    Literature Review Of Authentication Layer For Public Cloud Computing: A Meta-Analysis

    Cloud computing is a rapidly growing technology due to its highly flexible uses and applications. It also has other features such as simplicity, quick data access and reduced data storage costs. Consequently, it has been widely used by many organizations. This widespread use of cloud computing among organizations causes many security issues. Moreover, cloud computing layers are likely to be jeopardized by many security risks such as privileged user access, data location, data segregation, and data recovery. This paper aims to prepare an ample debate of a literature review-based studies that provided important insights to researchers in the scope of security cloud computing. The researcher applied a relevant set of keywords. These keywords are limited to the title, abstract and keywords search archives published between 2010 and June 2018. The database search returned a total of 308 publications. In addition, we conducted backward-forward searches from the reference lists of relevant, quality previous works on the security framework in public cloud computing studies. Then, the researcher filtered the publications to only full text access articles that were written in English only. Finally, this study obtained a many publication. The findings of this paper address many important points such as in this study is recommended to apply behavior recognition with password for improving authentication layer performance in cloud computing. This study finds most of current studies neglected the present of human factor in password-based authentication, and learnability in password-based authentication is highly weak. Despite this, very few studies have adopted the behavior recognition with password in public cloud

    Orange peel magnetic activated carbon for removal of acid orange 7 dye from water

    Magnetic activated carbon resources with a remarkably high specific surface area have been successfully synthesized using orange peels as the precursor and ZnCl2 as the activating agent. The impregnation ratio was set at 0.5, while the pyrolysis temperature spanned from 700 to 900 °C. This comprehensive study delved into the influence of activation temperatures on the resultant pore morphology and specific surface area. Optimal conditions were discerned, leading to a magnetic activated carbon material exhibiting an impressive specific surface area at 700 °C. The Brunauer–Emmett–Teller surface area reached 155.09 m2/g, accompanied by a total pore volume of 0.1768 cm3/g, and a mean pore diameter of 4.5604 nm. The material displayed noteworthy properties, with saturation magnetization (Ms) reaching 17.28 emu/g, remanence (Mr) at 0.29 emu/g, and coercivity (Hc) of 13.71 G. Additionally, the composite demonstrated super-paramagnetic behaviour at room temperature, facilitating its rapid collection within 5 s through an external magnetic field. Factors such as absorbent dose, initial concentration of the adsorbate, contact time, and pH were systematically examined. The adsorption behaviour for acid orange 7 (AO7) was found to adhere to the Temkin isotherm models (R2 = 0.997). The Langmuir isotherm model suggested a monolayer adsorption, and the calculated maximum monolayer capacity (Qm) was 357.14 mg/g, derived from the linear solvation of the Langmuir model using 0.75 g/L as an adsorbent dose and 150–500 mg/L as AO7 dye concentrations. The pseudo-second order model proved to be the best fit for the experimental data of AO7 dye adsorption, with a high coefficient of determination (R2) ranging from 0.999 to 1.000, outperforming other kinetic models

The Open Conversations section is a new format for Isis. “Diversifying the Discipline or Disciplining Diversity?” is a conversation among seven scholars that has been edited by Projit Mukharji and myself, with some of our own thoughts contributed to frame and introduce the various themes and threads that emerged in these exchanges. Each contributor was asked to respond to a set of questions about a proposed plan from the Editorial Board of Isis to collect demographic information about those who submit articles to the journal. After the initial round, the contributors were all asked to respond to at least two other pieces in a follow-up reflection. Projit and I then wove all these together into this set of exchanges. These are our seven contributors

    Primary Care Physicians’ Knowledge, Attitude, and Potential Referral Barriers towards Bariatric Surgery: A Northern Saudi Study

    Introduction: Bariatric surgery is the most effective procedure for sustained weight loss and control of obesity-associated comorbidities among morbidly obese patients. Successful bariatric surgery depends on a multidisciplinary approach involving all healthcare workers, including the primary care physicians, from the referral of patients to long-term follow-up. The present study assessed the knowledge, attitude, and potential referral barriers of primary care physicians to bariatric surgery and associated sociodemographic factors. Materials and methods: The present analytical cross-sectional study was conducted among 280 randomly selected primary care physicians using a standard and validated data collection tool. We performed an independent t-test and one-way ANOVA to find the association between sociodemographic characteristics and knowledge, attitude, and referral barrier scores. Furthermore, multilinear regression analysis was executed to determine the association among knowledge, attitude, and barriers. Results: The current study found that 52.9%, 19.3%, and 59.3% had a low score in the knowledge, attitude, and barriers categories. The attitude scores were significantly associated with the education status (p = 0.005) and current position at primary health centers (p = 0.012), and the referral barriers score was significantly associated with the work experience duration (p = 0.004). We found a positive relationship between knowledge and attitude (regression coefficient (β) [95% CI]:0.389 [0.154 to 0.585], p = 0.001) and a negative relationship between knowledge and referral barriers (β [95% CI]: −0.291 [−0.127 to −0.058], p = 0.007). Conclusions: Our survey findings suggest that a lack of knowledge regarding bariatric surgery led to several concerns and referral barriers among the physicians. Therefore, the recommendation is to improve the primary care physicians’ knowledge through continuing medical education, symposium, and other suitable training methods with a special focus on obesity care in the curriculum. Furthermore, a mixed-method survey involving other provinces of the KSA is warranted to formulate the region-specific training needs

    Influence of Conventional Polymer, Hybrid Polymer and Zinc Phosphate Luting Agents on the Bond Strength of Customized Zirconia Post in Premolars—An In-Vitro Evaluation

    The aim was to identify the influence of conventional polymeric resin based cement (RC), hybrid polymer modified glass ionomer (RMGIC) and Zinc phosphate cement (ZPC) on the pull out strength of the customized zirconia post in premolars. Access cavity and root canals were performed in sixty premolar teeth with the standardized crown down technique (ProTaper Universal, Dentsply). Post space impressions were scanned, and the pre-sintered Zenostar Zr Translucent blanks (Weiland Dental, Pforzheim) were milled with the Opera-system to form the post. All prepared specimens were divided equally in three groups based on the cement type employed for luting as follows: group A: ZPC; group B (GC Fuji PLUS Capsule): RMGIC; group C (and RC (3M RelyX ARC). Ten specimens in each group were thermocycled (TC) at 5 and 55 °C in distilled water baths (40,000 cycles). Pull out bond strength was assessed using a universal testing machine at 0.5 mm/min. The means and standard deviations were compared using ANOVA and Tukey Kramer multiple comparisons tests. A significant difference among the cement groups as well as between TC and non-thermocycled (NTC) groups (p < 0.05) was observed. The highest tensile stress was demonstrated among group C (Resin, 69.89 ± 4.81 (NTC), 64.06 ± 4.36 (TC)) with the least in group A, (zinc phosphate, 43.66 ± 5.02 (NTC), 37.70 ± 5.10 (TC)) for both groups. Group A presented with 100% adhesive bond failures, followed by 80% in group C and 70% in group B, respectively. A similar outcome was observed in the TC group for the cement; however, unlike the NTC group, the TC group showed more cohesive failures compared to the NTC mixed failure. Dual cure polymer based cement demonstrated higher bond strength and efficient adhesive bonding of the customized Zr post with root dentine compared to zinc phosphate (non-polymeric) and RMGIC (hybrid polymer).
