    Model Transmisi Digital Optik Isyarat Analog Dengan Modulasi Delta

    This paper describes about making digital signal transmission model using delta modulation. Model that build consist of transmiter and reciver side. Main part of this model is integrator which changing series digital pulse into staircase signal with fixed step for every high and low pulse. Experiment result show that the model able to do modulation and demodulation process well and could show the slope overload condition. Integration step used is 0,4 volt with frequency sampling at 125 KH

    Performance of Various Codecs Related to Jitter Buffer Variation in VoIP Using SIP

    Briefly speaking, there are two popular Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) standards, H.323 and Session Initiation Protocol (SIP). The first standard was designed by ITU and has become the basis for the widespread implementation of VoIP systems although it was not specifically designed for it. The second standard, SIP, was proposed by IETF and it is designed to connect, communicate and exchange data with the internet applications. In order to deliver voice conversation through packet-switching networks, codecs (coder-decoder) should be implemented to compress and later decompress those packets. In this paper, some of compression algorithms will be compared and analyzed based on its performances in SIP based VoIP system. The codecs that was used in this experiment are SJ Lab GSM 6.10, SJ Lab iLBC-30ms, SJ Lab iLBC-20ms, Microsoft CCITT G.711 A-law and Microsoft CCITT G.711 u-law. These codecs are tested in terms of its ability to deal with jitter buffer variations. The result shows that SJ Lab iLBC-20ms gives the best performance in terms of jitter buffer variation on LAN environment while SJ Lab GSM 6.10 shows the highest performance on wireless networks testing

    Emulasi Aplikasi Pemantauan Ruangan Melalui Handphone Menggunakan Webcam

    This paper describes implementation of GPRS and Java 2 Micro Edition (J2ME) technology in room monitoring application via mobile phone and webcam. The webcam, which is connected to a server, captures picture periodically. A mobile phone, which has GPRS feature and supports J2ME technology, is used to access the picture. Experiments were done using Nokia 3300 emulator in a local area network. The transfer rate time for a 36 KB picture is 0.9 second.The experiment's result shows that the system is only suitable for low frame rate room monitoring

    Sistem Pendukung Keputusan Dalam Menentukan Dosen Pembimbing Skripsi

    Penunjukan dosen pembimbing skripsi di Program Studi Teknik Informatika Universitas Sam Ratulangi Manado saat ini dilakukan dengan cara menentukan secara langsung dengan mempertimbangkan kompetensi, fungsional dan pendidikan dari calon dosen pembimbing. Namun penunjukan dosen pembimbing skripsi secara langsung terkadang mengesampingkan jumlah bimbingan skripsi calon dosen pembimbing skripsi yang mengakibatkan kurang seimbang jumlah bimbingan yang dimiliki oleh setiap dosen dan kurang sesuai dengan tema skripsi yang diajukan oleh mahasiswa, maka dibutuhkan suatu sistem pendukung keputusan yang berguna untuk menentukan dosen pembimbing skripsi, agar supaya skripsi yang diajukan oleh mahasiswa sesuai dengan kompetensi calon dosen pembimbing skripsi dan dosen yang dipilih tidak terlalu banyak jumlah bimbingannya. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini yaitu membangun aplikasi sistem pendukung keputusan yang dapat menentukan dosen pembimbing skripsi. Metode pengambilan keputusan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah metode Simple Additive Weighting (SAW. Pengumpulan data dosen dilakukan dengan cara melakukan wawancara terhadap dosen yang masih aktif. Dari hasil pengujian yang dilakukan terhadap sistem, sistem mampu memberikan rekomendasi dosen pembimbing kepada pengguna berdasarkan perhitungan yang dilakukan menggunakan metode SAW, sistem juga menyediakan fitur untuk pemilihan dosen pembimbing skripsi
