Comment intégrer un artiste intervenant dans une pratique pédagogique ?

If each operator collaborates and respects his role, then the triangle built between the teacher, the artist and the pupils achieves harmony during a partnership. However, this exchange require an organisation, a communication and a commitment. Supposing that an artist would be legitimate in a class, how does the teacher must behave in order to guarantee the learnings through the artist? The new educational programs of 2015, ask artists to be present in the class in order to improve the artistic and cultural educational process. Through the educational programs, some case in general about art teaching, an history of the partnership between artists and teachers, and the method of the partnership, we can notice the evolution of integration of artists in the school.Using questionnaires draw up for art teaching advisors, teachers, and artists, we study each role and their perceptions of a good project with a partnership. Then, we focus on the reasons why some teachers have not created a project with an artist.

2D adaptive FEM simulation of failures in high-speed impacts

The simulation of high-speed impacts needs the use of advanced constitutive equations required for the accurate prediction of the different thermomechanical fields and their mutual interactions (temperature, large strains, hardening, damage, friction …). Since these fields localize inside intense shear bands (ISB), ductile micro-cracks initiate inside these ISB leading to the initiation of macroscopic crack and its fast propagation until the final fracture occurs. Accordingly, these advanced constitutive equations should take into account not only the strong thermomechanical coupling but also the ductile damage and its strong effect (coupling) on the other thermomechanical fields. In this work a complete set of advanced and fully coupled thermo-elasto-viscoplastic-damage constitutive equations accounting for mixed nonlinear isotropic and kinematic hardening fully coupled with the ductile isotropic damage and the thermal softening for time dependent finite plasticity is presented. Related numerical aspects in the framework of a fully adaptive 2D finite element strategy are developed and briefly discussed. This adaptive procedure is applied to the simulation of simple high velocity impact of thick sheets with dynamic ductile fracture occurrence. Attention is paid to the localization of the main thermomechanical fields inside the ISB as well as to the macroscopic cracks initiation and growth under high velocity impact

Surface remeshing by local hermite diffuse interpolation

International audienceWe propose a method to build a three-dimensional adapted surface mesh with respect to a mesh size map driven by surface curvature. The data needed to optimize the mesh have been reduced to an initial mesh. The building of a local geometrical model but continuous over the whole domain is based on a local Hermite diffuse interpolation calculated from the nodes of the initial mesh and from the normal vectors to the surface. The optimization procedures involve extracting from the surface mesh sets of triangles sharing the same node or the same edge and then remeshing the outer contour to a higher criterion (size or shape). These procedures may be used in order to refine or coarsen the mesh but also in a final step to enhance the shape quality of the elements. Examples demonstrate the ability of the method to create adapted meshes of complex surfaces while meeting high-quality standards and a good respect of the geometrical surface

New smoothing procedures in contact mechanics

AbstractThis paper presents recent methods to improve numerical simulation of contact problems by smoothing. The main idea is to combine contact surfaces regularization with an automatic adjustment of both penalty parameter and load step. The underlying goal is to provide handle situations frequently met in an industrial context

A methodology to mesh mesoscopic representative volume element of 3D interlock woven composites impregnated with resin

    Get PDF
AbstractWe present a new numerical methodology to build a Representative Volume Element (RVE) of a wide range of 3D woven composites in order to determine the mechanical behavior of the fabric unit cell by a mesoscopic approach based on a 3D finite element analysis. Emphasis is put on the numerous difficulties of creating a mesh of these highly complex weaves embedded in a resin. A conforming mesh at the numerous interfaces between yarns is created by a multi-quadtree adaptation technique, which makes it possible thereafter to build an unstructured 3D mesh of the resin with tetrahedral elements. The technique is not linked with any specific tool, but can be carried out with the use of any 2D and 3D robust mesh generators
