    El coaching como estrategia de desarrollo profesional para profesores de cátedra en una universidad colombiana

    RESUMEN: Este artículo reporta los resultados de un estudio en el cual el coaching fue usado como estrategia de desarrollo profesional con cinco profesores de cátedra en una universidad pública de Colombia. Es un estudio de caso instrumental basado en los principios de la investigación cualitativa. Las fuentes de recolección de datos fueron un cuestionario, sesiones de coaching, entrevistas semiestructuradas y reportes finales de los coaches y los cinco profesores participantes. En los resultados las voces de los docentes muestran las ganancias a nivel personal y profesional después de su participación en las sesiones de coaching, además la importancia de la confianza y el interés genuino para el desarrollo efectivo de las sesiones y su liderazgo personal para tomar decisiones en relación a su propio desarrollo profesional.ABSTRACT: This article reports the results of a study in which coaching was used as a professional development strategy with five foreign language adjunct instructors at a public university in Colombia.     Implementation of a Critical Intercultural Approach Based on Women's Roles in Medellín

    ABSTRACT: This action research report describes the experience during the implementation of a critical intercultural approach at Centro Formativo de Antioquia CEFA in Medellín. It was developed with a small group of female students from 11th grade. This project was based on women’s roles in our city and had four main sections where these roles were reviewed through time (past, present and future) along with their defining factors. Data were collected from a journal, surveys and students’ work. Although all the objectives for the project could not be achieved due to different limitations, findings showed that students perceptions about women’s roles changed during the development of the activities and lead them to different reflections. Moreover, they were more engaged in their learning process and improved their English knowledge by having the opportunity to express their ideas and using language in context
