origin of type-C QPOs as relativistic precession frequency and dynamic
frequency (i.e. the inverse of the sound crossing time ). The
dependence of QPO frequency on both the accretion rate and inner disc radii
favours the QPO origin as dynamic frequency. We discuss the implications of
these results.Comment: 12 pages, 7 figures, 4 tables, accepted for publication in MNRA
Spectropolarimetric study of 4U 163047 in Steep Power law state with IXPE and NICER
We probe the spectropolarimetric properties of the black-hole binary source
4U 163047 in the steep power law state. We detect a significant polarization
fraction of 7 % at a polarization angle of 21 . The
keV NICER spectrum can be fitted with a combination of a thermal and a
Comptonization component, the latter characterized by a spectral index, 2.1, along with a reflection feature at 7.0 keV. In the keV
band, the degree of polarization of 4U 163047 in the steep power law state
is 4.4 different from the value previously measured in the high soft
state. In the steep power law state, the polarization fraction increases as a
function of energy but exhibits an overall drop in each energy band compared to
that of the high soft state. We propose that the decrease in the polarization
fraction in the steep power law state could be attributed to the presence of a
corona. The observed polarization properties in both states can be explained by
the self-irradiation of the disk around a Kerr black hole, likely influenced by
the frame-dragging effect.Comment: 6 pages, 7 figures, 3 tables, accepted for publication in MNRA
Unveiling the X-ray polarimetric properties of LMC X-3 with IXPE, NICER, and Swift/XRT
The incoming Imaging X-ray Polarimetry Explorer (IXPE) observations of X-ray
binaries provide a new tool to investigate the underlying accretion geometry.
Here we report the first measurements of X-ray polarization of the
extra-galactic black-hole X-ray binary LMC X3. We find a polarization
fraction of 3 % at a polarization angle of in the
keV energy band with statistical significance at the 7 level. This
polarization measurement significantly exceeds the minimum detectable
polarization threshold of 1.2 % for the source, ascertained at a 99 %
confidence level within the keV energy band. The simultaneous
spectro-polarimetric fitting of NICER, Swift/XRT, and IXPE revealed the
presence of a disc with a temperature of 1 keV and a Comptonized component with
a power-law index of 2.4, confirming the soft nature of the source. The
polarization degree increases with energy from 3 % in the keV band
to 8 % in the keV band, while the polarization angle is energy
independent. The observed energy dependence and the sudden jump of polarization
fraction at 5 keV supports the idea of a static slab coronal geometry
for the comptonizing medium of LMC X3. We further observed no change in the
polarization properties with time over the period of the IXPE observations.Comment: 6 pages, 5 figures, 3 tables, submitted to MNRA
Naringin a potent antioxidant used as bioavailibility enhancer for terbinafine hydrochloride
The poor bioavailability of drugs has been identified as the single most important challenge in oral drug delivery. Prominent among the factors responsible for this are the oxidative metabolic activity of the intestinal and hepatic cytochrome P450 enzyme family. Naringin and naringenin which are the major phytochemical component of grapefruit juice, a well-known cytochrome P450 3A4 inhibitor and flavone glycoside, is antioxidant in nature and occurs naturally in the pericarp of citrus fruit, and particularly of grapefruit (Citrus paradisii) where it is the predominant flavonoid found and is responsible for the bitter taste associated with the fruit. CYP3A4 which is a class of CYP – 450 (microsomal enzyme) is responsible for the oxidative metabolic reaction of various substrates which decreases the bioavailability of drug
Formulation and evaluation of extended release spheroids for antidepressant drug by MUPS
The extended release spheroids was Formulated using Ethyl Cellulose, Povidone and Triacetin as a Coating material and evaluated the effect of change in weight build up on drug release profile. Optimization of extended release coating by 19% build up of EC/PVP-K30 of formulation (F4), in which the formulation is formulated by Reservoir system and the drug release depends on coating thickness of EC/PVP-K30. As concentration of coating weight buildup increases. which increases the thickness of coating on the reservoir system hence release retarded and transformed into an extended release system
Solubility enhancement of biperidine HCl by complexation with hydroxypropyl β-cyclodextrin
Oral route is the simplest and easiest way of drug administration, because of the greater stability, lesser bulk, and cheap cost of production, accurate dosage and easy process, solid oral dosage forms have several advantages over other dosage forms. All the poor water soluble drugs after oral administrations are not well absorbed and thus leads to decrease in inherent efficiency of drugs. Therefore, for oral drug delivery system the improvement of drug solubility thereby its oral bio-availability is the most important aspect of drug development process. Biperiden HCl is a potent drug (Maximum daily dose is 16mg/day), having extensive first pass metabolism resulting in poor Bioavailability. The pharmacokinetic profile of this drug showed 33±5 % Bioavailability and 18-24 hours elimination half-life (t1/2). In the present study attempt has been made to prepare and characterize inclusion complex of Biperiden HCl with Hydroxypropyl β-Cyclodextrin. The inclusion complexes prepared by different methods i.e. Physical mixture, Kneading and Solvent evaporation methods. The prepared complexes were characterized using FT-IR. The inclusion complex prepared by Kneading method exhibited greatest enhancing in solubility and faster dissolution (93.98% drug release in 60 min) of Biperiden HCl
