Third-order optical autocorrelator for time-domain operation at telecommunication wavelengths

We report on amorphous organic thin films that exhibit efficient third-harmonic generation at telecommunication wavelengths. At 1550 nm, micrometer-thick samples generate up to 17 µW of green light with input power of 250 mW delivered by an optical parametric oscillator. This high conversion efficiency is achieved without phase matching or cascading of quadratic nonlinear effects. With these films, we demonstrate a low-cost, sensitive third-order autocorrelator that can be used in the time-frequency domain

Ultrafast-pulse diagnostic using third-order frequency-resolved optical gating in organic films

We report on the diagnostic of ultrafast pulses by frequency-resolved optical gating (FROG) based on strong third-harmonic generation (THG) in amorphous organic thin films. The high THG conversion efficiency of these films allows for the characterization of sub-nanojoule short pulses emitting at telecommunication wavelengths using a low cost portable fiber spectrometer

Análisis de elementos mecánicos para reducir daños a la fruta en líneas de manipulación.

En una línea experimental de manipulación de fruta, diseñada e instalada en el Departamento de Ingeniería Rural de la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, fue estudiado el diseño correcto de la estructura de las cintas transportadoras y la regulación y eficacia de elementos deceleradores (cepillo y cortina), con el objetivo de reducir el daño infringido a la fruta, utilizando dos frutos electrónicos IS 100 (8.8 cm Ø y 6.2 cm Ø). Los resultados mostraron que las intensidades de impacto registradas por los frutos electrónicos en los puntos de transferencia pueden ser reducidas (hasta un 53%) utilizando elementos deceleradores bien regulados. El tamaño de la fruta a manipular y el diseño del punto de transferencia deben ser analizados para llevar a cabo una correcta regulación del elemento decelerador. Por otro lado, la ubicación de rodillos estructurales bajo cintas transportadoras en los puntos de transferencia debe ser evitada con el fin de reducir la intensidad del impacto recibido por la fruta

El presente trabajo se refiere al Diseño de una Estrategia para Mejorar la Rentabilidad de la Empresa Businesswise S.A. Está compuesta por cinco capìtulos. El primer capítulo es el Plan de Investigación, en el que se describe el trabajo a realizarse, justificativos, objetivos e hipótesis. El segundo dapítulo presenta el diagnóstico de la situación financiera de la empresa Businesswise S.A. El tercer capítulo corresponde a la identificación de problemas de la empresa objeto de estudio. El cuarto capítulo contiene el diseño de la estrategia para aumentar la rentabilidad y finalmente el quinto capítulo muestra las conclusiones y recomendaciones en base al estudio realizado.The current work refers to the Design of a Strategy to Improve Profitability of Businesswise S.A.
