2,6-DiaminoÂpyridinium bisÂ(4-hydroxyÂpyridine-2,6-dicarboxylÂato-κ3 O 2,N,O 6)ferrate(III) dihydrate
The reaction of iron(II) sulfate heptaÂhydrate with the proton-transfer compound (pydaH)(hypydcH) (pyda = pyridine-2,6-diamine; hypydcH2 = 4-hydroxyÂpyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid) in an aqueous solution led to the formation of the title compound, (C5H8N3)[Fe(C7H3NO5)2]·2H2O. The anion is a six-coordinated complex with a distorted octaÂhedral geometry around the FeIII atom. Extensive interÂmolecular O—H⋯O, N—H⋯O and C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds, involving the complex anion, (pydaH)+ counter-ion and two uncoordinated water molÂecules, and π–π [centroid-to-centroid distance 3.323 (11) Å] and C—O⋯π [O–centroid distance 3.150 (15) Å] interÂactions connect the various components into a supraÂmolecular structure
Poly[ethylÂenediaminium [di-μ-aqua-(μ6-benzene-1,2,4,5-tetraÂcarboxylÂato-κ10 O 1,O 1′:O 2,O 2′:O 2′:O 4,O 4′:O 5:O 5,O 5′)dithallium(I)]]
The title compound, {(C2H10N2)[Tl2(C10H2O8)(H2O)2)]}n, was prepared using (enH2)2(btc)·2H2O and thallium(I) nitrate (en = ethylÂenediamine and btcH4 = benzene-1,2,4,5-tetraÂcarboxylic acid). The enH2 cation and btc ligand are each located on an inversion centre. The TlI atom is seven-coordinated by three btc ligands and two water molÂecules in an irregular geometry due to the stereochemically active lone pair on the Tl centre. The water molÂecule and btc ligand are bonded to the Tl atoms in μ- and μ6-forms, respectively, leading to a three-dimensional structure. The crystal structure involves O—H⋯O, N—H⋯O and C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds, and also a Tl⋯π interÂaction of 3.537 (1) Å
Hemipiperazinediium bisÂ(pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylÂato-κ3 O,N,O′)gallate(III) pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid dihydrate
The asymmetric unit of the title compound, (C4H12N2)0.5[Ga(pydc)2]·pydcH2·2H2O, where pydcH2 is pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid, C7H5NO4, contains one half of a centrosymmetric piperazinediium dication, one anion, one uncoordÂinated pydcH2 molÂecule and two uncoordinated water molÂecules, one of which is disordered over two sites in a 1:1 ratio. In the anion, the GaIII ion is coordinated by four O atoms [Ga—O = 1.9706 (16)–2.0494 (15) Å] and two N atoms [Ga—N = 1.9660 (18) and 1.9709 (17) Å] from two pydc ligands in a distorted octaÂhedral geometry. The crystal structure exhibits interÂmolecular O—H⋯O, N—H⋯O and O—H⋯N hydrogen bonds and π–π interÂactions [centroid–centroid distances of 3.5359 (13) and 3.6550 (14) Å]

From Ecstasy to Agony and Back: Mathematics, Motherhood, and Postpartum Depression
In this essay I address some challenges I had to overcome as a non-tenured mathematician mother married to another mathematician. While some of these challenges, such as lack of sleep, were predictable, many were not. For example, I was not aware that just getting pregnant would be a difficulty. Also, I did not know how paralyzing postpartum depression could be. Looking back on these experiences after a few years, I have a new perspective. I share my experiences, feelings about them, and some of the ways I figured out to overcome the hardships I experienced
Seeing the Global Physical Context of Wholeness
Kennedy Union 311
The pursuit of the whole person through models like 3H (head, heart, hands) my miss a critical physical aspect within which the wholeness develops and exists. One such aspect originates at the earth’s two versions. Humankind has a good understanding of one version and little if any of the second. Such lack of knowledge would adversely affect the development and maintenance of human wholeness. This proposal considers a workshop at the 2020 Learning and Teaching Forum to address this knowledge deficiency in University of Dayton’s community through participative knowledge processing and systems thinking

The Political Affiliations of Iranian Newspapers
The complexities of the Iranian media ecosystem become most apparent during the election season when the heightened political climate leads to intensified scrutiny to and reliance on print media. In the absence of political parties, the press serves as a valuable tool during election campaigns, and this report highlights the shifting allegiances in national publications with a focus on politics, economics, and society. Newspapers are divided by faction (Pro-government Conservative, Traditional Conservative, Critical-of-the-Government Conservative, Affiliated with Reformists, and Reformist), and labeled with their 2009 political affiliations, their expected affiliations for 2013, and their stance on reformists. Once the Guardian Council releases the final vetted candidates on May 24th, these newspapers will become active in supporting their preferred factions or candidates
