Pengaruh Kepemimpinan Dan K3 Terhadap Kinerja Karyawan Bagian Teknik PT. Pln (Persero) Upj-semarang
Engineering division of PT. PLN (Persero) UPJ of Central Semarang is a company with responsibility towards public services in the field of electricity. The achievement of good public services is determined by employees' abilities to do their jobs. Currently, Engineering division of PT. PLN (Persero) UPJ of Central Semarang is facing some problems related to expected performance targets which have not been achieved. It is proven by the level of transformer damage which breaks the tolerance limit. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine the effect of Kepemimpinan, Kesehatan dan Keselamatan Kerja (K3) – Leadership, Health and Safety – on Employee Performance of Engineering division of PT. PLN (Persero) UPJ of Central Semarang. This study is an explanatory research. The population in this study were the employees of Engineering division of PT. PLN (Persero) UPJ of Central Semarang consisting of 50 respondents as the samples. The sampling technique used was census. The results show that the variables of leadership and K3 separately or together affect the performances of employees. Based on assessment results from each employee, employee performance as an individual is in a very good category. Meanwhile, based on assessment results from leaders, the employee performance as a group level or an engineering division performance has not been able to achieve expected performance targets. Thus, there are some differences of employee performance assessment results from the leaders and from the individual. Individual performance does not automatically create a group or division performance. Therefore, leaders' roles are needed to improve employees' understanding on performance standards which are expected by the company. Leadership and K3 program variables are the variables which can affect the employee performance, so that the roles of leaders and K3 program need to be continuously developed
Sensitivity of Pigment Content of Banana and Orchid Tissue Culture Exposed to Extremely Low Frequency Electromagnetic Fiel
Natural exposure of extremely low frequency electromagnetic field (ELF-EMF) occurs in the environment and acts as one of the abiotic factors that affect the growth and development of organisms. This study was conducted to determine the effect of ELF-EMF on the tissue cultured banana and slipper orchid chlorophyll content as one of the indicators in measuring plant photosynthetic capacity. Four days old banana (Musa sp. cv. Berangan) corm and seven days old slipper orchid (Paphiopedilum rothschildianum) cultures were exposed to 6 and 12 mT ELF-EMF generated by controllable ELF-EMF built up machine for 0.5, 1, 2 and 4 hours. After exposure, the banana and orchid cultures were incubated at 25° C for 8 and 16 weeks, respectively. The results showed that the ELF-EMF exposure had different effects on banana and slipper orchid cultures though both plant species belong to monocotyledon. The highest increase in chlorophyll content on banana was resulted by the high intensity and long duration of ELF-EMF exposure (12 mT for 4 hours), whereas on slipper orchid the modest and short duration of ELF-EMF exposure produced the most excessive chlorophyll content. Different ELF-EMF exposures (12 mT for 4 hours and 6 mT for 30 minutes) had potential to be applied on each plant to improve in vitro plant (banana and slipper orchid, respectively) growth. The increased chlorophyll and carotene/xanthophyll content on banana indicated that the banana was more tolerant to ELF-EMF exposure compared to slipper orchid

FUMIRA semarang is a company engaged in the field of manufacture and strives to provide the best service for customers, and therefore requires human resources with good performance. This type of research is explanatory research, that explain the relation between one variable with other variable. Amount of sample is 55 respondents, they are the employees of PT. FUMIRA Semarang. Sample technique used proportional random sampling. Data collection used questionnaire with likert measurement scale. Data analysis method used validity and reability test, correlation coefficient (R), simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, coefficicient of determination (R2), F test, and t test used SPSS program version 22.0.Suggestions can be submitted is PT. FUMIRA semarang needs to be able to maintain employee commitments and improve employees' understanding of the company's culture

