Consumption of Energy Using Demand-Side Management
Demand side management has been usually seen as techniques for diminishing apex control ask for with the objective that utilities can concede amassing further point of confinement. Frankly, by diminishing the general load on a power compose, DSM has distinctive important effects, including directing electrical structure emergencies, decreasing the amount of energy blackouts and extending system steadfastness. Possible favorable circumstances can moreover consolidate diminishing dependence on exorbitant imports of fuel, decreasing imperativeness expenses, and reducing perilous transmissions to the earth. Finally, DSM has an essential part to play in yielding high interests in time, transmission and movement frameworks. Therefore DSM connected to power frameworks gives noteworthy financial, unwavering quality and ecological advantages. At the point when DSM is connected to the utilization of vitality by and large not simply power but rather energizes of assorted types it can likewise convey noteworthy money saving advantages to vitality clients (and comparing diminishments in emanations). Open doors for lessening vitality request are various in all parts and many are minimal effort, or even no cost, things that most endeavors or people could embrace for the time being, if great vitality administration is honed
Beneficiation studies on beach placer sample for steel making industries
Beneficiation studies were carried out on the Talashil beach placer sample of South Maharastra Coast, India. The sample contains magnetite, ilmenite, rutile, hematite, goethite and chromite as opaque minerals in the sample. The total heavy minerals fraction reaches 53.8 % by weight whereas the total magnetic minerals are 56.9%. It is observed that the 2nd stage DHIMS magnetic fraction contains 65.2 % Fe2O3 with an over all yield of 37.8 % and a 86 % recovery from a containing 26.8 % Fe2O3 feed. This product can be used in the pellet feed for steel making after suitable blending with high-grade iron ore fines
Monitoring vegetation dynamics using multi-temporal Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and Enhanced Vegetation Index (EVI) images of Tamil Nadu
Vegetation indices serve as an essential tool in monitoring variations in vegetation. The vegetation indices used often, viz., normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) and enhanced vegetation index (EVI) were computed from MODIS vegetation index products. The present study aimed to monitor vegetation's seasonal dynamics by using time series NDVI and EVI indices in Tamil Nadu from 2011 to 2021. Two products characterize the global range of vegetation states and processes more effectively. The data sources were processed and the values of NDVI and EVI were extracted using ArcGIS software. There was a significant difference in vegetation intensity and status of vegetation over time, with NDVI having a larger value than EVI, indicating that biomass intensity varies over time in Tamil Nadu. Among the land cover classes, the deciduous forest showed the highest mean values for NDVI (0.83) and EVI (0.38), followed by cropland mean values of NDVI (0.71) and EVI (0.31) and the lowest NDVI (0.68) and EVI (0.29) was recorded in the scrubland. The study demonstrated that vegetation indices extracted from MODIS offered valuable information on vegetation status and condition at a short temporal time period
Experimental evidence for fast cluster formation of chain oxygen vacancies in YBa2Cu3O7-d being at the origin of the fishtail anomaly
We report on three different and complementary measurements, namely
magnetisation measurements, positron annihilation spectroscopy and NMR
measurements, which give evidence that the formation of oxygen vacancy clusters
is on the origin of the fishtail anomaly in YBa2Cu3O7-d. While in the case of
YBa2Cu3O7.0 the anomaly is intrinsically absent, it can be suppressed in the
optimally doped state where vacancies are present. We therefore conclude that
the single vacancies or point defects can not be responsible for this anomaly
but that clusters of oxygen vacancies are on its origin.Comment: 10 pages, 4 figures, submitted to PR
Dynamic recruitment of microRNAs to their mRNA targets in the regenerating liver.
BACKGROUND: Validation of physiologic miRNA targets has been met with significant challenges. We employed HITS-CLIP to identify which miRNAs participate in liver regeneration, and to identify their target mRNAs.
RESULTS: miRNA recruitment to the RISC is highly dynamic, changing more than five-fold for several miRNAs. miRNA recruitment to the RISC did not correlate with changes in overall miRNA expression for these dynamically recruited miRNAs, emphasizing the necessity to determine miRNA recruitment to the RISC in order to fully assess the impact of miRNA regulation. We incorporated RNA-seq quantification of total mRNA to identify expression-weighted Ago footprints, and developed a microRNA regulatory element (MRE) prediction algorithm that represents a greater than 20-fold refinement over computational methods alone. These high confidence MREs were used to generate candidate \u27competing endogenous RNA\u27 (ceRNA) networks.
CONCLUSION: HITS-CLIP analysis provide novel insights into global miRNA:mRNA relationships in the regenerating liver
Hole depletion and localization due to disorder in insulating PrBa2Cu3O7-d: a Compton scattering study
The (mostly) insulating behaviour of PrBa2Cu3O7-d is still unexplained and
even more interesting since the occasional appearance of superconductivity in
this material. Since YBa2Cu3O7-d is nominally iso-structural and always
superconducting, we have measured the electron momentum density in these
materials. We find that they differ in a striking way, the wavefunction
coherence length in PrBa2Cu3O7-d being strongly suppressed. We conclude that Pr
on Ba-site substitution disorder is responsible for the metal-insulator
transition. Preliminary efforts at growth with a method to prevent disorder
yield 90K superconducting PrBa2Cu3O7-d crystallites.Comment: 4 pages, 3 figures, revised version submitted to PR
