    Peran seni dalam konteks pendidikan umum adalah membantu tujuan pendidikan danmenjadi metode pendekatan belajar dengan cara: belajar dengan Seni artinya Seni sebagaiAlat Untuk Memahami Subjek Matter, dari suatu mata pelajaran, belajar melalui seniartintya seni sebagai wahana atau media untuk menggali subject matter, dan belajartentang seni yaitu seni sebagai materi ajaran, Pendidikan Luar Sekolah (PLS) adalahsalah satu bentuk pembelajaran yang memiliki ruang lingkup dan sasaran yangberbeda dengan pembelajaran formal (persekolahan). Sasaran yang dibidik dan yangmenjadi warga belajae bukan anak-anak usia sekolah, melainkan para pemuda danorang dewasa. Dari sinilah urgensi peranan seni sebagai media dan alat pembelajarandiperlukan agar proses pembelajaran dapat mencapai tujuan. Namun pencapaiantujuan pembelajaran sendiri sangat bergantung kepada kemampuan tutor dalammenguasai seni sebagai alat dan media untuk berkomunikasi, berinteraksi, danmencapai materi kepada warga belajarnya

    Rat is a rodent (rodensia) which cannot be separated from parasitic organism attacks the ectoparasites(fleas). In the presence of fleas plague focus areas need to watch out, for no increase in cases of plague(outbreak). Pest is a zoonosis in rat that can be transmitted to humans through the bite of fleas Xenopsyllacheopsis containing Yersinia pestis. Boyolali District is one of the plague focus areas in Central Java. Thisstudy aims to identify the species of rats and fleas, trap succes, flea infestation in rats and flea index as anindicator of vulnerability to transmission of plague. The study is a descriptive survey with cross sectionaldesign. The population is all the rats and fleas in Boyolali district. Samples are rats and fleas that werecaught using live trap with coconut roasted and salted fish is placed inside and outside the home (each 2trap). Rat combed for fleas. The results showed the number of mouses caught were 245. There are 4 speciesrats and small mammals found in R. tanezumi, R. tiomanicus, R. exulans, N. fulvescens and S.murinus withsucces trap at 5.71%. Only 3 species and S.murinus of infected fleas. Species of flea is X. cheopis and S.cognatus. Specific flea index: Xenopsylla cheopis by 1.67; flea index cognatus Stavilus common flea indexof 0.88 and 2.55. Based on the warning system indicator about the bubonic plague spreading,which isspecific flea index of X.cheopis >1 and fleas index >2, Selo sub distric should be aware to the spreading ofbubonic plague in its area, so that it is important to carry out the controlling of rat and flea population

    Lecithin is a natural amphiphilic substance which has unique structures. Lecithin molecules are able to aggregate to form a carrier structure known as liposom which is useful for carrying active substances in drug, food and cosmetics. Lecithin is generally derived from soybeans and eggs. Research efforts have been made to seek new sources of lecithin such as from coconut and sesame seeds. This study aimed to determine the character of plant lecithin derived from coconut and sesame seeds. Isolation of lecithin was done by solvent extraction using a mixture of chloroform-methanol (2:1) and characterization was conducted using TLC, FTIR and GCMS. The results indicated that lecithins from coconut and sesame seeds were from cephalin class with hydrophilic group consisted of ethanolamin. The lipophilic parts of coconut lecithin were C12 and C8 and those of sesame seeds lecithin were C18:1 and C18:0

    Validasi Metode Analisis Multiresidu Pestisida Organoklor dalam Salak Menggunakan Kromatografi Gas-Detektor Penangkap Elektron

    Validation of methods is a key step in the accreditation process of the method. Validation of organoklor pesticide residues method in snakefruit based on the method recommended by FAO-WHO, conducted in LPPT-UGM reported in this study. Snake fruit was homogenized, extracted using toluene/2-propanol (2:1), cleaned up using activated carbon and Celite 545, followed by analysis using gas chromatography-electron capture detector. Validation covered specificity and selectivity, limits of detection and quantification, linear range, precision and accuracy. Validation results showed good specificity and selectivity shown by the inter-peak chromatogram resolution greater than 1.5. Limits of detection and quantification for heptaklor, endosulfan, dieldrin and p, p-DDT were 0.002 and 0.006, 0.5 and 1.7; 0.0006 and 0.002, as well as 0.014 and 0.047 ppm respectively. The linear range for heptaklor, endosulfan, dieldrin, and p,p-DDT were 0.0017 to 2 ppm, 0.165 to 2 ppm, 0.023 to 2 ppm and 0.229 to 2 ppm, respectively. Precision methods meet the acceptance of Horwitz RSD value less than 12.78% at a concentration of 0.3 ppm. Accuracy is indicated by recovery, for each pesticide in the range of 80-110% acceptance at a concentration of 0.1 ppm. Analysis of organochlorine pesticides in three commercial snakefruit samples showed no pesticide residues at concentrations higher than the detection limit.ASBTRAKValidasi metode merupakan tahap kunci dalam proses akreditasi suatu metode. Validasi metode uji residu pestisida organoklor dalam salak berdasarkan metode yang direkomendasikan FAO-WHO, di LPPT-UGM dilaporkan pada penelitian ini. Buah salak dihomogenisasi, diekstraksi menggunakan toluen/2-propanol (2:1), clean up menggunakan karbon aktif dan Celite 545, dilanjutkan analisis menggunakan kromatografi gas-detektor penangkap elektron. Validasi mencakup spesifisitas dan selektivitas, batas deteksi dan kuantifikasi, range linier, presisi serta akurasi. Hasil validasi menunjukkan spesifisitas dan selektivitas yang baik ditunjukkan dengan resolusi antar puncak kromatogram lebih besar dari 1,5. Batas deteksi dan batas kuantifikasi untuk heptaklor, endosulfan, dieldrin dan p,p-DDT secara berturut-turut adalah 0,002 dan 0,006; 0,5 dan 1,7; 0,0006 dan 0,002; serta 0,014 dan 0,047 ppm. Range linier untuk heptaklor adalah 0,0017-2 ppm, endosulfan 0,165-2 ppm, dieldrin 0,023-2 ppm dan p,p-DDT 0,229-2 ppm. Presisi metode memenuhi batas keberterimaan Horwitz dengan nilai RSD lebih kecil dari 12,78% pada konsentrasi 0,3 ppm. Akurasi ditunjukkan dengan recovery, untuk tiap pestisida masuk dalam rentang keberterimaan 80-110% pada konsentrasi 0,1 ppm. Analisis pestisida organoklorin pada 3 sampel salak komersial menunjukkan tidak adanya residu pestisida dengan konsentrasi lebih tinggi dari batas deteksi