Leadership and standard operating procedures are important factors for the achievement of employee performance. Hotel Crowne Plaza Semarang is a company engaged in the field of hospitality and strives to provide the best service, and therefore requires human resources with good performance.This type of research is explanatory research, with a population of 34 permanent employees in the department Housekeeping Hotel Crowne Plaza Semarang and everything sampled by census. Data were collected through questionnaires with Likert scale measurement. Data analysis method used is correlation, simple and multiple linear regression using SPSS 20.0.This study concluded SOP leadership and influence on employee performance partially or simultaneously. Variable leadership has a greater influence than the SOP.Suggestions can be submitted is the Hotel Crowne Plaza Semarang especially the Housekeeping department needs to update our SOP and leadership are implemented
Identifikasi Molekuler dan Analisis Kekerabatan Aksesi Nenas Menggunakan Marka RAPD Menunjang Perakitan Varietas Unggul Baru
(Molecular Identification and Relationships Among Several Pineapple Accessions Using RAPD Marker to Support the Assembling New Varieties)Produksi dan produktivitas nenas dapat ditingkatkan antara lain melalui penggunaan varietas unggul. Dalam perakitan varietas, dibutuhkan informasi hubungan kekerabatan antartetuanya agar diperoleh efek heterosis yang tinggi melalui kegiatan identifikasi secara molekuler. Penelitian bertujuan (1) mengetahui tingkat polimorfisme primer yang digunakan,(2) mengidentifikasi fragmen DNA spesifik yang membedakan individu atau kelompok individu nenas, dan (3) mengetahui hubungan kekerabatan antarspesies dan aksesi nenas. Penelitian dilaksanakan mulai bulan Mei–Desember 2014 di Laboratorium Uji Mutu Benih dan Molekuler Balai Penelitian Tanaman Buah Tropika. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 19 aksesi dari empat spesies nenas (Ananas comosus, A. bracteatus, A. lucidus, dan A. nanus). Sebanyak 20 marka rapid amplified polymorphism DNA (RAPD) digunakan dalam analisis. Data diskor secara biner kemudian dianalisis menggunakan program NTSYSpc 2,1x. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa polimorfisme 20 primer yang diuji berkisar 33–100% dengan rata-rata 87%. Primer dengan tingkat polimorfisme 100%, yaitu RAPD3, OPA13, OPAV3, OPC12, OPC16, dan OPY15. Kelompok Cayenne dicirikan oleh marka RAPD1 ukuran1.000 base-pair (bp) dan OPAV3 700 bp. Kelompok Queen dapat diidentifikasikan oleh marka RAPD3 ukuran 700 bp, kelompok Spanish dengan marka RAPD2 dan RAPD3 ukuran 1.500 bp. Analisis kluster menunjukkan bahwa 19 aksesi yang diuji terpisah menjadi enam kelompok pada koefisien kesamaan genetik 0,75, yaitu kelompok Queen, Cayenne, Spanish, A. bracteatus, A. lucidus, dan A. nanus. Aksesi yang diuji mempunyai keragaman genetik yang luas dengan koefisien kesamaan genetik berkisar 0,41–0,85. Aksesi yang mempunyai kesamaan genetik tertinggi, yaitu antara N-73 dengan BB (0,85) dan terkecil, yaitu antara N-94 (A. nanus) dengan N-18 (Green Spanish) sebesar 0,41. Implikasi hasil penelitian adalah aksesi yang mempunyai kesamaan genetik tinggi salah satunya dapat dieliminasi untuk efisiensi dalam pengelolaan plasma nutfah, sedangkan aksesi-aksesi yang memiliki kesamaan genetik kecil, baik digunakan sebagai tetua persilangan agar diperoleh variabilitas genetik yang luas dan efek heterosis yang tinggi.KeywordsAnanas spp.; Identifikasi; Karakterisasi; Kekerabatan genetik; Molekuler
Pengaruh Activity, Interest, Opinion (Aio) Dan Persepsi Harga Terhadap Keputusan Menonton Film Di Bioskop E-plaza Semarang
This research was motivated by fact that there's a decline in consumers interest to watch movies in E-Plaza cinema since there's new competitor emerged in Semarang, affected by lifestyle and price perception factors. This research is aimed to test the influence of activity, interest, opinion (AIO), and price perception towards consumers' decision to watch movies at E-Plaza cinema Semarang. 100 people in Semarang were chosen as sample by non-probability sampling technique. Linear regression analysis and significance test were used to test the hypotheses using SPSS 17.0. The study results indicate that partially; activity has no influence towards consumer decision, whereas interest and opinion, in spite of having low effects, still has positive influence towards consumer's decision. Price perception, as the biggest influencer, has positive and significant influence towards consumers' decision. Simultaneously, activity, interest, opinion and price perception influences consumer's decision at 48,1%

Performance is the result of work that attained by people to implement their duties based on accomplishment, experience, sincerity and time. External factors that affect salesperson\u27s performance are standard operating procedures (SOP) and monitoring. This research aimed to find out the impression of SOP and monitoring to salesperson\u27s performance. The type of this research is explanatory research, by censussing 63 respondents. The analysis method using multiple regression analysis,korelasi,cross tabel and determinasi koefisien. Measurement scale using Likert Scale. It analyzed by linear test and significance teat that supported by SPSS 16.0.The results showed a positive and significant influence between standard operating procedures (SOP) and monitoring toward the satisfaction of salesperson\u27s performance partially, the influence of standard operating procedures (SOP) and monitoring for a combination toward salesperson\u27s performance
