Reduction of Peak to Average Power Ratio using Selective Mapping Technique of an OFDM Signal: An Analysis
Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is a optimistic and very popular modulation technique in multicarrier domain which is quite promising regarding the issues of interferences present in next generation mobile communication systems. It deployed in the area where high data rate and low latency required while efficiency will be as better as possible. The critical problem in OFDM system is maintaining low PAPR (peak to average power ratio) because it reduces the performance of system. There are several techniques which are used to overcome problem of high PAPR in OFDM modulation system. One of the techniques is Selective Mapping (SLM) which comes in distortion less criteria. In this paper analysis of PAPR reduction of an OFDM system for distortion less transmission criterion is shown. We have also used some mathematical equations to calculate and simulate its performance. It’s also shown that SLM method grants the user a better PAPR reduction while having high complex circuitry
Polarization Sensitive Optical Coherence Tomography for Blood Glucose Monitoring in Human Subjects
A device based on Polarization sensitive optical coherence tomography is
developed to monitor blood glucose levels in human subjects. The device was
initially tested with tissue phantom. The measurements with human subjects for
various glucose concentration levels are found to be linearly dependent on the
degree of circular polarization obtainable from the PS-OCT.Comment: 12 pages, 5 figure
GraphSE: An Encrypted Graph Database for Privacy-Preserving Social Search
In this paper, we propose GraphSE, an encrypted graph database for online
social network services to address massive data breaches. GraphSE preserves
the functionality of social search, a key enabler for quality social network
services, where social search queries are conducted on a large-scale social
graph and meanwhile perform set and computational operations on user-generated
contents. To enable efficient privacy-preserving social search, GraphSE
provides an encrypted structural data model to facilitate parallel and
encrypted graph data access. It is also designed to decompose complex social
search queries into atomic operations and realise them via interchangeable
protocols in a fast and scalable manner. We build GraphSE with various
queries supported in the Facebook graph search engine and implement a
full-fledged prototype. Extensive evaluations on Azure Cloud demonstrate that
GraphSE is practical for querying a social graph with a million of users.Comment: This is the full version of our AsiaCCS paper "GraphSE: An
Encrypted Graph Database for Privacy-Preserving Social Search". It includes

SUSY darkmatter at the LHC - 7 TeV
We have analysed the early LHC signatures of the minimal supergravity
(mSUGRA) model. Our emphasis is on the 7 - run corresponding to an
integrated luminosity of although we have also discussed
briefly the prospects at LHC-10 . We focus on the parameter space yielding
relatively light squark and gluinos consistent with the darkmatter relic
density data and the LEP bounds on the lightest Higgs scalar mass. This
parameter space is only allowed for non-vanishing trilinear soft breaking term
. A significant region of the parameter space with large to moderate
negative values of consistent with the stability of the scalar potential
and relic density production via neutralino annihilation and/or neutralino -
stau coannihilation yields observable signal via the jets + missing transverse
energy channel. The one lepton + jets + missing energy signal is also viable
over a smaller but non-trivial parameter space. The ratio of the size of the
two signals - free from theoretical uncertainties - may distinguish between
different relic density generating mechanisms. With efficient -tagging
facilities at 7 the discriminating power may increase significantly. We
also comment on other dark matter relic density allowed mSUGRA scenarios and
variants there of in the context of LHC-7 .Comment: Brief comments on signals at 7 TeV in the Higgs funnel region of
mSUGRA, models with non universal scalar and gaugino masses have been added.
