    Phenomenology of ΛbΛcτνˉτ\Lambda_b \to \Lambda_c \tau \bar{\nu}_{\tau} using lattice QCD calculations

In a recent paper we studied the effect of new-physics operators with different Lorentz structures on the semileptonic ΛbΛcτνˉτ\Lambda_b \to \Lambda_c \tau \bar{\nu}_{\tau} decay. This decay is of interest in light of the R(D())R({D^{(*)}}) puzzle in the semileptonic BˉD()τνˉτ\bar{B} \to D^{(*)} \tau {\bar\nu}_\tau decays. In this work we add tensor operators to extend our previous results and consider both model-independent new physics (NP) and specific classes of models proposed to address the R(D())R({D^{(*)}}) puzzle. We show that a measurement of R(Λc)=B[ΛbΛcτνˉτ]/B[ΛbΛcνˉ]R(\Lambda_c) = {\cal B}[\Lambda_b \to \Lambda_c \tau \bar{\nu}_{\tau}] / {\cal B}[\Lambda_b \to \Lambda_c \ell \bar{\nu}_{\ell}] can strongly constrain the NP parameters of models discussed for the R(D())R({D^{(*)}}) puzzle. We use form factors from lattice QCD to calculate all ΛbΛcτνˉτ\Lambda_b \to \Lambda_c \tau \bar{\nu}_{\tau} observables. The ΛbΛc\Lambda_b \to \Lambda_c tensor form factors had not previously been determined in lattice QCD, and we present new lattice results for these form factors here.Comment: 44 pages, 105 figure

The physical contact or the daily body interaction with people by shaking hands, using electronic and payment cards or touching objects such as devices, pens, access cards and gates, all these habits increase the proportion of spreading microbes, viruses and spread diseases among the people all over the world. This project illustrates how body contact can lead to a global disaster by spreading dangerous diseases and deadly viruses among people because of their daily dealings and routine. Analytical techniques were used to explore the relevant data and visualize how body contact increases the infection of a disease to become a pandemic, moreover, how entities lose data and waste important information of their daily consumers without getting any benefit in their business development and marketing. This project has gone further by conducting exploratory analysis on three datasets about Covid19, risk level, and wasting data. Specifying the feature columns was the first step, then cleaning them through handling the missing value and replacing the null values. Understanding all three datasets through visualizing them and exact the knowledge and observations to build the insights. The visualization demonstrated how the new cases of Covid19 were increased, the effectiveness of the metrics applied by the governments presented by the level of the stringency in the first dataset. In addition, the project focused on the United Arab Emirates and its role in tackling the pandemic compared with the other GCC countries. Moreover, Using the machine learning algorithms to build a smart solution depending on the second dataset, testing more than one algorithm and compared among them using the Cross-Validation method and chose the best. The more interesting solution in this project was through building another smart solution depending on the result of the Data Importance survey in the third dataset. This solution will eliminate wasting data and increase the ability to use collected data in developing the entity business and transform them into data-driven entities. As a result of this project, the unified contactless App will work to reduce the direct body contact and mitigating the use of the access cards and tactile devices available at the gates of public and private entities. In return, using this smart solution will reduce the infection of any pandemics and will generate a huge amount of data about users that will help in conducting business analysis to improve the quality of the services and increase the satisfaction and happiness indicators, develop the procedures of prevention and protection, raise the level of security in the society by monitoring and tracing any illegal habits and behaves

The present investigation was carried out to explore the physiological changes in early, mid and late varieties of date palms in United Arab Emirates. The concentrations of biochemicals and antioxidant compounds, activities of antioxidant enzymes with their isoenzyme profiles, endogenous phytohormone contents were studied from preflowering, flowering, and post-flowering stages. Two varieties each from early (Shaham, Khanezi), mid (Barhee, Nabthasaif) and late (Khasab, Fardh) flowering types were used in the study. The protein content was higher in early varieties in preflowering stage, but lower in other two varieties. The phenol showed an opposite trend to protein. Ascorbic acid, reduced glutathione and tocopherol showed significant variation in different varieties. Similarly, the antioxidant enzyme ascorbate peroxidase was higher in preflowering stage in all varieties. Superoxide dismutase, polyphenol oxidase and catalase activities were highest in Bharhee for all the stages. Peroxidase activity (POX) was highest in Fardh variety of date palm whereas Khanezi exhibited the lowest. Several isoperoxidases bands were observed in gel electrophoresis at the time of flowering. The phytohormones varied within varieties. The levels of gibberellic acid, indole acetic acid, zeatin, and abscisic acid contents were positively influenced in pre-flowering and flowering stages due to the flower development process. The hormonal contents showed a transient rise in the preflowering stage and decreased during the flowering time and elevated in the postflowering stage. This study provided an insight into the possible roles of biochemicals, antioxidants with isoenzymes and endogenous hormones and their interactions in the regulation of flower development in different date palm varieties

