Summary. - The Pampas deer was studied between 1990 and 1992, at the Ecological Reserve of the Brazil Institute for Geography and Statistics (IBGE), Federal District, Brazil. Activity, home-range, movement pattern and habitat use were aspectes investigated for this species. Radio-tracking data were obtined for two individuals, one buck and one doe. The home-range of the buck varied between 1.2 and 6.3 km2 per month, and totalized 9.9 km2 in nine months. For the doe, it ranged between 0.8 and 3.5 km2 per month and 5.9 km2 in sex months. The home-ranges were larger during the west season than dry season dry season. The daily and nightly activity were equilibrated without clear peaks of activity during 24 hours. The deer did nt show preferences for any vegetation type. We also discuss the major problems to the conservation of this species in the Cerrado biome.614487495Bianchini, J.J., Peres, J.C.L., El comportamiento de Ozotoceros bezoarticus celer Cabrera en cautiverio (1972) Acta Zoologica Lilloana, 39, pp. 5-16Carvalho, C.T., O Veado-Campeiro.