    Genotypic And Phenotypic Characterization Of Alcaligenes Javaensis Jg3 Potential AS An Effective Biodegrader

    Utilization of glycerol by lipase producing bacteria offers great benefits for fat and oil waste degradation and waterwaste treatment. Nevertheless, there have been lack of reports about the availability of non-pathogenic, lipase producing bacteria, which could naturally degrade glycerol produced from the lipolysis process by lipase. This study reported a newly identified species of rhizobacteria, Alcaligenes javaensis JG3, which is not only able to produce high level of lipase, but also able to degrade glycerol molecules. Identification of strain JG3 was carried out using SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope), BD Phoenix 100 Automated Microbiology System and 16S rRNA gene analysis to determine its taxonomy status. The ability of the strain to metabolize glycerol was investigated both genotypically and phenotypically using degenerate PCR and a glycerol minimal medium. Identification test results showed that strain JG3 belongs to genus Alcaligenes, with the closest relationship with A. faecalis and A. aquatilis (96% nucleotide similarity maximum). Degenerate PCR resulted in a 248-bp sequence showing 93% similarity with glpK of Candidatus Sodalis pierantonius SOPE, a key gene involved in glycerol metabolism. In vitro glycerol utilization test result showed that Alcaligenes sp. JG3 was able to grow on glycerol aerobically, but not anaerobically. It is concluded that Alcaligenes sp. JG3 possesses genes coding for glycerol metabolism and this trait is phenotypically expressed, thus making the strain potential to be used as an effective fat and oil biodegrader

    Bionomik Nyamuk Anopheles Dan Kebiasaan Penduduk Yang Menunjang Kejadian Malaria Di Kecamatan Pagedongan Kabupaten Banjarnegara Tahun 2005

    Malaria masih merupakan masalah kesehatan global termasuk di Indonesia. Kabupaten Banjarnegara merupakan salah satu kabupaten di Jawa Tengah yang mempunyai masalah malaria cukup serius. Sampai dengan tahun 2002 telah tercatat 86 desa endemis dari 276 desa yang ada, sedangkan 175 desa terancam menjadi daerah HCI (High Case lncidens), jumlah penderita malaria pada tahun 2001 sebanyak 6.793 orang (API: 7,47%o) meningkat menjadi 13.401 orang (API: 15,33%o) pada tahun 2002 dan 90,2% dari kasus penderita indigenous.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui bionomik nyamuk anopheles dan kebiasaan penduduk yang menunjang kejadian malaria di lokasi penelitian.Penelitian ini termasuk dalam jenis penelitian deskriptif, karena menggambarkan bionomik nyamuk vektor dan kebiasaan penduduk. Penelitian ini bertempat di Kecamatan Pagedongan, KabupatenBanjarnegara, Provinsi Jawa Tengah dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari Nopember 2005.Tempat berkembangbiak Anopheles spp positif adalah kobakan air (belik) dan bekas galian pasir disungai dan mata air. Kebiasaan nyamuk Anopheles spp menggigit orang di dalam dan di luar rumah hampir sama banyaknya. Terjadi peningkatan jumlah nyamuk yang tajam pada bulan September. Aktivitas menggigit di dalam rumah dimulai pada pukul 18.00-19.00. Sedangkan aktivitas menggigit di luar rumah meningkat pada pukul 21. 00-22.00 dan mencapai puncaknya pada pukul 22. 00-23.00 dan 03.00-04.00.Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah adanya nyamuk tersangka vektor, kondisi lingkungan dan pengetahuan masyarakat menjadi faktor yang menunjang kejadian malaria di desa wilayah Kecamatan Pagedongan. Saran yang diberikan adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang malaria dan mengurangi keberadaan tempat-tempat perkembangbiakan nyamuk

    The growth of the non-formal education sector in the last decade is indispensable as a form of social services provided by an organization to be a reference for marginalized people to be able to pursue education equivalent to formal education. Entrepreneurship-based learning is an important solution to help and supplement the non-formal education sector to successfully meet many of these challenges. One benefit that is seen in combining entrepreneurship learning systems into non-formal education is the development and improvement of the provided curriculum followed by the conversion of lessons learned into practices and operating principles that help individuals in the organization to maintain and improve their performance capabilities so as to produce graduates who are ready work. Non-formal education is seen as a sustainable resource for learning and improvement not only for individuals in the organizationbutalsoforpartnersandstakeholdersaffiliatedwithnon-formaleducation. Effective motivation and team dynamics are factors that influence learning to develop entrepreneurial capacities that are important for the innovation process taken on opportunities that help build and grow non-formal education.
