    The purpose of this research is to develop appropriate inquiry-based science teaching materials to improve students' scientific literacy. This type of research includes research and development. The development research procedure carried out in teaching materials refers to the development steps of Dick and Carey, there are ten (10) stages. However, in this development research, it was only carried out up to stage nine (9) namely at the stage of implementing formative evaluation and revising the product. In addition to developing teaching materials, researchers also developed a syllabus, lesson plans, and evaluation instruments. This research only focuses on the priority of science teaching materials. The data collection technique used a validation questionnaire sheet which was assessed by product experts and media experts. The data analysis technique used Aiken's V. Based on the results of the validity analysis using the Aiken index and the reliability analysis using the agreed proportion, it is known that the inquiry-based science teaching materials developed have valid and reliable criteria

    Clustering is one of technique in data mining which has purpose to group data into a cluster. At the end, a cluster will have different data compared with others. This paper discussed about the implementation of clustering technique in determining UKT (Uang Kuliah Tinggal) / Tuition Fee in Indonesia. UKT is a tuition fee where its amount is determined by considering students purchasing power. Most of University in Indonesia often use manual technique in order to classify UKT\u27s group for each student. Using web-based application, this paper proposed a new approach to automatise UKT\u27s grouping which leads to give an reasonable recommendation in determining the UKT\u27s group. Pillar K-Means algorithm had been implemented to conduct data clustering. This algorithm used pillar algorithm to initiate centroid value in K-means algorithm. By deploying students data at Institut Teknologi Sumatera Lampung as case study, the result illustrated that Pillar K-Means and silhouette coefficient value might be adopted in determining UKT\u27s grou

    IMPLEMENTATION OF PROJECT ORIENTED PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING (POPBL) MODEL INTEGRATED WITH STEM TO ENHANCE JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS' SCIENCE CONCEPT MASTERY

    The low ability of students to solve problems is in line with the low mastery of science concepts. In this study, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) integrated Project Oriented Problem Based Learning (POPBL) learning models were implemented to improve the mastery of science concepts of junior high school students, especially on the topic of Environmental Pollution. The method used was a mixed-method. The STEM integrated STB learning model design framework consists of 3 stages: Onset Stage, Execution Stage, and Closure Stage. The concept of students is emphasized at the onset stage in the case study dissemination phase. In this phase, students analyze problems based on articles provided by the teacher. The more understanding the material, the more critical students will explore existing issues and find logical solutions to those problems. The results showed that there was a difference between the average pretest and posttest learning outcomes (t=-5,660; df = 53; Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,000). This indicates an increase in junior high school students' science concepts mastery after using the STEM integrated POPBL Learning Model. Improving students' mastery of concepts using a STEM integrated POPBL learning model is still in the low category with n-gain = 0.17. Although still in the low category, the POPBL learning model with the STEM approach can be optimized to improve students' mastery of concepts and skills on other science topics

    This study aims to determine the ability of seventh grade students of MTs Al-Muhajirin Melayu Sungai Ketapang Rayak learning year 2015/2016 in understanding non-literature text. This research is quantitative and the method used in this research is descriptive method. The sample in this study is the entire population sampled as many as 42 students. Results of analysis of data obtained at each level of understanding that is at the level of literal understanding of the results obtained 88.57 category of "Very Good", at the level of understanding of inferential 75.59 category "Enough", at the level of critical understanding of the results obtained 82.85 categories "Good", and the latter at the level 81.97 creative understanding obtained results categories "Good". The fourth aspect is based on the understanding it can be concluded that the ability of the students in understanding the overall results obtained non-literature text 3492 with an average of 83.14286 category of "Good"

    Reconstructing the potential for the 1D Schrödinger equation from boundary measurements

    International audienceWe consider the inverse problem of determining the potential in the dynamical Schrödinger equation on the interval by the measurement on the boundary. We use the Boundary Control method to recover the spectrum of the problem from the observation at either left or right end points. Using the specificity of the one-dimensional situation we recover the spectral function, reducing the problem to the classical one which could be treated by known methods. We apply the algorithm to the situation when only the finite number of eigenvalues are known and prove the convergence of the method
