Creatine excretion in diabetes mellitus
Dupuytren's contracture is a common condition in diabetes mellitus. One of the authors has described 120 of these cases among 381 diabetics in the older age group. Steinberg has stated that in Dupuytren's contracture the creatine excretion in the urine is increased and suggests that both in this condition and in fibrositis there is an abnormality in tissue metabolism. He found that the total amount of creatine excreted per 24 hours in cases of primary fibrositis was 264-918 mg. (in this group he included Dupuytren's contracture). In 12 out of 15 cases it was over 300 mg. per 24 hours. In view of this suggestion and the frequency of Dupuytren's contracture in diabetes, it was decided to investigate the creatine excretion in a series of diabetic patients
Two cases of cushing's syndrome
Two patients, one with Cushing's syndrome and one with Cushing's disease, are presented. In the first case the syndrome was caused by a tumour of the right suprarenal gland which was treated by unilateral adrenalectomy, and the second case was diagnosed as hyperplasia of the left suprarenal gland, eventually leading to removal of all cortical tissue. Subsequently the typical features of Nelson's syndrome developed.S. Af. J. 48, 725 (1974)

Survey of nucleon electromagnetic form factors
A dressed-quark core contribution to nucleon electromagnetic form factors is
calculated. It is defined by the solution of a Poincare' covariant Faddeev
equation in which dressed-quarks provide the elementary degree of freedom and
correlations between them are expressed via diquarks. The nucleon-photon vertex
involves a single parameter; i.e., a diquark charge radius. It is argued to be
commensurate with the pion's charge radius. A comprehensive analysis and
explanation of the form factors is built upon this foundation. A particular
feature of the study is a separation of form factor contributions into those
from different diagram types and correlation sectors, and subsequently a
flavour separation for each of these. Amongst the extensive body of results
that one could highlight are: r_1^{n,u}>r_1^{n,d}, owing to the presence of
axial-vector quark-quark correlations; and for both the neutron and proton the
ratio of Sachs electric and magnetic form factors possesses a zero.Comment: 43 pages, 17 figures, 12 tables, 5 appendice
Precise predictions for the Higgs production in association with a W-boson pair at ILC
The Higgs-boson production in association with a W-boson pair at
linear colliders is one of the important processes in probing the coupling
between Higgs-boson and vector gauge bosons and discovering the signature of
new physics. We describe the impact of the complete electroweak(EW) radiative
corrections of to this process in the standard
model(SM) at the International Linear Collider(ILC), and investigate the
dependence of the lowest-order(LO) and EW next-to-leading order(NLO) corrected
cross sections on colliding energy and Higg-boson mass. The LO and
NLO EW corrected distributions of the invariant mass of W-boson pair and the
transverse momenta of final - and Higgs-boson are presented. Our numerical
results show that the relative EW radiative correction() varies
from -19.4% to 0.2% when and goes up from to
