Cardiological evaluation of patients with a cerebral ischemic event: the relation between heart and brain
In this study several aspects of the cardiological evaluation of patients with
cerebral ischemia are described; its usefulness for diagnosis and treatment is
discussed. The aim of this thesis is to approach the clinical and epidemiological aspects of
patients with cerebral ischemic events, while recogoizing the existence of beanbrain
interactions in atherosclerotic disease [22]. The general idea is that the
organism shonld be considered as a whole; the philosophical term for this idea
is 'holism' [23, 24, 25]. In biology the holistic idea can be confirmed by the
existence of generalized diseases such as atherosclerosis [26, 27, 28]. A cerebral
ischemic event can be considered as a 'Gestalt'. 1bis 'Gestalt' consists of a
figure and a background [21]. In the figure the special or local relationship of
atherosclerosis with one patt of the organism is expressed: in cerebral ischemia
the brain is the affected organ. The figure, however, may never be considered
apatt from its background. In brain ischemia, the background is formed by
atherosclerosis existiog in the whole organism; coronary sclerosis is pan of this
background. The extent to which the specific or local charaCter of an event
manifests itself, depends on the influence of the local event on the phenomenon
as a whole and vice vers
STUDY OF ROMANIAN BLACK AND WHITE BREED PRODUCTIVE PERFORMANCES FROM BISTRIŢA-NÄSÄUD COUNTY
This research aims to highlight the main cattle productive features of Romanian Black Spotted breed, raised for milk production in Bistrita-NÄsÄud county. A number of 386 milk cows were taken into research which produced a total of 1194 lactations. Production and reproduction data were obtained through the official control of milk production, the existing databases at UARZ units (origin, reproduction and production) from the named county and there were taken, processed and statistically interpreted. In Bistrita-NÄsÄud Romanian Black Spotted cows achieved performances between 1047 kg of milk and 17196 kg of milk, with an average production on normal lactation of 4212 kg of milk, and 4846 kg of milk on total lactation
STUDY OF PRODUCTIVE PERFORMANCES SPECIFIC TO DAIRY COWS BREEDED IN FARMS OF DIFFERENT SIZES IN BISTRITA NASAUD COUNTY
The research were made in farms of various capacities located in Bistrita-NÄsÄud on an effective by 1029 heads of cows, out of which 100 heads with 370 lactations in holdings with 15-30 heads, 168 heads with 638 lactations in holdings with 31-50 heads, 303 heads with 1068 lactations in holdings with 51-100 heads and 458 heads which produced 1692 lactations in holdings with over 100 heads. From data analysis results that all 15 analyzed holdings, achieved average productions over 4000 kg of milk on normal lactation and 7 holdings accomplished average productions over 5000 kg, with an average productions which varies between 3814 kg and 8668 kg of milk
The Corrosion Behaviour of Aluminum Alloy 2024 - T3 in Acidic Environments
This research aimed at analysing the acidic corrosion behavior of aluminum alloy 2024-T3 commonly used in the aerospace. We study the variation of corrosion rate with immersion time at different values of H2SO4 concentration and corrosion rate variation depending on the concentration of the solution setting the group of corrosion of the alloy. Aluminum forms initially a few-nm-thick layer of aluminum oxide, γ-Al, which after prolonged exposure in humidified air is covered by aluminum oxyhydroxide, γ-AlOOH, and subsequently by various hydrated aluminum oxides and aluminum hydroxides. The exposed metal surfaces involved aspects of the corrosion process in 0.1M H2SO4, 0.01M H2SO4 and 0.001M H2SO4 solutions, to determine the type of corrosion and propagation mechanism in acidic environments
Studies concerning mass and heat transfer on B7 structured packing
The paper presents theoretical and experimental data concerning mass and heat transfer on B7 structured packing, used for deuterium separation in distillation column. The first section of the paper is dedicated to mass transfer study for hydrogen distillation, and the second section to mass and heat transfer for water distillation. Mathematical model verification was carried out with experimental data, obtained from two laboratory distillation plants for deuterium separation. The experimental data concerning B7 ordered packing efficiency for hydrogen cryogenic distillation at about â250 °C level were obtained from the first plant, and the second plant provided data concerning mass and heat transfer on the same packing for deuterium separation by water vacuum distillation at about 60 °C level. Height of transfer unit and mass and heat transfer coefficients, evaluated theoretically and experimentally, are comparable with those from chemical industry separation processes. This fact justifies the use of multi-tubular column model or transfer process description at distillation column equipped with B7 structured packing
Ethical aspects in managing patients diagnosed with digestive cancers; a review of literature
Numerous bioethical recommendations are now available in the complex process of communication with cancer patients. In this review, we have focused on the complex process of managing patients with different types of oncologic digestive diseases, immediately after the diagnosis is made.
We have analyzed the literature data on the topic. MEDSCAPE and PubMed databases have been studied. Issues such as telling the truth to patients with digestive cancer, the physician\u27s responsibility in the psychological management of patients and their relatives, the nursesâ duties, the consented death, the practice of euthanasia and physician-assisted suicide (PAS) as well as the clinical research have been the main targets of our study
