Improved Enhanced Version Of Solar Photo Voltaic System

The photovoltaic (PV) panel depends on irradiance, temperature and load. The power produced in this system is not optimal. Hence, maximum power is extracted from PV array. MPPT varies the electrical operating point of the PV modul es which delivers maximum available power. A new model designed that uses open circuit voltage and short circuit current, sampled from a reference PV Panel. Using these measurements the maximum power is been tracked from main panel without breaking the power transferred to load. A DC-DC converter was used to transfer maximum powernbsp between source and load

Settlement Analysis of Circular Footings on Layered Soil Systems

Many studies are available on the settlement analysis of footings on a homogeneous soil deposit underlain by a rigid base. However, the soil profile is seldom homogenous and typically a layered soil system is encountered in practice. The present study deals with the settlement profiles of soil underneath a circular footing of radius equal to a, and resting on a finite two-layered soil system with thicknesses equal to H1 and H2. The deformation moduli and Poisson’s ratios of the two layers are E1, υ1, and E2, υ2. The settlement profiles are proposed for varying H1/a and H2/a ratios (H1/a= 0.2, 0.5, 1, 2, 4 and 6, and H2/a= 1, 2, 4 and 6). The moduli ratio E1/E2is varied as 0.01, 0.05, 0.1, 0.5, 1, 2, 5 and 20. The extent of settlement due to load is also proposed from the surface settlement profile which can help in determining the influence of a footing on the neighboring footing or structure. The analysis is carried out using PLAXIS 2D vAE. In addition, the settlement influence factors are proposed for the above mentioned ratios to estimate the maximum settlement of the footing on a layered system. The results are also compared with the settlement measured in a building on a layered system in Adelaide, Southern Australia, and the results are found to be comparable

Evaluation of Unique Mango Accessions for whole-Fruit Pickle

Studies conducted to evaluate the suitability of nineteen unique mango accessions for preparation of tender whole mango pickles revealed that these varieties were characterized by their acidic taste and rich raw mango flavour, which are most prefered for pickle production. The physical and quality parameters viz. fruit shape, weight, raw mango flavour, firmness, titrable acidity, latex flow, pH, dry matter and vitamin C which are important in pickle quality, showed wide variations among different varieties. Based on the sensory evaluation of whole immature green mango pickle prepared by standard fermentation and curing method, the accessions viz., Kashimidi, Isagoor Appe, Malange, Appemidi, Dantimamidi and Jeerige were considered to be most suitable for preparation of tender mango pickles

Design of an Intelligent Controller for Armature Controlled DC Motor using Fuzzy Logic Technique

    Get PDF
This paper presents a fuzzy control approach to the speed control of DC shunt motor using armature control. This paper presents concept of development of conventional controller and the design of a fuzzy logic controller applicable to DC Motor Speed Control System (MSCS) with high performance of the FL controller. Since armature voltage supply has a major influence in controlling speed, therefore one of the inputs to the proposed FL Controller will be actual armature voltage supply (Va) while another input will be error (e) in speed. The transfer function model of the DC shunt motor has been obtained via experimentation and calculations and simulated and then as per requirement and specification, the proposed fuzzy logic controller has been designed and simulated using Fuzzy Logic and Simulink Toolboxes of MATLAB 7. Results show robustness against changing loading conditions
