Adélia Prado: uma poesia hieroglífica

Nesta tese defendo que a poesia de Adélia Prado é uma poesia hieroglífica, na linha do que a autora afirma em entrevista: “quando eu falo poesia, poema, é a pintura.” (Prado 2014). No primeiro capítulo, argumento que a relação que Prado traça entre o género pictórico e o género poético prende-se com o efeito que ambos produzem, a “concretude”. Neste capítulo ficará desde já evidente a presença da religião e de Deus nos poemas da autora. No segundo capítulo, circunscrevo a afinidade entre os dois géneros artísticos, ao fazer uma aproximação da obra poética de Prado a um tipo específico de pintura: a ropografia. No terceiro capítulo, ponho em evidência os limites dessa comparação, e também entre o género pictórico e o género poético dentro da própria conceção de Prado. Por fim, no último capítulo, descrevo a obra poética de Prado como hieroglífica, esse tipo de poesia que é pintura, e que estabelece também relação entre a escrita poética e o divino, num modo de acesso à eternidade.In this thesis I argue that Adélia Prado’s poetry is a hieroglyphic poetry, following the implications of what the author said in an interview: “quando eu falo poesia, poema, é a pintura.” (Prado 2014). In the first chapter, I argue that the relationship that Prado makes between the pictorial and the poetic genres is due to the fact that they produce a similar effect, they convey an experience of “concreteness”. In this chapter, the religious foundations of Prado’s poetry will also become evident. In the second chapter, I circumscribe the relationship between the two artistic genres by comparing the poetic work of Prado to the pictorial work of the genre of Rhopography. In the third chapter, I explore the limits of such comparison, and the limits of the relationship between the poetic and pictorial genre in Prado’s own conception. In the last chapter, I describe the poetic work of Prado as being a hieroglyphic poetry, a kind of poetry that is painting, and which establishes a relation between poetic writing and the divine, as a gateway to eternity
