    Rally for Normative Demands and Solidarity of Workers

    This research is initiated by an interesting fact that there are still many labor strikes and rallies in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to determine: the influence of normative demands and solidarity together on job dissatisfaction of workers. This research is intended as explanatory research. Sampling method used in this research is accidental sampling. The sample consists of 100 workers/laborers who joined rallies on May 1, 2014. The results show on the indicator the amount of City Minimum Wage Rates in normative demands variable, respondents believe the amount of wages earned are still not in accordance with the provisions of the minimum wage set by the government. Participation of workers in the fight for economic security must be done in various ways including demonstrations, based on solidarity between workers in order to put pressure on policy makers with regard to labor issues. In conclusion, good normative demands in accordance with the provisions of the agreement and the strong solidarity between workers will reduce dissatisfaction. Suggestions are made on normative demands variable; review should be made on the amount of the city minimum wage rates; leave entitlements, workers social security and dismissal policies should be in compliance with the current government policy

    In the year 2011 through 2015, PT Cassanatama Naturindo have a disturbance of their business development, mainly on their sale per year and absence of their worker. According of the retreived data, there is effect between worker absence and their sales ups and down compared of their target that must accomplished. So, from that fact researcher can see that there is relation between work motivation, work satisfaction, and work discipline with worker performance.This study aims to determine the effect of work motivation and work satisfaction towards worker performance thru work discipline as intervening variable. Type of explanatory research, data collection techniques are interviews with the tool questionnaire, sampling technique purposive sampling with a sample size 95 of PT Cassanatama Naturindo Semarang Workers. The data were analyzed through software SPSS.The result showed work motivation towards work discipline have affect with t score > t table. The effect work satisfaction with work discpline have affection t score > t table. Effect of work motivation and work satisfaction towards work discipline with F score > F table, effect work motivation towards worker performance with t score > t table, effect of work satisfaction toward worker performance with t score > t table, effect of work discipline towards work performance with t score > t table, effect of work motivation, work satisfaction, and work discipline towards work performance with F score > F table. Fairly, based of sobel test, work motivation affecting worker performance thru work discipline, have t score > t table, and work satisfaction affecting worker performance thru work discipline have t score > t table.In Conclusion, all of independent variables of this study have affect towards dependent variables, either partially or simultan, thus work motivation which affecting worker performance thru work discipline occured partial mediation, and work satisfaction variable with worker performance thru work discipline occured partial mediation. Reseacher suggest, on increasing worker performance, company must expressly correcting accuracy of employee to producing consistent with company standard. Dividing job must consistently with employee skill so that they can work as maximize, and then company could afford training for their workers, increase salary, and concern of recruitment education

    The research is motivated by the fact that many companies today use outsourced labor. One of them is PT. Bank Jateng Semarang. The number of employes' absence from work, due to illness or other reasons, increases from 2010 to 2011 which indicates the pressence of stress at work and a problem with the physical work environment which in turn will have an impact on employees performance. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of work stress and physical work environment to the performance of outsorcing employees at PT. Bank Jateng Semarang. In this explanatory ​​research, data are collected using questionnaires. The method of analysis used in this study is linear regression. The analysis shows that job stress has no significant effect to the employee's performance. The company is expected to pay more attention to the outsourced employees, so they can improve the performance of the company

    Purchasing decision stage decision process where the consumer actually purchases theproduct. Generated by the purchasing decisions of consumers would be more difficult, especially in acompetitive market because there are many options that make the consumer is free to make his choice.Allegations of factors that influence the purchase decision is brand awareness and quality of service.This study was conducted to determine the effect of brand awareness and quality of service onpurchasing decisions in Peacock Coffee Gajah Mada Semarang. In this study using the technique ofsampling non probability sampling with accidental sampling that can be taken 155 consumerrespondents Peacock Coffee Gajah Mada Semarang. The data analysis used is regression. The resultsshowed that the results of the t 19.591> t table 1.975 then kesdaran brand (X1) has a positive andsignificant impact on purchasing decisions (Y), the results of the t 21.302> t table 1.975, the qualityof service (X2) has a positive and significant impact on the purchasing decisions (Y). The resultsshowed that there was a positive and significant influence between brand awareness and servicequality together to purchasing decision

    Public interest to tourism activity is always increasing, seen from the many deals offered by Travel Agencies in internet. Tourism spots seem to be a promising business to by playing the tourism management role. Karimunjawa Island has massive potentials that need to be exposed to public. The paper seeks to provide insights into the application of marketing communication strategies, with social media and word of mouth communication in tourism industry from the perspectives of its tourism potentials, evaluating their effectiveness for place branding management at Karimunjawa National Park. The specific purpose is to uncover the important role marketing communication with practice of social media and word of mouth to build the place brands by engaging potential visitors. The social media and word of mouth proved to be a major communication vehicle that spread across the region like wildfire. Tourism industry is one of the sectors that have beneficiated the most from the marketing communication strategies. As a result social media word of mouth have become an integral part of Karimunjawa National Park place branding.Qualitative case-study method generates understanding of how social media and word of mouth communicate the Karimunjawa National Park's tourism potentials. In-depth interview allows exploration of how the marketing communication strategies with practice of social media and word of mouth used in place branding processes. As a result, the relationship between travel agent and customers is closer than ever, with businesses continuing to turn to social media and word of mouth to promote their services and reach customers in a more intimate and personal way

    Padang restaurant is a restaurant business that sells and serves various culinary or minang Kabau dish originating from West Sumatra. Restaurant business Padang many newly been established both in the scale of micro, small, medium and large in Indonesia, especially in the Semarang city. Increasing number of business also will be increasing fierce competition. Business owners should have a strategy in the factor - factor of location, diversity of products, Quality of Service, and how consumer responses and reasons in making purchasing decisionsThe data were collected by using an overview of the field, observation, interviews, documents gathering, and literatures, and been analyzed by the case study method. The results showed that the location, product diversity, and quality of service that is owned by Padang restaurant in the city of Semarang has been good enough and strategic adjustable with theory and research that has been done before. In a purchase decision, consumers pay attention to all the factors of every Padang restaurant, and consumers prefer to loyal factor in the diversity of products owned by Padang restaurant. With a variety of advantages, it is recommended to small business of Padang restaurant owners in order to maintain the advantages, and make location improvements and make an innovation either for their products and the estabilished services

    The work force in Indonesia along the development of the changes. One of the amendments that is an influx of women in the work force. PT Phapros Tbk is one of the companies in semarang have female employees who in 2013 until 2016 an up and down in attendance or absentee fluctuant. Both are permitted employee performance can be seen from the dual role, job stress and motivation work.The purpose of this research is to find influence the dual role, job stress and motivation work on performance female employees in pt phapros tbk semarang city. Type research is explanatory research, to technique data collection through the questionnaire and interview. The sample techniques used technique purposive sampling. Sample 100 respondents were is an employee women pt phapros tbk semarang. This research using a technique the quantitative analysis. The quantitative analysis use the validity, reliability test, a correlation coefficient, regression analysis simple and multiple, the coefficients determination, the significance ( test T and test F ).This research result indicates that there was a correlation in the category of strong between variables the dual role, job stress, and motivation work of the performance of employees where the value of r of 0,579. Variable free third was proven have a positive influence and significantly to employee performance. Evidenced by the results of the test positive regression of 0,146 to the dual role, 0,025 for stress work and motivation 0,307 to work. The f count of 16,168 greater than f table (2,703).Based on the results of the study, the researchers suggest PT Phapros tbk. to be able to create a pleasant working environment, manage stress well, pay attention to the quality and quantity of results of work of employees
