    Import 03/08/2012Diplomová práce se zabývala problematikou odolnosti zásobníku hnědého uhlí vůči interní explozi. Předmětem řešení byl konkrétní zásobník, který je přivařen ke stropní konstrukci teplárny v Táboře. Těžištěm práce pak bylo vytvoření modelu zásobníku hnědého uhlí a změna stávající konstrukce tak, aby se zvýšila jeho odolnost vůči vnitřnímu výbuchu. Z důvodu velmi krátkého časového děje výbuchu, který trvá jen několik milisekund, byla pro řešení uvedené problematiky použita explicitní metoda řešení nelineárních úloh dynamiky. Konkrétně byl použit modul Explicit Dynamics programu Ansys Workbench 13.0.The thesis dealt with resistance of brown coal tray to internal explosion. The subject of the concrete tray, which is welded to the supporting structure of the heating plant in Tabor. The focus of my work was to create a model of brown coal tray and change the existing construction so as to increase its resistance to internal explosion. Because of the very short time of explosion which takes only a few milliseconds was for the solution of this problem used an explicit method for solving nonlinear problems of dynamics.     As the promise of personalized medicine in the treatment of cancer begins to be realized, the diagnostic techniques needed to drive that revolution have continued to evolve. What started as optical imaging of banded chromosomes for karyotyping has progressed to DNA sequencing and now next‐generation sequencing capable of producing billions of reads. There are currently a large number of techniques that are used in the clinical laboratory for assessing the presence of mutations in lung tumors, all with their own strengths and weaknesses. Here, we survey the technology that is available and take a closer look at next‐generation sequencing. We discuss the instruments that are currently on the market and demonstrate the common workflow from patient to data. Additionally, the outside factors that influence the use of these technologies, from government regulation to insurance reimbursement, are presented

    The past, present, and future of the Brain Imaging Data Structure (BIDS)

    The Brain Imaging Data Structure (BIDS) is a community-driven standard for the organization of data and metadata from a growing range of neuroscience modalities. This paper is meant as a history of how the standard has developed and grown over time. We outline the principles behind the project, the mechanisms by which it has been extended, and some of the challenges being addressed as it evolves. We also discuss the lessons learned through the project, with the aim of enabling researchers in other domains to learn from the success of BIDS

    Import 29/09/2010Bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou napětí pláště hydraulického motoru. Tento motor je určen k pohonu hydraulické vrtačky pro důlní průmysl. Hydromotor je specifický tím, že se k jeho pohonu používá vodní emulze. Těžištěm práce je realizace výpočtu napětí pomocí metody počítačového modelování ve výpočtovém programu ANSYS 12. Na základě vyhodnocení získaných výsledků byly navrženy konstrukční úpravy, které zajistily snížení hmotnosti hydromotoru. Správnost navržených konstrukčních úprav byla následně ověřena opětovným výpočtem napětí pláště hydromotoru.In bachelor thesis is accomplished stress analysis of the jacket hydraulic motor´s. This motor used for driving a hydraulic drill in mininig industry. Hydraulic motor is specific that for driving is used water emulsion, the thesis is focused on determination of stress. with the assistance of finite element method in computational program ANSYS 12. The obtained results make the base for suggested construction changes which decreased mass of hydromotor.     Expression of lamin C2 in mammalian oocytes.

    Lamin C2 (LMN C2) is a short product of the lamin a gene. It is a germ cell-specific lamin and has been extensively studied in male germ cells. In this study, we focussed on the expression and localization of LMN C2 in fully-grown germinal vesicle (GV) oocytes. We detected LMN C2 in the fully-grown germinal vesicle oocytes of various mammalian species with confirmation done by immunoblotting the wild type and Lmnc2 gene deleted testes. Expression of LMN C2 tagged with GFP showed localization of LMN C2 to the nuclear membrane of the oocyte. Moreover, the LMN C2 protein notably disappeared after nuclear envelope breakdown (NEBD) and the expression of LMN C2 was significantly reduced in the oocytes from aged females and ceased altogether during meiotic maturation. These results provide new insights regarding LMN C2 expression in the oocytes of various mammalian species
