    An Efficient Information Extraction Mechanism with Page Ranking and a Classification Strategy based on Similarity Learning of Web Text Documents

    Users have recently had more access to information thanks to the growth of the www information system. In these situations, search engines have developed into an essential tool for consumers to find information in a big space. The difficulty of handling this wealth of knowledge grows more difficult every day. Although search engines are crucial for information gathering, many of the results they offer are not required by the user because they are ranked according on user string matches. As a result, there were semantic disparities between the terms used in the user inquiry and the importance of catch phrases in the results. The problem of grouping relevant information into categories of related topics hasn't been solved. A Ranking Based Similarity Learning Approach and SVM based classification frame work of web text to estimate the semantic comparison between words to improve extraction of information is proposed in the work. The results of the experiment suggest improvisation in order to obtain better results by retrieving more relevant results

    A New Technique for Solving Unbalanced Intuitionistic Fuzzy Transportation Problems

    In this paper, a new method is proposed for solving unbalanced Intuitionistic fuzzy transportation problems assuming that a decision maker is uncertain about the precise values of transportation costs, demand and supply of the product. In this proposed method, transportation costs, demand and supply of the product are represented by triangular Intuitionistic fuzzy numbers. To illustrate it, a numerical example is solved and the obtained result is compared with the results of other existing methods. It is very easy to understand this method which can be applied to real life transportation problems

    This thesis is an ongoing project of Ericsson with collaboration of Blekinge Institute of Technology [BTH], and Linneaus University [LNU] to compare the functionality and performance of three controllers Polynomial Pole Placement, PID [Proportional Integral Derivative] and PD controller in third order. This paper presents the state space modeling approach of DC-DC Buck converter. The main aim of this thesis is, by considering the buck converter system of Ericsson BMR450 with the PID, POLYNOMIAL and PD controllers at feedback loop, thus running their Matlab file with their appropiate Simulink block diagram, and comparing the three controllers performance by verifying their appropiate output graphs. The third order controller design is complicated and response is slow. The second order design is easy and gives better responses than third order Polynomial, PID and PD controllers.As per the results point of view, the polynomial performed well than PID and PD controllers. The simulations show that the polynomial controller reaches the reference voltage very well, were the PID and PD result does not differ very much while meeting with the required reference voltage. Thus we conclude that the Polynomial controller design and results were better than the PID and PD Controllers.     Two-Person Technique of Peroral Endoscopic Myotomy for Achalasia with an Advanced Endoscopist and a Thoracic Surgeon: Initial Experience

    Background and Aims. We initiated peroral endoscopic myotomy (POEM) utilizing a two-person technique with combination of an advanced endoscopist and a thoracic surgeon with complementary skills. Our aim was to determine the feasibility and outcomes in initial 20 patients. Methods. In this observational study, main outcomes measured were therapeutic success in relieving symptoms (Eckardt score < 3), decrease in lower esophageal sphincter (LES) pressures, improvement in emptying on timed barium esophagogram (TBE), and complications. Results. POEM was successful in all 20 patients with a mean operative time of 140.1+32.9 minutes. Eckardt symptom scores decreased significantly at two-month follow-up (6.4+2.9 versus 0.25+0.45, p<0.001). Both basal and residual LES pressures decreased significantly (28.2+14.1 mmHg versus 12.8+6.3 and 22.4+11.3 versus 6.3+3.4 mmHg, p=0.025 and <0.001, resp.). Barium column height at 5 minutes on TBE reduced from 6.8+4.9 cm to 2.3+2.9 cm (p=0.05). Two patients (10%) had mucosal perforations and one had delayed bleeding (5%). Conclusions. Two-person technique of POEM with combination of an advanced endoscopist and a thoracic surgeon is highly successful with low risk of complications

    Citral derived amides as potent bacterial NorA efflux pump inhibitors

    Monoterpene citral and citronellal have been used as starting material for the preparation of 5,9- dimethyl-deca-2,4,8-trienoic acid amides and 9-formyl-5-methyl-deca-2,4,8-trienoic acid amides. The amides on bioevaluation as efflux pump inhibitors (EPIs) against Staphylococcus aureus 1199 and NorA overexpressing S. aureus 1199B bacteria resulted in the identification of several of these as potent EPIs. Many of these amides have been shown to possess potency higher or equivalent to known EPIs such as reserpine, verapamil, carsonic acid, and piperine. In this communication, we report a convenient synthesis of alkenyl amides, their bioevaluation and identification as efflux pump inhibitors against S. aureus
