    The article presents an overview of papers on communication that appeared in the September 2003 issue of the journal "Australian Journal of Communication." This issue of the journal opens with Bond University professor Mary Power's wide-ranging and stirring presidential address to the annual conference of the Australian & New Zealand Communication Association, held at the Queensland University of Technology in July 2003. Authors Elizabeth More and Michael McGrath enhance the understanding of collaboration in business-to-business e-commerce through two detailed case studies of consortia projects. Authors R. Warwick Blood, Jane Pirkis, Ian Hickie, and Graham Martin provide insight into how parts of the Australian media presented risk knowledge in their coverage of an Australian court case. From their study of post-graduate Hong Kong Chinese students' interpretation of study abroad and online learning material placed on the Internet by Western tertiary institutions, authors Prue Holmes and Sean O'Halloran reach a range of implications that designers and marketers of global e-education should find compelling
