EFFECT OF 2D AND 3D COIL ON THE DYNAMIC MOLD TEMPERATURE CONTROL BY INDUCTION HEATING

    Get PDF
Electromagnetic induction heating has many advantages such as fast heating, low energy consumption and reduced environmental pollution. Using induction heating for rapid tool heating is more economical and efficient than any of the current tool heating techniques. In this research, using both experiment and simulation, the 2D and 3D design of induction coil were applied to verify the heating capacity of mold plate. With the 2D coil, after 2 s for heating, the temperature of mold plate can increase from 40 oC to 108 oC. However, the low temperature area appears at the center of the mold plate. On the contrary, when the 3D design was used, the max temperature reached to 89 oC at the end of heating period, and the low temperature area was removed

Parameter Estimation and Predictive Speed Control of Chopper-Fed Brushed DC Motors

    Get PDF
This paper presents an effective speed control method for brushed DC motors fed by a DC chopper using the concept of Finite Control Set-Model Predictive Control (FCS-MPC). As this control algorithm requires the parameters of the controlled object, the estimation of motor parameters is first performed by using two types of data. The first data includes the output speed response corresponding to the step input voltage to obtain the transfer function in the no-load regime. The second data consists of the motor speed and armature current when a load torque is applied to the motor shaft. The discrete-time equation of the motor armature circuit is used to obtain the future values of the armature circuit current and the motor speed. A cost function is defined based on the difference between the reference and predicted motor speed. The optimal switching states of the DC chopper are selected corresponding to the maximum value of the cost function. The performance of the proposed speed control algorithm is validated on an experimental system. The simulation and experimental results obtained show that the MPC controller can outperform the conventional proportional-integral (PI) controller

Factors Influencing Consumer Behavior to Purchase Vegan Cosmetics in Vietnam

    Get PDF
The research aims to examine the factors that significantly influenced consumer behavior to purchase vegan cosmetics in Vietnam, including Reference Group, Consumer Perception, Salesperson Attitude, Product Quality, Price, Place, Promotion, and Brand. Data was collected through self-administered close-ended questionnaire from a sample of 480 consumers in Vietnam. For analysis purpose, SPSS 22 were used to confirm the validity concerns and determine the proposed relationship among selected variables. The output reveals that product quality is the strongest influencers of consumer behaviour to purchase vegan cosmetics, followed by Reference Group, Salesman Attitude, Place, Price, Promotion, Brand and Consumer Perception. This study provides a ‘snapshot’ to the government and cosmetics businesses about the determinants of consumer behaviour to purchase vegan cosmetics in Vietnam. Keywords: factors, consumer behaviour, vegan cosmetics DOI: 10.7176/JESD/14-6-03 Publication date:March 31st 202

Evolution of Relationships Between Dislocation Microstructures and Internal Stresses of AISI 316L During Cyclic Loading at 293K and 573K (20°C and 300°C)

    Get PDF
The evolution of dislocation densities and of dislocation microstructures during cyclic loading of AISI 316L is systematically evaluated. In addition, internal stresses are also measured for every cycle and comprehensively analyzed. These observations are made in order to establish relationships between the evolution of dislocation condition and internal stresses, and ultimately to obtain a thorough insight into the complex cyclic response of AISI 316L. Moreover, the dependencies of established relationships on the variation of temperature and strain amplitude are investigated. The back stresses (long-range stresses associated with the presence of collective dislocations over different length scales) are mainly responsible for the cyclic deformation response at high strain amplitudes where dislocations tend to move more quickly in a wavy manner. In contrast, the effective stress, coupling with short-range dislocation interactions, plays an insignificant role on the material cyclic response for wavy slip conditions, but increasingly becomes more important for planar slip conditions. The additionally strong short-range interactions between dislocations and point defects (initially with solute atoms and later in life with corduroy structure) at 573K (300°C) cause dislocations to move in more planar ways, resulting in a significant increase in effective stress, leading to their influential role on the material cyclic response

Data Driven Customer Segmentation for Vietnamese SMEs in Big Data Era

    Get PDF
Almost Vietnamese big businesses often use outsourcing services to do marketing researches such as analysing and evaluating consumer intention and behaviour, customers’ satisfaction, customers’ loyalty, market share, market segmentation and some similar marketing studies. One of the most favourite marketing research business in Vietnam is ACNielsen and Vietnam big businesses usually plan and adjust marketing activities based on ACNielsen’s report. Belong to the limitation of budget, Vietnamese small and medium enterprises (SMEs) often do marketing researches by themselves. Among the marketing researches activities in SMEs, customer segmentation is conducted by tools such as Excel, Facebook analytics or only by simple design thinking approach to help save costs. However, these tools are no longer suitable for the age of data information explosion today. This article uses case analysing of the United Kingdom online retailer through clustering algorithm on R package. The result proves clustering method’s superiority in customer segmentation compared to the traditional method (SPSS, Excel, Facebook analytics, design thinking) which Vietnamese SMEs are using. More important, this article helps Vietnamese SMEs understand and apply clustering algorithm on R in customer segmenting on their given data set efficiently. On that basis, Vietnamese SMEs can plan marketing programs and drive their actions as contextualizing and/or personalizing their message to their customers suitabl

THE EFFECT OF SUPPORT FROM ORGANIZATIONS AND TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP ON AFFECTIVE COMMITMENT OF EMPLOYEES OF INDUSTRIAL ENTERPRISES OF VIETNAM

    Get PDF
He result of a survey of 547 workers at Vietnamese industrial enterprises shows that the organizational support and the transformation leadership have a positive and statistically significant correlation with emotional commitment. The results of the regression analysis confirm that the organizational support has more influence than the transformational leadership on emotional commitment. In addition, the social package and charisma have the strongest effect on emotional commitment. This study also showed that transformational leadership has a moderating effect on the interaction between organizationalal support and emotional commitment. The study suggests some recommendations to improve the workers’s emotional commitment to the organization

Alloy design against the solidification cracking in fusion additive manufacturing: an application to a FeCrAl alloy

    Get PDF
This study developed a design methodology against liquid-state cracking by combining the Scheil–Gulliver solidification simulations and Machine Learning analysis to design alloys for Fusion Additive Manufacturing. Applying this design approach resulted in a Fe–20Cr–7Al–4Mo–3Ni. The alloy was successfully printed with relative densities of over 99%. Microstructure of printed material was extensively characterised through scanning and transmission electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectroscopy and x-ray diffraction, confirming a single-phase material with low texture and negligible chemical segregation. Neither solidification nor liquation cracks were detected, supporting the validity of the methodology, however, the alloy suffered from solid-state cracking, hindering the ductility
