We study the property of resonance by re-analyzing all experimental
data available, especially the cross section data. The final state
interactions of the , couple channel system are also taken
into account. A sizable coupling between the and is
found. The inclusion of the data indicates a small value of
eV.Comment: Refined analysis with new experimental data included. 13 page
Numerical Study on Shear Flow in Sliding Bearing with Partial Slip Surface
AbstractFor revealing the effects of slip on such characteristics as friction force and load-bearing capacity of sliding bearing, shear flows of a Newtonian fluid with a varying partial slip surface were computed using finite volume method. Calculation results showed that slip would decrease the friction force, which however was not affected by the location of slip region. The load-bearing capacity of sliding bearing closely depended on the location of slip region, especially the locations of the starting and end points of slip region. A well-designed partial slip surface can improve the load-bearing capacity, otherwise slip would cause lubrication failure
Characterization of high-oleic peanut natural mutants derived from an intersectional cross
As compared with its normal oleate counterpart, high oleate peanuts have better storage quality and several health benefits, and are therefore preferred by peanut shellers and consumers. High oleate has now become one of the main breeding objectives of peanuts. Thus far, over 50 high oleate peanut cultivars have been registered. Yet high oleate peanut breeding relies heavily on a limited number of high oleate genotypes. In this paper, we reported, for the first time, high peanut oleate natural mutants with large seeds derived from an intersectional cross, which were identified with near infra-red spectroscopy and confirmed by gas chromatography. Sequencing of FAD2 from the high-oleic hybrids along with their normal oleate parents indicated that a 448G >A mutation in FAD2A coupled with a 441_442ins A or G in FAD2B together caused high oleate phenotypes in these peanut hybrids.

A non-intrusive method for estimating binaural speech intelligibility from noise-corrupted signals captured by a pair of microphones
A non-intrusive method is introduced to predict binaural speech intelligibility in noise directly from signals captured using a pair of microphones. The approach combines signal processing techniques in blind source separation
and localisation, with an intrusive objective intelligibility measure (OIM). Therefore, unlike classic intrusive OIMs, this method does not require a clean reference speech signal and knowing the location of the sources to operate.
The proposed approach is able to estimate intelligibility in stationary and fluctuating noises, when the noise masker is presented as a point or diffused source, and is spatially separated from the target speech source on a horizontal
plane. The performance of the proposed method was evaluated in two rooms. When predicting subjective intelligibility measured as word recognition rate, this method showed reasonable predictive accuracy with correlation coefficients above 0.82, which is comparable to that of a reference intrusive OIM in most of the conditions. The proposed approach offers a solution for fast binaural intelligibility prediction, and therefore has practical potential
to be deployed in situations where on-site speech intelligibility is a concern
