    Korelasi Keterampilan Membaca Pemahaman Teks Deskripsi dengan Keterampilan Menulis Teks Deskripsi Siswa Kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Padang Panjang

    The purpose of this study is three. First, it describes the reading comprehension skills of the VII grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Padang Panjang. Second, describe the writing skills of the description text of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Padang Panjang. Third, describe the correlation of reading comprehension text description with the description writing skills of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Padang Panjang. This type of research is quantitative with descriptive methods. The design used in this study is a corelasinoal design. The population of this research is class VII students of Padang Panjang State Junior High School registered in the 2018/2019 school year, which is 192 students. The sample in this study was determined by proportional random sampling of 25% of the population, that is 48 students. The data of this study were in the form of scores on the reading comprehension test scores of the description text description and the scores on the writing of the description text skills. The data was obtained through two types of tests namely objective tests to measure reading comprehension text skills and performance tests to measure description text writing skills. Based on data analysis and discussion, three research results are obtained as follows. First, reading comprehension text skills of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Padang Panjang are in good qualifications. This can be seen from the acquisition of an average of 81.35. Second, the description writing skills of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Padang Panjang are in good qualifications. This can be seen from the acquisition of an average of 77.15. Third, there is a significant relationship between reading comprehension text description skills and description writing skills for grade VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Padang Panjang. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that there is a correlation between reading comprehension and description text writing skills with the description text of Grade VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Padang Panjang at n-1 degrees of freedom and a significant level of 95%. So, it was concluded that the higher the reading comprehension skills of students 'description texts, the higher the students' writing description text skills

    Struktur, Diksi, dan Konjungsi Teks Prosedur Karya Siswa Kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Kota Solok

    The research aims to describe generic structure and language features of procedure texts by seventh grade students in SMP Negeri 1 Kota Solok. The method that is used is descriptive qualitative method. The data of the research are procedure texts collected in many sources such as the documents of 32 text procedure written by the students. The instrument of this research is the researcher her self. Data were analyzed by describing, analyzing, and discussing the data toward the theory. Based on the results of the study, there are two things that can be concluded. First, the seventh grade students in SMP Negeri 1 Kota Solok have used the five generic structure of procedure text in writing. The generic structures of of procedure text are title, purpose, tool or meterial, and closing. It is proven by 32 procedure texts that have been analyzed, there are all texts have titles, tools, and materials, as well working steps, only 8 texts that have a purpose. Students have not been able to write a good closing in making the procedure text. This is evident from 32 texts analyzed only 6 texts that have a cover. Second, in terms of language. The happiness analyzed is three, namely diction, conjunction, and imperative sentences. Of the 32 research data found 4,099 the number of diction consisting of 3,949 standard diction and 150 diction which are not standard. From 32 research data found 436 number of conjunctions consisting of 420 uses of precision conjunctions and 16 improper conjunctions

    The purpose of this research is three. First, describing the procedure of writing the text of a class VII junior high School 14 Padang before using modelling techniques. Second, describing the procedure of writing the text of Class VII in SMP Negeri 14 Padang after using modeling technique. Third, describing the influence of use of modeling techniques to the skill level of writing the text procedures class VII SMP Negeri 14 Padang. This type of research is quantitative research with experimental methods. This research draft is one group Pretests and posttest design. The population in this study is a grade VII student at SMP Negeri 14 Padang enrolled in Lesson 2018/2019. The samples in this study were determined using purposive sampling techniques. This research variable is the skill of writing the procedure text before and after using the modeling technique of class VII SMP Negeri 14 Padang. This research Data is the test score of the text writing procedure before and after using the modeling technique of class VII SMP Negeri 14 Padang. The Data is analyzed with a percentage formula, average count formula, and test-T. The research instrument is a test of work, which is the test of the text of the procedure before and after using the modeling technique

    This article aims to describe the level of writing skills text procedures grade VII SMP Negeri 1 Pariaman. Type of this research is quantitative research with experimental methods. The results of the research there are three as follows. First, writing skills text procedures grade VII. 2 SMP Negeri 1 Pariaman before using the techniques resembled audiovisual media-assisted model is at a sufficient qualification (C) with an average value of 63.02. Second, the skills of writing text procedures grade VII. 2 SMP Negeri 1 Pariaman after using the techniques resembled audiovisual media-assisted models are on good qualifications (B) with an average value of 84.55. Third, based on the t-test, it was concluded that there is a significant influence in the use of techniques of audiovisual media-assisted models resembled towards writing skills text procedures grade VII SMP Negeri 1 thitung > ttabel because Pariaman (3.810 > 1.67)

    This article was written to describe the relationship of listening skill of observation report texts to the skill of writing the text of the result of observation of the seventh grade students of SMK Negeri 3 Padang. This research is a quantitative research with descriptive method. The sample in this study amounted to 30 people. The data of this research is score of skill test result listening the observation report text. Based on data analysis and discussion, the following three things are obtained. First, the skill of writing the text of the result of observation of the seventh grade students of SMK Negeri 3 Padang is in good qualification (65,56). Second, the skill of listeningto the text of the result of observation of the seventh grade students of SMK Negeri 3 Padang is in good qualification (79,44)

    This article was written to describe the contribution of listening skill of observation report texts to the skill of writing the text of the result of observation of the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Pariaman. This research is a quantitative research with descriptive method. The sample in this study amounted to 38 people. The data of this research is score of skill test result listening the observation report text. Based on data analysis and discussion, the following three things are obtained. First, the skill of writing the text of the result of observation of the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Pariaman is in good qualification (80,15). Second, the skill of listening to the text of the result of observation of the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Pariaman is in good qualification (82.20). Third, the listening skill of the observation report has 31,03% contribution to the writing skill of the observation report of VII students of SMP Negeri 2 Pariaman and the rest (68,97%) influenced by other factors not examined in this research

    The purpose of this study is to describe the influence of cooperative learning model of Think Talk Write in writing exposition text at grade VII ofMTsS Diniyah Pandai Sikek. The method of this research is an experimental method with a quasi experiment type. The result of this research shows that there is an influence of cooperative learning model of think talk write in writing exposition text for students at grade VII at MTsS Diniyah Pandai Sikek at significant level 95% with degree of freedom (n1+n2) -2, that is ttable<tvalue(1,70 <7,48). Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted because the results of testing the hypothesis prove that the value of ttabel is smaller than tvalue

    This article was at revealing the contribution the students' reading appreciative folklore to the skills of reproducing folklore in class X SMA Negeri 1 Batipuh Tanah Datar. The data of the research were the result of the test on reading appreciative folklore and the skills of reproducing folklore. The data were gotten through an objective test intended to measure the student's reading appreciative folklore and a performance test intended to measure the students skills of reproducing folklore. Based on the research findings and discussions, three conclusions were drawn. First, reading appreciative folklore of the students' in class X SMA Negeri 1 Batipuh Tanah Datar was in more than adequate category (82,56). Second, the skills of reproducing folklore of students' in class X SMA Negeri 1 Batipuh Tanah Datar was in more than adequate category (79,37). Third, there was a significant contribution between the students' reading appreciative folklore with the skills of reproducing folklore in class X SMA Negeri 1 Batipuh Tanah Datar in which the significance level 95% with the degrees of freedom n-1 (dk = n-1).