Chlorpyrifos is a member of the organophosphorus class of insecticides. This class of insecticides has become one of the most widely under groups of pest control chemicals. Early organophosphorus compounds that were found to be efficacious for insect control and thus brought into widespread use, e.g. Chlorpyrifos, Parathion and Malathion. The broad-spectrum insecticidal properties of Chlorpyrifos indicated that it possessed substantial commercial potential to use against a wide variety of important arthropod pest via a number of commercialized products. Therefore, it is employed in a wide variety of agricultural and specially pest control scenarious and other arthropod pests threatening production of fiber and maintenance of human health. This thesis involves the polarographic and voltammetric behaviour of Chlorpyrifos at the mercury electrode surface. The work was developed for application of the differential pulse-polarography (DPP) and cathodic adsorptive stripping voltammetry (DP-CASV) for determination of Chlorpyrifos in some water samples and in tomato plant. Chapter I of the thesis includes the environmental impact, sequences for pesticide residue analysis and a literature survey about the preconcentration and analysis of organochloro and organophosphorous pesticides. Also, the objective of this work is included. The experimental part of the thesis is presented in Chapter II. It includes the chemicals and materials used, the methods of preparation of the various solutions and the methods of preparation of the compound in various water samples. The instruments used for polarographic and voltammetric analysis are included. The general procedures for polarographic and voltammetric analysis as well as, for the extraction of the insecticide from water and plant samples were presented. In Chapter III the differential pulse polarographic (OPP) behaviour of Chlorpyrifos (CP) was investigated over a wide range of pH (pH 1.8-10.1). CP compound displays a well resolved cathodic reduction peak at -1.2 V vs Ag/AgCl (pH 3.2). This peak is probably corresponding to the reduction of the \/ C = N - centre of the pyridyl moiety. The effect of solution and operational parameters on the sensitivity of the OPP peak was carefully examined in order to select the optimum conditions for determination of the CP compound. Under the optimum conditions the reduction response gives a linear calibration curve over a concentration range of 9.70 x 10-7 - 6.92 x 10-6 M and the detection limit was found to be 8.7 x 10-7 M. The effects of some diverse metal ions, anions and other organophosphorus insecticide on the determination of CP compound were studied. The applicability of OPP for determination of the CP insecticide in the commercial sample as well as in some irrigation water (treated waste water and underground water) was detected. The cyclic voltammetric (CY) and the differential pulse – cathodic adsorptive stripping voltammetric (DP-CASY) behaviour of the CP compound at Hg electrode were presented in Chapter IY. The CV indicates that the oxidized form of the CP compound is strongly adsorbed at the mercury electrode surface, which is the ideal condition to apply the OP-CASY method for trace analysis of the CP compound. Under the optimum conditions (pH 5.01, 10 mV/s scan rate, 50 mV pulse amplitude, -0.4 V adsorption time and 180-240 s adsorption time) the tested compound was detected down to 1 x 10-8 mol/L using DP-CASV method. Also, the method was applied for determination of the CP compound in some water samples (tape water, underground water and treated waste water). The degree of recoveries of the CP prepared in various water samples are in the acceptable range (91-103%) except in case of underground water the degree of recovery of CP is relatively low (76-81 %). A method of analysis was developed for determination of CP in tomato tissue, it was found that 2.66 x 10-7 mol/L CP is the concentration of CP in tomato tissue and it could be determined down to 0.018 mg CP/kg tomato. It can be concluded that the Chlorpyrifos compound could be determined using DPP with a detection limit of 8.7 x 10-7 mol/L. However, the trace analysis of CP could be possible down to 1 x 10-8 mol/ L (0.0034 mg/ L) using DP-CASV technique
