TANMANA BHOJANGATAH CHITAH (PSCHYE AND FOOD)
Three million ago of the south Asian region, India had his own traditional system of medicine which known as Ayurveda. It explains the Rasa, Guna, Virya, and Vipaka of the Dravyas (Medicinal as well as food materials). It gives us some unique concepts to take the food (Asta ahar vidhi Visheshayatana) and its effect on body and mind. Ayurveda is science of wellness which primarily deals in food and behavioural aspects. Food and psychology has a good relation in Ayurveda. Emotions and psychological state has a very profound role in the proper digestion and metabolism of food. Ayurveda explains different psychological and emotional state of digestion, and establishment of ground rule that we should have food with psychological relaxation without any mental disturbance. As well as impact of occupational stress and weight conscious diet on digestion according to modern medical science is discussed. Ayurveda already have many references in many places of different Samhitas especially in Charak, Sushrut and Astang. They clearly told that we have to follow the rules of Asht-Aharvidhi Visheshayatana and they coded that, food has his own properties which helps to enhance the physical factors as well as mental factors of the body. Balanced food habits complete the both Prayojana of the Ayurveda which is “Swasthasya Swastha Rakshanam and Aturasya Vikara Prashamanm Cha”. Emotional status of the person at the food taking time also plays an important role of its digestion and metabolism in the body. A big question arise here that whether first psychology effect in digestion of food or food affecting the psychology of the person
Relative Bearing Estimation from Commodity Radios
Abstract — Relative bearing between robots is important in applications like pursuit-evasion [11] and SLAM [7]. This is also true in in sensor networks, where the bearing of one sensor node relative to another has been used for localization [5], [17], [20] and topology control [13], [22], [6]. Most systems use dedicated sensors like an IR array or a camera to obtain relative bearing. We study the use of radio signal strength (RSS) in commodity radios for obtaining relative bearing. We show that by using the robot’s mobility, commodity radios can be used to obtain coarse relative bearing. This measurement can be used for a suite of applications that do not require very precise bearing measurement. We analyze signal strength variations in simulation and experiment. We also show an algorithm that uses this coarse bearing computation in a practical setting. I
PerfCenter: a methodology and tool for performance analysis of application hosting centers
We present a tool, PerfCenter, that takes as input the deployment, configuration, message flow and workload details of the hardware and software servers in an application hosting center, and predicts the performance of the applications. We allow for a hierarchical specification of the data center, where software is deployed on machines, machines consist of hardware devices and are deployed on LANs. We also explicitly model network links between LANs and model the contention at those links due to messages exchanged between servers. While tools and methodologies for such analysis have been proposed earlier, our approach allows for the most natural specification of a "data center" architecture, and is best suited for aiding in design decisions regarding deployment and configuration of software on various hardware architecture scenarios. The tool takes this high level input and generates the underlying queueing network, which is then solved analytically. Since we allow for synchronous method calls, and model contention at software as well as hardware resources, the generated queueing network is solved using approximate methods. We validate the solution against results obtained from a measurement testbed, and found that the predicted values were reasonably accurate.© IEE