Pengaruh Kepemimpinan, Motivasi, Dan Disiplin Kerja Terhadap Kinerja Karyawan (Studi Pada Karyawan Perum Perumnas Kantor Regional V Semarang)
Every company needed human resources management to achieve success. Human resource management played an active role in improving performance of the employeethrough a number of variables that affect it, such as leadership, motivation, and workingdiscipline. Perum Perumnas Regional V Semarang was a public company engaged in the saleand development of national housing, but in fact there were still problem that cause adecrease in performance of the employee. So, the purpose in this study to identify and explainthe effect of leadership, motivation, and working discipline at Perum Perumnas RegionalOffice V Semarang.This type of research was explanatory. Data collection technique with interviews andquestionnaires against 62 respondents with saturated sampling technique. The analysistechnique used is quantitative and descriptive analysis using validity, reliability test, crosstabulation, correlation coefficient, coefficient of determination, simple and multipleregression analysis, as well as the significance test (t test and F test) with SPSS version 16.0for windows.The results and discussion, based on the categorization of leadership in company wasquite good, the work of each employee motivation was high, discipline of employee was highcategorization, and the performance of the employee at the company was quite well.Partially, leadership had positive and significant effect on performance of the employee, therelationship between the two variables was average with a correlation of (0.542), thecoefficient of determination of (28.2%), motivation had positive and significant effect on theperformance of regression coefficient, the relation between the two variables was high with acorrelation of ( 0.762), the coefficient of determination of (57.3%), working discipline hadpositive and significant effect on the performance of the regression coefficient, the relationbetween the two variables was high with a correlation of (0.760), the coefficient ofdetermination of (57%). Simultaneously leadership, motivation and working discipline hadpositive and significant effect on the performance of the regression coefficient Y = 1,877+0,124X1 + 0,410X2 + 0,372X3, the relationship of independent variables (X) and dependent(Y) was very strong with a correlation of (0.863), the coefficient of determination of (68.3%).The conclusion there was positive and significant influence between leadership,motivation, and working discipline on performance of the employee. The suggestion was thecompany need to pay attention to communication between leaders and employees in how toapproach, provide guidance and error correcting any work performed by employees, as wellas effort to improve employee work motivation by giving rewards and give a sanction againstemployees who violate the discipline of time (delay) firmly
Male and Female Students' Attitudes Toward English Vocabulary Mastery in Learning Speaking (a Survey Study at One of Ma Islamic Boarding School in Tasikmalaya)
This study aimed to explore the attitudes of Senior High School male and female students toward English vocabulary mastery in learning speaking. This study also investigated the factors influence students' attitudes toward English vocabulary mastery in learning speaking. Attitude is individual's response towards an object, inferred from individual's belief or opinion about it. (Gardner, 1985). The writer conducted the questionnaire to measure the students' attitudes toward English vocabulary mastery in learning speaking. The writer also interviewed a number of eleventh grade students to explore the factors that affect their attitudes toward English vocabulary mastery in learning speaking. The participants of this study consisted of 58 students of eleventh grade of one of MA Islamic Boarding School in Tasikmalaya. They were 25 male students and 33 female students. These students were purposively chosen. The results of the study showed that most of male and almost all of female students have positive attitude toward English vocabulary mastery in learning speaking. The results also indicated the factors influence their attitudes were their pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary knowledge, their habits speaking English in front of many people, their needs toward English and support from social environment. In conclusion, students' attitudes toward English vocabulary mastery in learning speaking is important. It helps students improving their English speaking skill. In addition, this study recommends the future research on the same topic can carried out by using other design in order to enrich the development of the theory of attitude
