3D Data Processing Toward Maintenance and Conservation. The Integrated Digital Documentation of Casa de Vidro
During the last decade, 3D integrated surveys and BIM modelling procedures have greatly improved the overall knowledge on some Brazilian Modernist buildings. In this framework, the Casa de Vidro 3D survey carried out by DIAPReM centre at Ferrara University, beside the important outputs, analysis and researches achieved from the point cloud database processing, was also useful to test several awareness increasing activities in cooperation with local stakeholders.
The first digital documentation test of the Casa de Vidro allowed verifying the feasibility of a full survey on the building towards the restoration and possible placement of new architectures into the garden as an archive-museum of the Lina Bo and P.M. Bardi Foundation. Later, full 3D integrated survey and diagnostic analysis were carried out to achieve the total digital documentation of the house sponsored by the Keeping it Modern initiative of Getty Foundation (Los Angeles). Following its characteristics, the survey had to take into consideration the different architectural features, up to the relationship of architecture and nature.
These 3D documentation activities and the point cloud processing allowed several analysis in a multidisciplinary framework

Response of geranium inoculated with different isolates of Ralstonia solanacearum.
The objective of this work was to preliminarily text the response of one geranium genotype after challenging it with 10 strains of Rs from the Embrapa's collection, selected by their diversity based on their hosts of origin, state, biovar and date of the isolation.Resumo 148
The implementation of problem based learning styles to teach the Coach-Athlete relationship to undergraduate Sport and Exercise Science students
This study explored problem based learning (PBL) styles and it’s suitability to improve the learning experience of level 6 (third year) Sport and Exercise Science undergraduate university students compared to a traditional style of lecturing when teaching the Coach-Athlete relationship. Sixty-four (Mage years=23.47, SD=3.44) students attended a lecture on the topic of the Coach-Athlete relationship. A PBL task was implemented using images of a coach showing a hostile approach and another image of a coach using a friendly approach. These images were used to initiate discussions about the potential problems the scenarios could elicit. At the end of the session student’s completed a questionnaire regarding their thoughts about the session’s ability to aid learning and whether they felt it was preferred over a traditional style of lecturing as well as their enjoyment of the session. Eighty one percent (n=52) of participants found the task helpful to aid learning, 66% (n=42) of participants indicated that using this style of lecture could aid learning more than a traditional approach and 73% (n=47) of participants enjoyed the task. It may be useful to use PBL styles in lecture sessions to engage students within the topic area of the Coach-Athlete relationship. PBL could also be used to help develop transferable skills for those students who want to pursue a career in coaching

Sensitivity of TDS-1 GNSS-R reflectivity to soil moisture: global and regional differences and impact of different spatial scales
The potential of Global Navigation Satellite Systems-Reflectometry (GNSS-R) techniques to estimate land surface parameters such as soil moisture (SM) is experimentally studied using 2014-2017 global data from the UK TechDemoSat-1 (TDS-1) mission. The approach is based on the analysis of the sensitivity to SM of different observables extracted from the Delay Doppler Maps (DDM) computed by the Space GNSS Receiver-Remote Sensing Instrument (SGR-ReSI) instrument using the L1 (1575.42 MHz) left-hand circularly-polarized (LHCP) reflected signals emitted by the Global Positioning System (GPS) navigation satellites. The sensitivity of different GNSS-R observables to SM and its dependence on the incidence angle is analyzed. It is found that the sensitivity of the calibrated GNSS-R reflectivity to surface soil moisture is ~ 0.09 dB/% up to 30° incidence angle, and it decreases with increasing incidence angles, although differences are found depending on the spatial scale used for the ground-truth, and the region. The sensitivity to subsurface soil moisture has been also analyzed using a network of subsurface probes and hydrological models, apparently showing some dependence, but so far results are not conclusive. © 2018 by the authors.Peer ReviewedPostprint (published version
