Forward K+ production in subthreshold pA collisions at 1.0 GeV

K+ meson production in pA (A = C, Cu, Au) collisions has been studied using the ANKE spectrometer at an internal target position of the COSY-Juelich accelerator. The complete momentum spectrum of kaons emitted at forward angles, theta < 12 degrees, has been measured for a beam energy of T(p)=1.0 GeV, far below the free NN threshold of 1.58 GeV. The spectrum does not follow a thermal distribution at low kaon momenta and the larger momenta reflect a high degree of collectivity in the target nucleus.Comment: 4 pages, 3 figure

Analysis of the kinematics of the upper limb during dart throw

Technika rzutu odgrywa niebagatelną rolę w większości dyscyplin sportowych, związanych z rzutem przedmiotu do celu. W artykule przedstawiono metodykę badań kinematyki kończyny górnej, podczas rzutu lotką dart. Pomiary zostały przeprowadzone za pomocą elektrogoniometrów Noraxon. Wyniki pomiarów wykorzystano do wyznaczenia zakresów ruchu w stawach kończyny górnej oraz oceny kinematyki rzutu na celność.Throwing technique plays a major role in most sports, associated with the projection of the object to the target. The article presents a study on the kinematics of the upper limb during dart throw people, that do not have previously more contact with that sport and summarizes registered mobility of joints of the upper limb, with the general, theoretical guidelines to optimize the obtained results

The research of range of movement in joints of upper limb by electrogoniometers

Artykuł przedstawia przeprowadzone badania zakresu ruchomości stawów kończyny górnej za pomocą elektrogoniometrów. Przedstawione wyniki badań z wykorzystaniem elektrogoniometrów elastycznych firmy Biometrics Ltd miały na celu wyznaczenie minimalnego i maksymalnego kąta oraz zakresu ruchomości kątowej w trzech głównych stawach kończyny górnej. Badania składały się z serii pięciu pomiarów dla ruchów zginania i prostowania oraz odwodzenia i przywodzenia stawów barkowego i nadgarstkowego oraz dla ruchu zginania i prostowania stawu łokciowego.The article shows the researches of range of movement in joints of upper limb made with electrogoniometers. The researches were made for typical moves in shoulder, elbow and wrist joint. The results show the minimum and maksimum angle and the range of motion in three main joints of upper limb

Biomechanical analysis of climbing the stairs and stability of patients having neurological disorders

W pracy przedstawiono biomechaniczną analizę wchodzenia po schodach oraz badania stabilograficzne pacjentów ze schorzeniami neurologicznymi. W badaniach analizowano kinematykę oraz wartości sił reakcji podłoża podczas wchodzenia po schodach. Wielkości kinematyczne wyznaczono za pomocą systemu APAS. Pomiarów sił reakcji podłoża dokonano za pomocą platform dynamometrycznych firmy Kistler. Badania doświadczalne objęły grupę 8 osób z zaburzeniami neurologicznymi. Badania zrealizowano w Górnośląskim Centrum Rehabilitacji w Reptach.Biomechanical analysis of climbing the stairs and stability of patients having neurological disorders is presented in the paper. Analysis of kinematics and ground reactions was carried out for climbing the stairs. Kinematic quantities were determined by means of the APAS system. Ground reactions were measured with the use of the Kistler platform. Eight patients took part in the research. All measurements were carried out in the Silesian Center of Rehabilitation “Repty”
