    Con el estudio de factibilidad que se desarrolló en el trabajo de titulación, se propuso conocer si la implementación de un sistema de transporte por cable de productos agrícolas en la parroquia San Simón del cantón Guaranda se considera de interés económico y social para los productores de la zona. Para conocer dicha factibilidad se desarrolló una investigación de campo mediante la aplicación de encuestas que sirvieron de información para el estudio de mercado. Una vez conocida la existencia de un mercado latente se elaboró un estudio técnico, mismo que generó información sobre aspectos de la localización, infraestructura y operación. A partir de estos datos se elaboró un análisis económico obteniendo que, para la implementación del proyecto se estimó una inversión inicial de 171.700obteniendounVANdeUSD171.700 obteniendo un VAN de USD 45.087,59, un TIR de 7%, indicadores económicos que permitieron determinar que el proyecto de Transporte por cable de los productos agrícolas en la parroquia San Simón es factible técnica y económicamente. En este contexto se recomendó dar continuidad a lo planteado en el presente proyecto, con el fin de solucionar la problemática que se vive en muchas otras comunidades agrícolas ubicadas a lo largo de la sierra ecuatoriana, que ven frenado su crecimiento productivo en muchos casos por las dificultades presentadas en las vías de acceso y transporte de las mercancías.With the feasibility study that was developed in the degree work, we proposed to know if implementing a cable transport system for agricultural products in the San Simon parish of the Guaranda canton is considered of economic and social interest for the producers of the area. To determine this feasibility, they carried field research out through the application of surveys that served as information for the market study. Once they know the existence of a latent market, they carried a technical study out, which generated information on aspects of location, infrastructure, and operation. Based on this data, they achieved an economic analysis, getting an estimated initial investment of 171,700forimplementingtheproject,withanNPVofUSD171,700 for implementing the project, with an NPV of USD 45,087.59 and an IRR of 7%, economic indicators that allowed determining that the project for cable transport of agricultural products in the San Simón parish is technically and economically workable. In this context, they recommended it to continue with this project, to solve the problems experienced in many other agricultural communities throughout the Ecuadorian highlands, which see their productive growth slowed down most times by the difficulties in access roads and transportation of goods

    Two searches for physics beyond the standard model in events containing photons are presented. The data sample used corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 inverse femtobarns of proton-proton collisions at s\sqrt{s} = 8 TeV, collected with the CMS experiment at the CERN LHC. The analyses pursue different inclusive search strategies. One analysis requires at least one photon, at least two jets, and a large amount of transverse momentum imbalance, while the other selects events with at least two photons and at least one jet, and uses the razor variables to search for signal events. The background expected from standard model processes is evaluated mainly from data. The results are interpreted in the context of general gauge-mediated supersymmetry, with the next-to-lightest supersymmetric particle either a bino- or wino-like neutralino, and within simplified model scenarios. Upper limits at 95% confidence level are obtained for cross sections as functions of the masses of the intermediate supersymmetric particles

    Search for the X(5568) state decaying into Bs0π±\mathrm{B}^{0}_{\mathrm{s}}\pi^{\pm} in proton-proton collisions at s=\sqrt{s} = 8 TeV

    A search for resonance-like structures in the Bs0π±\mathrm{B}^{0}_{\mathrm{s}}\pi^{\pm} invariant mass spectrum is performed using proton-proton collision data collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC at s=\sqrt{s} = 8 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 fb1^{-1}. The Bs0\mathrm{B}^{0}_{\mathrm{s}} mesons are reconstructed in the decay chain Bs0J/ψϕ\mathrm{B}^{0}_{\mathrm{s}} \rightarrow \mathrm{J}/\psi\,\phi, with J/ψμ+μ\mathrm{J}/\psi \rightarrow \mu^+\mu^- and ϕK+K\phi\rightarrow\mathrm{K^{+}}\mathrm{K^{-}}. The Bs0π±\mathrm{B}^{0}_{\mathrm{s}}\pi^{\pm} invariant mass distribution shows no statistically significant peaks for different selection requirements on the reconstructed Bs0\mathrm{B}^{0}_{\mathrm{s}} and π±\pi^{\pm} candidates. Upper limits are set on the relative production rates of the X(5568) and Bs0\mathrm{B}^{0}_{\mathrm{s}} states times the branching fraction of the decay X(5568)±Bs0π±\mathrm{X}(5568)^{\pm} \rightarrow \mathrm{B}^{0}_{\mathrm{s}} \pi^{\pm} . In addition, upper limits are obtained as a function of the mass and the natural width of possible exotic states decaying into Bs0π±\mathrm{B}^{0}_{\mathrm{s}}\pi^{\pm}
